Surprise! Kagome’s a What?



AN: Ok, so I’m really really sorry about taking so long to update. I had a little bit of writers block, a lot of computer issues, and absolutely no time since I was juggling a full time work and going to college full time. But hey, I’m back. So I hope you enjoy this one.



AN2: Ok, so I looked back through all the reviews (which were wonderful by the way, love the support) and noticed that I never put in the description of the new Kagome I have in my notes. So now it is… Just know that I’m partially color blind so if I have details incorrect from the anime series that is probably why.

***With Sesshomaru’s Pack (Sesshomaru’s POV)***



Sesshomaru woke as the sun began to rise first looking for the Miko turned inu demoness. Upon noticing that she was not yet awake he took a moment to really look at her. She still had the same beautiful ebony hair but it now seemed to be longer and silkier than before. Her ivory skin was smoother and unblemished. Over all she no longer looked caught between the stages of childhood and womanhood as her face had lost the last of its baby fat making her delicate features give her a new elegance only to be enhanced by the light pink stripes that adorned her cheeks and the small pink orb that graced her forehead. The other changes were more subtle, a bit of filling out of her curves, the point of her dainty ears, and the claws…



Sesshomaru was suddenly pulled from his thoughts as he noticed that her newly formed claws were starting to glow with the pink energy that he had come to associate with her purifying arrows.



~That can’t be good.~



*Silence, this Sesshomaru fears nothing. No lowly human woman could worry the great and powerful Lord Sesshomaru!*



~A bit conceded are we? Besides she is not some lowly human, nor has she ever been lowly. You know just as I do that she has always had great power and as the Shikon Miko she can claim a rank equal to our own.~ Sesshomaru’s beast replied and paused before finishing his original thought. ~Anyways it is not her that I’m worried about but what is making her do that…~



*…True…* That made Sesshomaru think. He did not sense any immediate danger. None the less he rose to make a sweep of the perimeter just to be sure that their camp was still secure.



Sesshomaru was just about to head back into the camp when he heard a crashing in the bushes coming from the direction of the camp. Next he heard his name as his ward came running straight at him. “Lord Sesshomaru! Lord Sesshomaru! You need to come! The pretty lady and Lord Jaken are fighting!”



“Hn… Come Rin.” Sesshomaru ordered as he headed for the campsite. When he arrived he had to struggle not to chuckle at the site before him. There was his future mate *what no. This Sesshomaru will not mate his brother’s wench!*



~Yes we will. Look at her! She is not even officially pack yet and already she is protecting our pup.~



*We have not determined what the woman is doing, other than attacking our servant.*



~You know as well as I do that the ugly little toad is mean to the pup.~



This Sesshomaru could not deny. He had on occasion caught the toad being purposefully mean to the girl out of spite. But that did not immediately mean that this was the case now. All he knew was that the Miko currently had his retainer dangling upside down by one food and by the coloring in his face he had been this way for a while.



“Miko! You will explain why you are mistreating my loyal servant so!” Sesshomaru bellowed.



That was all it took for her to drop Jaken on his already throbbing head. “Your loyal servant as you so call him was trying to hit Rin with a stick!” She had gone from shock and straight back into furry in under two seconds.



Sesshomaru was angry. Firstly because this woman dared to speak to him in such a way and secondly because she was right. Jaken would be dealt with when he again became conscious. The Miko would face his wrath now.



“Wench, you will watch how you speak to this Sesshomaru.”



***Kagome’s POV***



*How dare he! How dare he speak to me as if I’m just another one of his lowly servants!*



~Watch yourself… He may be an arrogant asshole but that doesn’t mean we want to start a fight when it is not necessary.~



*Sense when are you the voice of reason? I thought you were the one that wanted to flay his hot ass yesterday.*



~HA! You admitted it! You think he is hot too.~



*What! NO!*



Suddenly Kagome was jarred out of her thoughts by the overwhelming feeling that something bad was about to happen. “Where is Rin?” She asked. She needed to know where the girl was. If there was going to be danger she had to know Rin was safe.



“This Sesshomaru left the girl in the forest so she would not be harmed by your antics.”



Kagome didn’t know why but in the next second she was shooting off in the direction that Sesshomaru had just come from. *Please new nose, work.* It was a new sensation but she was able to easily pick up on the girls sent. Soon she found Rin cowering beneath a large human man who had her pinned in a rather obvious position.



Kagome saw red… It doesn’t take much more explaining. The scene that Sesshomaru arrived to was one to rival his own doings in such matters. There was really only one thing that he could say. “Inventive.” As he slowly picked up his ward as Kagome headed off to find the nearest body of water.

*(WARNING GREWSOME)*



What remained of the man who had attacked poor Rin was strewn about the forest some bits on the ground some in the trees, but most noticeably was the placement of his head. The man’s head was speared up through the neck with a small branch which was stuck into the ground near a pathway. Propped against the branch was a plank that read “Rapists beware! Man eating she-beast!” written in the man’s blood.

AN: Ok so this was a shorter one, but hey it’s like 2 am and I just want to get something out to ya. I’ll try to add more in the next couple of days. G’night.
