Nothing Left

Blocking another blast Tikya's sword was knocked from her hands and she was thrown back against a tree. The tree snapped and she went through it into another before that one collapsed onto her breaking her ribs. All her armor was gone and her wardrobe of black and green was in tatters. A gash lay at her left hip and right shoulder and across her back while smaller gashes and cuts marred her flesh. Her hair had turned back to blue and so had her eyes. Her bridal was gone and her helmet now lay feet from her. Pushing herself up she let her eyes bleed back to red signaling her transformation.
Forming into a ball of green light it flashed into the form of a gargantuan dog before fading to revile her true form, a towering light blue dog with green flaming wings and green eyes. A blast of red blades sent her on her side sliding away from the battle field and she could no longer hold the form.
Laying on her right side with her arm above her head, her head resting on it and her left across her stomach her hand flat on the ground she pushed herself up bleeding heavily from her wounds.
"Mother and daughter..." the deep sadistic voice started.”I will have them both now."
"In your dreams smoke breath." she said standing with her eyes glaring at the large dragon. He was a grayish blue with white hair all down his back as his mane.

Tikya lay in great pain now unable to move on her back as a result of Ryu's last attack. All around her, her blood was pooled and from her mouth blood dribbled. From her nose blood flowed as well while on her left cheek was a new mark from his claw, it was right to the bone.
He had left her to suffer with the rotting corpses of Inutaisho's and his soldiers as company. Her hair had fallen out and was all around her caked in blood making it a dark purple. Her body was covered in blood from her enemy's, Inutaisho, and herself. When the wind blew gently it brought tears to her eyes as she caught the scent of Lotus, cherry blossoms, and roses.
"Mother...I have failed you... forgive Me." she started to cry silently closing her eyes letting the wind try to sooth her body and the scent her senses. Something told her to go on, that she needed to and somehow she knew it was her mother. She told herself she had failed but her heart told her no. Turning with great pain onto her side she flopped onto her stomach and started to pull herself to a tree to help herself stand. When she reached it she dug her nails in and pulled herself up with a cry of agony as her broken ribs twisted and scraped bone and her battered and bruised organs stretched and her muscles clenched and pulled. Holding onto the tree for dear life she leaned on it slightly noting her right calf muscle was ripped. Her head was down and against the tree when she opened her eyes halfway to watch the blood dribble in a stream from her mouth before she wiped it away with her hand grabbing the tree again when her body threatened to fall. Slumped up against the tree her hearing picked up footsteps through its ringing and her heart started to beat faster. Ryu had come back to finish her off...that must be him. Turning her head towards the source of the steps her blurry vision made out a white figure but that was it before she fell against the tree and slide to the ground unconscious.

Tikya woke with a start and unsteady deep gasp. Her world was blurry for a moment but her eyes adjusted and scanned the room. It wasn't hers. Pushing herself up on her hands so she leaned back on them her looked upon her body. It was all healed, how? No a mark was on her skin that she could see, no blood no nothing. Her hair was flowing down her back with a few strands hanging over her shoulders and down her breasts over the white nightgown. Her body was no longer in agony or any pain. Could she have healed this fast or maybe she had been unconscious for that long. The air smelt of tears and pain, it was thick with it but there were also scents of flowers from the flowers by her bed, no not her bed. Smelling the air around her she noted Sesshoumaru's strong scent, it was his room. What was she doing in his room? The doors opened and Sesshoumaru walked in followed by a small impish toad demon who she knew to be Inutaisho's advisor. Jaken.
"Sesshoumaru?" she asked moving her hand to remove the covers but when he came to the bed she stopped. His face was dark and emotionless. Looking to the toad demon she looked into his sad eyes before he looked away. What was wrong? What had happened? Oh Kami what was it?

Her heart was beating faster and fear creepped into her scent when she looked back to Sesshoumaru.
"Where's your father? Is he ok? What happened?" she asked quickly her breath catching in her throat as worry set in.
"You will leave this palace by nightfall with that half breed child and his human mother, and you will never return. Come back and you will be killed." the demon lord stated with a hint of anger.
"It's her fault." his mind screamed but somewhere inside he knew it wasn't.
"Sesshoumaru..."
"You will address me properly female. I am Lord of the Western Lands, you will address me as Lord Sesshoumaru and nothing less." he cut in, his eyes narrowing dangerously.
Tikya stood now in anger, the bottom of her night gown that had slipped up half way up her legs falling to the floor as she did her hair swinging to the side slightly.
"Sesshoumaru what has gotten into you?" a slap was heard before she felt it and fell to the bed. She lay on her side her right arm out and up on her elbow while her left went to her cheek. Jaken took a step back and looked on with concern.
"I warned you already female. I am Lord Sesshoumaru to you." he snapped the corner of his eyes tinting red. Tikya looked up at him with shocked eyes then it faded to sadness. She had hoped to become closer to him after the war but why was he kicking her out and threatening her? What had caused for him to turn so cold?
"Where is Lord Inutaisho?" she asked quietly her heart already sinking. If Sesshoumaru was lord of the western lands now that could only mean...
"He's dead." he said plainly.
"Lord Inutaisho went back into battle with injuries sacrificing himself to seal Ryu in death. He died nobly and to save everyone on this land." Jaken said quietly. "He brought you back before he left..."
"Brought me back?" she asked confused. "From where?" Tears welled in her eyes as she sat back up watching them leave her there. Inutaisho was dead...The one who had been a real father to her in only a short time had perished in battle, in a battle they could have won if they had teamed up, all three of them. It would have only taken father and son with her and Ryu would have died while Inutaisho lived...
Jaken walked out the door but Sesshoumaru paused turning his head ever so slightly so she saw part of his face. His voice was quiet and sad. She caught it although it was a whisper.
"Death."
