Chapter 9: Fluff and Stuff

Inuyasha stopped after a while of running, confusion filling his
entire being. He hadn't run entire that far, but just enough to get
away from the object of his confusion. The kiss he and Kouga had
shared made him more scared and confused that he ever had been in his
life. Inuyasha sat down underneath a tree to sort out himself before
he could return. His heart was still racing from the kiss and didn't
seem to want to slow down anytime soon

Even though he told himself he didn't like the kiss his body was
unwilling to agree with him. 'What is wrong with me?' Inuyasha stared
down at his hands, 'why do I feel this way?' Many questions circled
round and round Inuyasha's head. Yet, they all came back to the same
answer; Kouga. Inuyasha sat there, continuing to stare at his hands,
unsure of what to do or think anymore. 'I couldn't have liked
that…could I?'

'Of course you could have you, Inu-no-baka!' a voice inside his head
screamed at him

'No, no, no!' Inuyasha thought as he shook his head, 'I didn't like it!'

'Yet, you didn't pull away when he kiss you,' the voice argued, 'if
you didn't like him at all would you be so confused? Afraid even?'

'Why?' Inuyasha pondered this, 'I can't like him…I just cant…'

'You can and you do,' the voice stated, 'you love him even if you
don't want to admit it.'

"Love?" Inuyasha whispered to the night, yet receiving no answer. He
couldn't love the wolf. Inuyasha sat quietly underneath the tree
trying to figure out why he was so confused. Images of Kouga kissing
him flashed through his mind, and he felt his body getting warm again.
'What is this feeling?' Inuyasha asked himself as his heart started to
race faster

Inuyasha raised his hand and touched his lips, 'still warm…' Inuyasha
was feeling many things at the moment. Confusion, fear, and…dread?
Inuyasha knew that the voice in his head was right. He did like the
wolf the attentions the wolf gave him and he possibly even love him.
But then, why, was he having this feeling of dread? Inuyasha's eyes
widened in realization at what he had done. He had run away from
Kouga, without saying a word

Inuyasha took off back towards the den. The thought that Kouga might
think he hated him scared him. Now he knew his true feelings towards
Kouga, yet he was still confused. Inuyasha ran, intent on telling
Kouga the truth

~ % ~ IK ~ % ~

Kouga sat near the hot spring where he and Inuyasha shared their first
kiss. Even though neither of them intended to do it, Kouga had liked
the feeling of Inuyasha's lips on his. Yet, when Inuyasha had run, he
felt like something inside of him broke. Kouga touched his lips with
his hand. Was that kiss the first and the last they would ever share?
Would Inuyasha run and leave him forever?

'Does he hate me now?' Kouga asked himself. Kouga stared down at the
ground blankly, 'he must be disgusted with me…' Kouga felt tears
coming to his eyes yet he willed himself not to cry. He could find
another, 'but…if that was true then why do I feel so broken inside?'
Kouga screwed his eyes up tightly so the tears wouldn't fall. Kouga
felt like his world was coming down, like it was killing him from the
inside out

Over the weeks that Inuyasha had been there he had come to love the
hanyou. At first he just thought of him as a good friend and possible
mate. But as he got to know him, he slowly came to the realization
that he loved him. Inuyasha had, even if they were arguing, made him
feel whole. Filling the spot in his heart that had always been empty.
Kouga knew that eventually his heart would heal itself but until that
time he would have to bare the hurt

Kouga made to get up but froze when he felt arms snake around his
waist. Kouga turned his head to see Inuyasha with his arms around him
and his head resting on his back. "Inuyasha, what…?" Kouga was glad
that Inuyasha didn't hate him

"I'm sorry Kouga…for running off like that…" Inuyasha whispered, "I
just got so confused…I didn't know what else to do." Kouga turned
around and pulled Inuyasha close to him

"It's ok…" Kouga told him. His heart soared when Inuyasha had come
back and he felt relieved that Inuyasha didn't hate him as he thought
he might

'This feeling…' Inuyasha pressed himself as close to Kouga as he
could, and allowed the calmness to flow over him. Inuyasha felt safe
now that he was near Kouga, 'is this what love feels like?' Something
deep down in him told him that this was his love for the wolf demon
and he couldn't help but smile. Inuyasha was still confused inside,
"Kouga?"

"Hm?"

