Final Battle/Kagome vs. Kikyo
Chapter 8
Kikyo’s words were menacing. What could she possible do to them? “She’s losing it” shouted Miroku. “I wish I still had my wind tunnel. We could end this right here and now.” “It’s okay Miroku step back this is my fight. Inuyasha please no matter what happens do not interfere.” “I can’t keep that promise Kagome, I love you. I won’t stand by and watch you do this.” “Please Inuyasha I must do this, I won’t lose.” “As you wish my love, as you wish.” Inuyasha did have faith in Kagome. As he approached her in the castle he felt great power coming from her. He knew she would be alright. “Inuyasha shouted to everyone else not to help Kagome. They were all upset but they knew they had to step aside. “Kikyo” Kagome shouted. “It will end here with us. I will not let you take Inuyasha away from me, and I will no longer allow you to interfere in our happiness. Prepare to die Kikyo.”
“You pitiful woman you will not harm me.” Kikyo charged at Kagome full speed. It surprised her. Kagome held up her hand and visualized a barrier. Kikyo came towards her and slammed into something. It knocked her back on the floor. She got up shaking “what they hell was that.” “I told you I am stronger than you think.” Without warning Kikyo sent a blast of energy at Kagome. Kagome was slammed into the wall she fell and landed on the ground. Blood seeped down the back of her ear; she had hit her head pretty hard. Inuyasha couldn’t believe he had to sit and watch this. He kept his hand tight on his sword. He new he promised her but he wasn’t going to let her die either. Kagome walked back towards Kikyo. “Pretty good Kikyo I didn’t see that one coming.” “Ha, ha I told you, you can not”. Kikyo didn’t have time to finish her sentence Kagome came at her and punched her with so much force it sent Kikyo slamming into the wall also. “I have never seen Kagome use her fist for anything, my god what force” said Inuyasha. “Kikyo rned ned her senses, she hit me I can’t believe she hit me.” Kikyo had a bruise cover the right side of her face, but Kagome didn’t give her enough time to react she came at her again. Kagome used her fighting skills instead of her powers. She was so angry. The others where a bit taken aback at Kagome’s strength, they had never seen her act like that before. Kikyo was on the ground bloody and badly beaten. She couldn’t believe she was being hurt like this she was beside herself. “That’s it no more miss nice Kikyo.” Kikyo called forth her soul collectors and sent them to gather around Kagome. Once again Kagome heard her thoughts and she was ready. Kagome formed some kind of fire mist into her hands and sent them at Kikyo’s soul collectors. They were destroyed in an instant. “No! Screamed Kikyo how did you do that.” “I can hear your thoughts you idiot haven’t you figured that out by now. Whatever you try and do to me I will stop it.” Ha, you won’t stop this and Kikyo stabbed Kagome. Kagome screamed a heart aching scream and fell to the ground. “Kagome” they all screamed and ran over to her. Inuyasha picked Kagome up and laid her in his lap. “Oh Kagome please be okay.” Kikyo was standing off to the side now laughing. “I told you I would kill her and now I have.” She just kept laughing and laughing. Koga was standing still in the doorway horrified. “No I told you not to kill her, I want her. How could you do this you stupid bitch? We had an agreement. “Oh please the world is better off without that stupid woman.” Kagome still hadn’t come to. “Please be okay me love please, I need you.”
Koga looked at Inuyasha hatefully. “It’s your entire fault Inuyasha. Two women fighting for your love and wanting to have you, if you hadn’t been in the picture Kagome could have been with me instead of lying dead in your arms. A lot of what Koga was saying was hurting Inuyasha. “He is right it’s my entire fault, if it weren’t for me Kagome wouldn’t be hurt. Inuyasha did something he had never done before he began to cry. “I am so sorry my darling, please forgive me?” Koga was not going to forgive him. His anger was growing. He grabbed his sword and charged at Inuyasha. Inuyasha new he was coming but made no move. I will be with you soon my love. “Oh no you won’t.” Inuyasha eyes opened up and he saw Kagome coming to. Koga was still charging at Inuyasha. As Koga came down with his sword he hit and invisible shield and was thrown back. Kagome had once again but up a barrier around her and Inuyasha. Koga was stunned he looked over to were they where and saw them all hugging Kagome. “Are you okay” “Yes I’m fine. I knew she was planning that so I tried as best to avoid her. Don’t worry it’s not bad. Help me up.” Kikyo saw her getting up, “no, no, no why can’t you just die. That’s it no one will survive.” Kikyo stood concentrating she was summoning her souls once again. The castle began to shake and crumble. “My god what is she doing” screamed Sango. Kagome looked and her and focused on Kikyo, her eyes shot open. “She’s opening up the ground to devour us” Kagome screamed. “Everyone we have to get out of here. Everyone climb onto Kiara and she leapt into the air. Koga used his wind sped to get out of the castle. Everyone raced out of the castle. They stood off to the side to see it crumble. “She’s gone finally no one could have survived that.” “No Inuyasha look.” Everyone turned to see Kikyo still surrounded by her souls. She was very weak but she was still standing. She was still summoning power but why. “Kagome what is she doing” stated Inuyasha. “My god she’s going to destroy everything, we have to stop her.” “How can we do that she’s to strong for us.” “Sango can I use Kiara?” “Yes Kagome,” “don’t worry she will be safe with me.” “Kagome what are you doing?” “I have to stop her Inuyasha, I will be alright.” Inuyasha grabbed her and kissed her. “Come back to me Kagome,” “I will.” “Kiara come” Kiara jumped over to Kagome and she mounted her. “Please me friend take me to her,” Kiara growled and led Kagome to Kikyo.
