Prompt Summary: For once, Jakotsu is thankful to not be a woman.
Within five minutes of lunch being over, the two were already getting back to work on the fence posts. Above them, the afternoon sun beat down on them causing Jakotsu to feel as though he was wilting away and thankful he wasn't currently wearing a dress with a heavy petticoat underneath. He doubted he would even be able to move in this heat if he had been.
It was one of the only reasons why he had ever been happy to not have been born a woman; they tended to have more body fat than men and would be even hotter. The only other reason was because he knew he would never become his mother; mistress to a man who would abandon him when he became pregnant with his child.
He knew there was always a chance any man he decided to be with wouldn't stick around forever, but at least there would be no unwanted children around for misplaced anger to be taken out on. Shaking his head to clear such useless thoughts, Jakotsu glanced up to find himself seeing his second distracting view in nearly as many days; Bankotsu working with his shirt off, tanned skin glistening with sweat.