"I…" Inuyasha stopped, unsure of what to say. Inuyasha thought about
it for a minute before speaking. "I just need some time…so I can
figure out what I want." Inuyasha's eyes began to droop as he inhaled
Kouga's scent, "I'm still confused about all this," he murmured

"I'll wait for you," Kouga whispered. Inuyasha's breath evened out and
Kouga knew he fell asleep. Kouga picked him up and began making his
way back to the den feeling a bit tired himself. 'Inuyasha, I'll wait
a thousand lifetimes if you would just accept me.' Kouga made his way
past the waterfall and towards their hut, 'I love you Inuyasha."

Kouga kicked back the covers on the bed and set Inuyasha down. Kouga
pulled the covers over him and Inuyasha as he climbed in. Kouga
wrapped his arms around the other man and pulled him so his back was
flush with his chest. "Goodnight Inuyasha…" Kouga whispered as he let
sleep overtake him

It is said that the deepest pits of hell are reserved for the most
evil and despicable beings to walk the earth. Yet a single pure soul
lay trapped in a world of fire and darkness. Chains held her frail
body to the rock wall behind her, marring her pale skin. Her long
raven black hair a tangled mess, her clothes tattered and covered in
her own dried blood. Long ago she has stopped bleeding yet she could
not die because she was already dead

Cuts on every part of her body, burning as the fire licked at them.
Yet she would not scream, numb to the pain that had befallen her. How
could such a pure soul as hers be in the deepest pits of hell? For
thirty-seven years she had been cut, burned, frozen, enshrouded in
darkness yet her soul would not tarnish. The girl did not seem to
breath, as she lay there, chained to the wall

No hope of ever escaping slipped into her mind. She knew she was dead
and could never return to the land of the living. Her soul was to
forever remain in this hellish place. Yet, something still called her
soul, to never give up hope. Her eyes were closed as if she was
asleep, when suddenly her body pulsed

'Awaken…' an echoing voice whispered

Sapphire eyes slowly opened and her body pulsed again. A green aura
surrounded her body as she awoke from her dead sleep. The flames
around her dissipated as her body pulsed again

'Awaken…' an echoing voice whispered again, this time louder

The chains holding her body to the wall were engulfed in her aura and
shattered. The girl slumped foreword onto her knees as she was
released. Again, her body pulsed with unseen energy. The scars, burns
and cuts on her body began to repair themselves, as her aura grew
stronger

'Awaken…' an echoing voice said, louder yet again

Her body pulsed again and her clothes began to mend themselves. Her
whole body was engulfed in a green light, casting the shadows away
from her in all directions. The green light died away and there she
stood. Her long raven black hair, straitened and no longer tangled,
her sapphire blue eyes half open. "It is time," her soft, yet
beautiful voice echoed around her

She had awoken

~ % ~ IK ~ % ~

Inuyasha next morning Inuyasha awoke to find himself curled next to
Kouga. Inuyasha lay there contemplating his feelings towards the wolf
that lay beside him. A few things still had Inuyasha confused about
the wolf but decided to lay it to rest for now. Inuyasha turned to
look at the still sleeping Kouga. 'He looks so innocent when he's
asleep,' Inuyasha mused as he studied the sleeping wolf, 'I wonder why
I never noticed it before.'

'Because you never bothered to look,' a voice inside him told him

'That makes sense I guess,' Inuyasha unconsciously licked his lips as
his eyes came to rest on Kouga's lips. 'I wonder if he wouldn't mind…'
Inuyasha leaned closer to Kouga. Inuyasha's face was a hairsbreadth
away from Kouga's when his eyes opened. They stared at each other for
a moment before Inuyasha broke away, a blush evident on his face

"Uhh, good morning," Kouga said awkwardly. He stared down at the
blushing hanyou and smirked evilly. Kouga pushed Inuyasha onto his
back and leaned over him, "you wanted this?" Kouga pressed his lips
against Inuyasha's. He was mildly surprised to find Inuyasha kissing
him back but didn't complain

Inuyasha wrapped his arms around Kouga's neck and brought him closer.
Inuyasha gasped in surprise when Kouga nipped at his bottom lip. The
scent of arousal from Inuyasha spiked when Kouga slipped his tongue
into his mouth, eliciting a moan of pleasure from the hanyou. They
finally broke the kiss when the need for air willed them to, leaving
both men panting heavily

