Day4 Kagome

Benten appeared in the hut still invisible and removed the kit from his mother. She placed him with the other human women and returned to sit beside Kagome. She removed the pouch from her waist and sprinkled some powder over Kagome's body. She held her hands over Kagome and ran them down her length. Not quite touching her to allow the power from her hands to finally activate the powder. Kagome rose slightly from her sleeping bag and was suspended above it. Benten heard the other occupants stirring and put a barrier up around her and Kagome. She could hear the worry in the girls companions voices as they woke and saw her floating in the air surrounded by a barrier. They tried to reach her but Benten's barrier kept them at bay. Benten returned to her main task at hand. She continued running her hands down Kagomes body. Her power activating the powder she had sprinkled earlier. The powder started glowing and fused with Kagomes body. She could feel it enter Kagomes blood. Her miko powers tried surfacing but Benten managed to keep them docile for now. The powder fused with the miko blood and rearranged the chemistry of the girls blood. The powder also prevented her miko powers from purifying Kagome as the demon blood was
introduced into her body. Benten had to work very hard to merge Kagomes miko and demon blood. It wasn't everyday that a miko demon was born. Usually the miko or demon blood fought for control and the host would have to live by which ever won out. If they survived which rarely happened. But since the gods and goddesses had decided on Kagomes fate it was their responsibility to ensure she survived with both bloods merged insuring that she had the full benefit of both bloods. It would also ensure that she would not purify any children she conceived. Much later Benten stood and lowered Kagome back to her sleeping
bag. When Kagome rested peacefully back in her place Benten lowered the barrier and disappeared.

Shippou started to run at Kagome but Sango grabbed him. "Shippou I know you are worried about Kagome but you must let her rest. What ever has been happening must have been very ruff for her or she would have awoken already. You may sit beside her but do not bother her. She must rest." Sango watched as Shippou walked to Kagome's side and gently took her hand in his.

"Sango, Kagome smells like a full blooded youkai now. I can no longer smell any trace of her ningen blood at all." Shippou leaned over and sniffed Kagome again. "Not a trace."

Miroku stood behind Shippou and looked down at Kagome. "But she still has the characteristics of a hanyou. This does not make sense."

"I am sure everything will come out in time. All we can do now is wait for Kaede to see if she has any clue what is happening." Sango turned and followed Miroku outside. "Miroku take Kirara and see if you can find Kaede. The sooner she arrives the sooner we can get help for Kagome." She watches as Kirara transforms and Miroku climbs on her back. They take off into the sky. She
turns and enters the hut again. Shippou was still sitting beside Kagome. "Has she awoken yet?"

"Nothing" Shippou laid down beside Kagome.

"Hey Shippou why don't you go get some fresh water. Just in case Kagome wakes up and wants some." Sango hands him a bucket and watches him take off out of the hut. I wonder where Inuyasha is. He is usually here by now. He never spent the night with Kikyou before. There tryst usually only last a couple of hours at the most.

"Hey Sango" Inuyasha enters the hut. "What happened to Kagome?" He runs to Kagomes side and kneels down. "Where is Miroku and Shippou?"

Speak of the devil. Sango turns to greet Inuyasha but freezes when she spots Kikyou standing behind him. "What is she doing here?" Sango steps in front of Kikyou and blocks her from getting closer to Kagome. Inuyasha may not know or care about her attacks on Kagome but she sure did.

"I thought that Kikyou might be able to help Kagome." Inuyasha frowned at Sango when she grabbed her boomerang.

Sango grabbed her boomerang and refused to allow Kikyou to further enter the hut. "She will not touch my sister. We will wait for Kaede, until then she may wait outside."

"You dare tell me that I can't enter my own sisters hut." Kikyou went to grab her bow but Inuyasha takes her hand and stops her.

"No Kikyou, no fighting you promised me. Inuyasha takes her hand so she couldn't grab her bow.

"Listen oh dead one, if you touch Kagome in anyway or come within a stones throw of her I will make your first death look like a picnic. And when I get done with you no one will be able to resurrect you again." Sango glared at Inuyasha as he
glared at her at her words. Inuyasha turned and ushered Kikyou out of the hut. "Very smart."

A few minutes later Shippou came back with the bucket of water. He entered the hut and wrinkled his nose. "It stinks in here what happened?"

"Kikyou was here." Sango watched as Shippou ran to Kagomes side. Making sure she was still ok. "She is fine Shippou."

"Has she made any sound yet?" Shippou sat down beside her again and took her hand in his claws.

"No not yet." Sango took a cup of water and helped Kagome drink it. I hope Miroku soon returns with Kaede. Kagome should have awoke by now. She heard a noise at the door of the hut and turned to see Inuyasha enter. Alone this time.

"Ok I left Kikyou in the forest now will you tell me what happened?" Inuyasha turned to sit beside Kagome.

"We awoke this morning to find Kagome suspended in the air above her sleeping bag and a barrier surrounded her. I could almost swear that I felt another presence but I couldn't find one." Sango put the water on so she could make some tea.

"You mean she hasn't awoke yet today?" Inuyasha leaned over Kagome to move her hair away from her face.

"She hasn't moved or made any sound what so ever. I sent Miroku and Kirara to fetch Kaede. That was the fastest way possible to get her here." Sango took the cups out of Kagomes bag and set them by the fire.

Inuyasha looked up watching Kagome. "So why did she come back so early? I didn't expect her till tomorrow."

"Kagome thought it better to return before nightfall. She wanted to be sure that the well would let her back through but she was unsure that if she changed any more if that would happen. That is why she returned last evening." Sango handed Inuyasha a cup of tea and a bowl or ramen. "Shippou would you like something to eat?"

Shippou looked at her and smiled. "Yes Sango" He took the bowl and juice from her. Kagome had remembered his juice. She always thought of him. As a matter of fact his okaa-san seemed to think of everyone else but herself. She took good care of all her friends.

They finished lunch and just sat around the hut. All they could do now was wait.
