Night Terrors

Just a little farther, you cant stop now your too close to stop' Kagome thought as she ran with all of her strength and will. The light, she almoalmost there, she was so close. 50 feet, 20 feet, 10 feet. It seemed she was going to make it this time. The closer she got the brighter the light became. Her heart flutterd as she saw whom was in the light.
' Inu yasha!' she thought happily as her thoughts became words as she screamed out his name. He turned around and faced her, and what she saw was enough to make her stop running and forget why she was even trying to get to the light in the first place. His eyes his beautiful golden eyes...............were as black as the shadows around her. They held no light, just darkness and despair. The tears filled in her eyes as she walked slowly tword the pillar of light that surounded him.
" Inu yasha" she whispered as he looked at her with unseeing eyes. She extended her hand, she had to reach out to him, to be with him.
Kagome screamed in agonizing pain as her hand entered the pillar of light. It burned her, she quickly pulled her hand away and as she looked at it, it was coverd in red welts.
" No" she whispered as the shadows began to close in on her. The tears flowed freely from her eyes as they stained her pale white face. The arms wrapped around her as they're claws dug into her skin. This time the light did not go away. Instead it stayed where it was, as Inu yasha's black eyes seemed to look right through her, as if he didnt see her bloody figure as the beasts began to slash at her flesh.
" NOOOOOOOOOO!" she screamed as she sat up quickly and looked around. It was light, but somthing held her from behind. Her eyes blured with tears as she thrashed her entire body about. No, was the only thing she could say, she screamed over and over as she punched and hit the one who held her. With her screaming and violent thrashing she couldnt here the words of the one who held her. A clawed hand coverd her mouth whilotheother remained wrapped around her waist to keep her still. Then the one behind her began to whisper in her ear.
" Kagome your safe, its ok, stop screaming your alright. Shhhh dont scream its me" Inu yasha whispered to her as he held her firmly in his lap. She stoped thrashing and slowly nodded as he realised his grip on her. She slowly turned around to face him but what she saw filled her with sheer terror, she was to terrifeid to scream.
" Kagome whats wrong?" Inu yasha asked as he saw the fright reflected in her eyes. Kagomes face was whiter then a ghost, she couldnt find any words as she stared into the black eyes that had haunted her dreams. Slowly and shakingly she shook her head. Inu yasha slowly extended his arm to try to compfort him but before he even touched her she screamed and attacked him with her preistess powers, sending him flying into a tree and knocking the wind out of him. Kagome grasped her head in her hands and curled into the tightest smallest form she could. She lay curled in a tight ball on the ground shaking and crying, her spiritual energy still glowing around her. Inu yasha found his feet again but was not stupid enough to try to reach out to her.
"K-Kagome?" He said as he looked at her pathetic shivering form lying on the ground.
She looked at him with expecting to see those cold black heartless eyes, but instead she saw his golden warm concerned gaze. Had she imagened those horrid eyes? But they were so real. She slowly uncurled her body and sat up.
" I-Inu yasha?" She whisperd as he stared at her unsure if it was wise to approach her.
Inu yasha took a couple of hesitent steps tword her. When he was in arms reach, she threw herself into his arms and cried into his kimono. he wrapped his arms around her and whispherd in her ear.
" Kagome your ok, Im here and I wont let anything like that happen to you ever again"
These words that should have compforted her only made her cry harder.
" Im s-so sorry Inu yasha.........I-I shouldnt have, I-Im s-so sorry, please dont hate me, please......." She sobbed.
" Shhhh....... Kagome its ok, I dont hate you, I could never hate you. Your the most important thing in my life.......your my best friend, please dont cry" he said in a low voice as he held her tightly against his chest.
Suddenly a new voice filled the air.
" You saw them didnt you? The eyes" Shioris voice rang in Kagomes ears. Inu yasha looked at them confussed.
" Eyes?" he questioned at no one particular.
" How do you know what I saw?" Kagome said as she stood to face Shiori.
" Because ............Ive seen them too, only i saw them on my own face" She said as she tried to keep her voice from breaking.
" Those eyes you saw were a premonition" Shiori continued.
" What kind of premontion what does it mean?" Inu yasha asked furiosly.
" The one you saw will be the last one you will ever see...........and you will die in one week from now.........Im so sorry" Shiori said as the tears flowed from her eyes.
Inu yasha shook his head in disbelief.
"Y-your lying, I dont believe you.........YOUR LYING!" Inu yasha yelled as he turned quickly to Kagome.
"Who..............who did you see?" He said as his voice broke from the tears in his eyes. Kagome looked away from him. He grasped her shoulders firmly and made her look at him.
" WHO DID YOU SEE?!" he yelled.
Kagome looked straight into his golden eyes and silently mouthed the words ' You'.