"Good morning," Inuyasha whispered huskily

"Urgh, would you two do that somewhere else?" someone said from beside them

Inuyasha and Kouga looked over to see Shippou sitting up on the bed, a
small frown on his face. Inuyasha turned three shades of red and Kouga
blinked in surprise. "I'm never going to live this down," Inuyasha
moaned in embarrassment as he buried his face in Kouga's chest

"What are you doing here?" Kouga asked Shippou

"I sleep here too," Shippou told him. Kouga gave Inuyasha a questioning look

"Oh yeah," Inuyasha chuckled nervously, "I let him stay here because
he had nowhere else to go…I kind of forgot to tell you." Inuyasha
smiled nervously as Kouga let out a growl of annoyance

"Its ok but next time ask me," Kouga told him

"Heh, sorry." Kouga got off him and let Inuyasha sit up on the bed.
Inuyasha was a bit glad for the interruption because Kouga probably
would have gone further. But part of him wanted it to go farther then
it did, leaving him confused again. Kouga got up off the bed and
walked towards the bedroom door, grabbing a towel and washcloth along
the way

"I'll be in the bath," Kouga said as he exited the room, 'damn the pup
for stopping my fun.'

"I'm going to play with Riana, Ryu and Kyo." Shippou jumped off the
bed and rushed out of the room, leaving behind a confused and slightly
frustrated hanyou. Inuyasha got out of bed and quickly made it before
grabbing a towel and washcloth of his own. He was intent on getting
payback for that one morning in the bath

Inuyasha opened the bathroom door, slipping in he closed it quietly
behind him. Kouga was in the middle of the spring with his back facing
Inuyasha. His breath caught in his throat as he stared at Kouga.
Kouga's hair was undone from its usual ponytail and it cascaded down
his back, the light reflected off it making it seem to glow. Inuyasha
felt his cheeks heat up as he set his stuff down next to Kouga's

Inuyasha removed his clothing, and slipped quietly into the warm
water. Inuyasha wrapped his arms around Kouga's waist, who stiffened
in surprise. Inuyasha smiled as Kouga relaxed, "where were we before
we were interrupted?" Kouga turned to face him, a look of surprise on
his face

"You mean…" Inuyasha bit his lip and nodded. Kouga nuzzled the crook
of Inuyasha's neck and let out a content sigh. He allowed his hands to
roam the other mans body as he began kissing his way down Inuyasha's
neck. His hands found Inuyasha's waist and he pushed him back against
the edge of the spring. He kissed his way doe the hanyou's collarbone
and down his chest

"Kouga…" Inuyasha moaned as Kouga started to suck, nibble and lick one
of his nipples. Kouga played with it until it turned hard and then he
kissed his way over to the other and gave it the same treatment. He
kissed his way down to Inuyasha's navel and with a smirk lifted
Inuyasha so he sat on the edge of the spring. Kouga licked small
circles around the navel and dipped his tongue in it

Inuyasha ran his hands through Kouga's silky black hair as he was
being pleasured by the wolf demon. Inuyasha moaned when Kouga licked
the tip of his very hard manhood. "You like that puppy?" Kouga asked
huskily. Kouga licked his manhood again, eliciting another moan of
pleasure from the hanyou. Kouga licked the sensitive flesh again
before he drew the other mans erection into his mouth

Inuyasha bit back another moan as Kouga began moving up and down on
his swollen appendage. He tried to move his hips up but Kouga held
them down firmly. Kouga licked and sucked on the hanyou until he
couldn't stand it anymore. "Urgh, Kouga…I'm gunna…" Inuyasha warned
before his balls tightened in orgasm

Kouga took Inuyasha's full length into his mouth and sucked hard as
Inuyasha's load exploded into Kouga's mouth and he swallowed every
drop of the creamy fluid. Kouga moved upwards a pressed his lips
against Inuyasha's in a passionate kiss. Kouga broke the kiss and
stared into Inuyasha's eyes. Kouga's shaft was painfully erect now and
practically begging for release

Inuyasha couldn't help but tense up, knowing what would probably be
coming next. "We don't have to go any further than this if you don't
want," Kouga said when he sensed his nervousness. Inuyasha nodded and
Kouga reluctantly got off, allowing himself to fall back into the
spring. Inuyasha picked up his disappointment and slid into the water
beside Kouga

"I'm just not ready for that," Inuyasha whispered as he wrapped his
arms around Kouga, "but we can still have other kinds of fun." To
prove his point Inuyasha grabbed Kouga's swollen shaft and began
stroking it. Kouga let out a low moan. This morning would be very
interesting indeed

It was just past midday when Inuyasha and Kouga emerged from the hut.
They had been at it all morning and thankfully were not interrupted.
They had found many ways of inducing pleasure without actually mating.
Inuyasha walked out of the den hand in hand with Kouga and a big smile
on his face. Kouga was just happy that Inuyasha had finally opened up
to him

"Kouga! Inuyasha!" Ayame called from the tree shade. The two of them
walked over and sat down with her. Ayame noticed a change between the
two of them right away. "What's up with you two today?" she asked. A
sly grin spread across her face, "did something happen between you
two?"

