Chapter Nine.

The next morning, Kagome woke up wondering if it was a dream that she and Inuyasha really made love. She confirmed it when she glanced to her side to see Inuyasha sleeping by her side with no clothes on and she, too, was naked underneath the blankets. She smiled and cuddled closer to him, it was nice to have him by her side.

Inuyasha moaned in his sleep. “Kagome, be my mate. I love you now and forever.”

“Kagome, you got visitors!” yelled her mother.

Kagome quickly bolted out of bed. "Give me a minute mom!" she said as she quickly got dressed.

Inuyasha was not being very helpful, as he tried to get her to come back to bed and he, for, some really odd reason, was wanting to mate with her again.

“Inuyasha, do I have to say the word to you? There are people downstairs wanting to see me,” Kagome said.

“Who cares, Kagome, I want you,” Inuyasha growled.

Kagome rolled her eyes, "Later when I get rid of them," she whispered.

“Also, if you have Inuyasha up there, bring him down too!” yelled her mother.

Kagome covered her mouth as she screamed. She turned to Inuyasha and said, “Get dressed, Inuyasha, looks like you too are summoned down to meet the visitors,”

Inuyasha rolled his eyes as he pulled on his clothes. Thankfully, his clothes were baggy enough to hide the erection he had. “I wonder who it is,”

Just as they hit the top of the stairs, the scent was enough to where Inuyasha knew who it was. Inuyasha whispered, ‘Sesshoumaru, here?’

When Inuyasha spotted him, he couldn't resist. "Alright Sesshoumaru, what happened to your sense of style? You look like a petty raider in that leather."

Sesshoumaru laughed. "Times have change little brother, so has fashion."

Kagome’s mother looked at the two men. “You know him, Sess?”

“Yes, I do. Inuyasha is my younger brother,” Sesshoumaru said, as he looked at her and then glanced over to Kagome whose hand reached for Inuyasha’s. “And I see I now have a sister-in-law as well to add to my family.”

“Yes, I did what I should have done long time ago. I asked Kagome to be my mate, the mother of my children and she said yes,” said Inuyasha.

"Well you'll have to be patient, in the feudal era she's of age, but in these times she's not. So you two can't marry just yet." Sesshoumaru said.

“I think you forgot that my age is not fifteen anymore, Sesshoumaru. I’m twenty years old and very much of age to marry,” Kagome said.

The tall demon bowed and spoke, “Many pardons, Kagome, I do recall your recent birthday celebration,”

“You are forgiven, Sesshoumaru. It happens to the best of us,” smiled Kagome, as she returned his bow.

Kagome’s mother was thrilled. “So where will we be having this wedding? Will it be the feudal era or here?”

Inuyasha looked at them and asked, “How about both?”

Sesshoumaru smiled. "Don't expect my younger self to attend in the feudal era."

“I know, but I’ll send you an invite anyways, after all you are my brother and you should be aware of your future sister in law, even if you were a son of a bitch back then,” said Inuyasha.

"Ahh so you acknowledge my better breeding little brother."

“Well, you treated me like dirt or that I was not even worth your time,” Inuyasha snapped, his hand instinctively reached for Tessaiga.

“Inuyasha sit!” snapped Kagome.

“AH!” cried out Inuyasha, as he was ‘magically’ thrown down to the floor.

“Well, I had to make you grow up to be a very strong man, Inuyasha. I didn’t want you to be dependant on me to save your butt each time,” Sesshoumaru said.

"Well could you save me from the ‘s’ word? I haven't figured a way around it yet."

“Oh please, I did that to keep you from killing your brother who is now starting to treat you like an equal member of the family,” said Kagome.

“I never will be an equal, I’m his better!” snapped Inuyasha.

Sesshoumaru just laughed. "I'll see you at the wedding." As he walked away, he glanced behind him. “Kagome, you will have your hands full with him,”

“I know, he better behave or he’ll be ‘sit’ed again,” Inuyasha was flung to the ground once again. “Oh sorry about that, Inuyasha,”

Inuyasha just growled, he couldn't win.