“Kikyo you must stop this you will kill everyone.” “I don’t care anymore; I hate you and everything about you. I won’t rest until you are gone.” “What about Kaede your sister? Are you willing to kill her too?” “Yes I am she betrayed me to by being your friend and not wanting me around.” Kagome couldn’t believe her she was mad. She was willing to kill her own sister. I must stop her but how. Miyoga had unwillingly tagged along again. “Kagome you must destroy her power” “How?” “Think back to when she was made she needed your soul to bring her back. Your soul fought against it and took back your life. You must now take hers. “Kiara get me closer.” Kiara did as Kagome asked, Kagome jumped off of her and landed behind Kikyo. “I’m sorry Kikyo but you must stop.” Kagome grabbed Kikyo’s hands. Kikyo opened her eyes. “Let me go you witch.” “No not this time.” Kagome held onto her and closed her eyes she concentrated all of her mind on Kikyo. Kagome started to glow a silvery white, it was a most beautiful light. Kikyo was encased in the light. “No stop what are you doing?” Kagome would not let go she could not break the hold she had on Kikyo. Everyone looked on in awe at Kagome. She was magnificent. They couldn’t believe she had this much power. Beneath there feet the ground opened up. All the dead souls Kikyo had gathered where reaching out for her, pulling her into hell with them. Kagome opened her eyes and looked at Kikyo. “Go to hell where you belong you bitch.” Kagome pushed Kikyo down. The soul collectors pulled Kikyo into the fiery depths of hell with them. Kikyo screamed “No this is not right I need to be with him, no!” Kikyo’s words drowned in the night air she was gone. Everyone just stood there and looked. There where to stunned to move or say a word. Koga though that this was the perfect time to get Kagome. He sped over to her. Kagome felt him coming. She held up her hand and glowed once more. A flash of light shot out from her hand and hit Koga he fell hard to the ground. Koga tried to stand but couldn’t. “What did you do to me Kagome?” She looked into his eyes, “I have taken your wind speed power” she smirked. “You will not have that ability anymore.” “How could you?” “I told you I am ending this now go before I let him kill you.” Inuyasha and the others had finally gained there composer and went to Kagome. They had heard what she said and did to Koga. Inuyasha had drawn his sword; he held it at Koga’s throat. “She has given you this chance you better take it and run.” Koga looked up at her and stood “I will go for now but I will be back.” Ka loo looked at him her eyes flashed a silvery white color, “like hell you will” she spat. Koga was scared Kagome had come into a power unknown to them all. He took her warning and ran off. Kagome smiled at his retreating form and collapsed. Inuyasha caught her in his arms. “Oh my darling are you okay, I’ve never seen anything like that you scared me. What is this power Miyoga? “She must have gotten stronger after taken back Kikyo’s soul.” “How are you feeling Kagome” said Shippo. “I’m fine just a little tired, can we go home?” Everyone smiled at her and nodded.
Inuyasha picked her up in his arms and laid her on Kiara. As they started to go home they heard a rumbling in the ground. “Now what” shouted Miroku? Kagome was smiling she knew what was happing. A white mist was coming from the ground it rose into the air everyone looked on. It took on a form it was Kikyo. She looked at everyone and smiled. “Thank you Kagome, without your immense power my true spirit would have been lost forever. That witch brought back a hateful side to me. My hate and jealousy had been corrupted by so many people. You have freed me and now I can take my place in the heavens.” “She looked over to Inuyasha, “I am sorry Inuyasha please forgive.” He smiled at her and said “always”. “Goodbye everyone and tell my sister I’m free and I love her.” Everyone watched as Kikyo floated to the sky. Kagome smiled, “goodbye Kikyo may you rest in peace.”
Inuyasha looked back to Kagome. “Thank you Kagome for setting her free.” She smiled and nodded. “Now let’s go home we still have a wedding to finish and a honeymoon to go on. Inuyasha blushed at that thought. It was over and now it was time for there new life to begin.