Inuyasha turned a light shade of pink, "you could say that…"

"Aw, come on don't be shy now!" Ayame said jokingly, "tell me what happened!"

"You really wanna know?" Kouga asked with a lecherous grin

"On second thought…maybe not" Ayame laughed as Inuyasha tackled Kouga
to the ground, trying to shut him up. "I won't ask for details,
but…did you mate?"

"No!" Inuyasha said quickly

"Oh darn…" Ayame sighed

"I wanted to be he said…mmph!" Kouga glared at Inuyasha, who was
covering his mouth and giving him a glare that said 'don't you dare!'

"I saw them kissing this morning!" Shippou said as he popped out of
nowhere, "I went back when they didn't come out of the hut and there
were some noises coming from that bathroom and it smelled funny."
Ayame burst into a fit of laughter as Inuyasha tried to tackle Shippou
but got a face full of dirt. Shippou stuck his tongue out at Inuyasha,
"nyah, nyah, can't catch me!"

"Why you!" Inuyasha started to chase Shippou around, "when I catch you
I'm gunna break your head!" While they were busy Ayame scooted closer
to Kouga

"Did you mate?" Ayame asked him quietly

"No, but we found some more interesting activities to do," Kouga told
her with a wink, Ayame shook her head in disbelief

"Anyway, I wanted to tell you that I'm going to one of the human
villages today," Ayame said as she watched Inuyasha miss tackling
Shippou again, "want anything?"

"I could use some of those nice smelling soaps Yuri makes," Kouga said
thoughtfully, "I know Inuyasha likes the one that smells like the
forest."

"I wonder how you know that…" Ayame muttered, "anything else?"

"Hmm, Inuyasha?" Inuyasha stopped running for a moment looked up at
Kouga, "want anything from the village? Ayame's going to pick some
stuff up." Inuyasha gave a thoughtful look when Shippou jumped on his
shoulder and whispered something in his ear. Inuyasha rolled his eyes
but nodded

"Yeah, some paint and parchment," Inuyasha said

"Paint and parchment huh? You're going to have to beg for that one,"
Ayame told him jokingly. Inuyasha walked up to her and knelt in front
of her

"Please?" Inuyasha asked, giving her his best puppy-dog eyes. Ayame
remained strait faced and Inuyasha turned to Shippou, "see I told you
it doesn't work."

"Cause you don't know how to do it!" Shippou told him and jumped on
Ayame's lap. He looked up at her with big puppy-dog eyes and asked,
"Can you please buy us paint and parchment, Ayame?"

"Aww, Shippou is so cute!" Ayame giggled and hugged Shippou, "of
course I'll buy you some paint and parchment!"

"What?" Inuyasha fell over anime style and Kouga patted him on the back

"You got showed up by a little kid," Kouga told him. Ayame and Shippou
burst into laughter at this, while Inuyasha sulked. "Don't worry,
Inuyasha, I thought it was cute." Kouga couldn't keep strait faced
anymore and burst into laughter

"You all hate me," Inuyasha pouted

"Kouga!" the group turned to see Ginta and Hakkaku running towards
them. They skidded to a halt in front of their leader. "Lord
Sesshomaru is here," Ginta said breathlessly

"He has two humans with him," Hakkaku informed him. Ginta and Hakkaku
both collapsed into one another and sighed

"My brother is here? Wonder what for…" Inuyasha, Ayame and Kouga all
stood up and started to walk in the direction from where Ginta and
Hakkaku ran

"You have a brother?" Shippou asked

"Yeah," Inuyasha informed him as they walked, "although I have no idea
why he'd come and visit us all of a sudden." Inuyasha and the others
found Sesshomaru, Rin and another girl sitting on the grass near the
river. "Sesshomaru!" Inuyasha called

"Hello little brother," Sesshomaru replied nonchalantly
