It wasn’t untill the sun started coming up that Anaminé woke up in the hospital her rabbit in her arms. She looked over at Sesshomaru who was asleep in the chair next to her bed with a blanket draped over him. Suikotsu walked in and smiled walking over.

“Your up, how are you feeling?” He whispered.

“Like I got hit by a truck” Anaminé whispered back.

“Well you surgery went fine you’ll be on crutches for a while and will need physical therapy but they doctors think you will make a full recovery.” Suikotsu said

“How long has Sesshomaru been here?” Anaminé asked

“since a few minutes after I called him he left for a few minutes to go get your rabbit so you would have it after you where out of surgery he said you cant sleep with out it.” Suikotsu said

“Oh you staying” Anaminé asked

“No I just got off my shift I wanted to come cheek on you befor I went home. Ill tell Bankotsu that you wont be in school today I’m sure you’ll have a lot of visitors today after school so get your rest” Suikotsu said with a smiled and then brushed some hair out of her face and left.

Anaminé laided down and went back to sleep. Everything was quite untill around noon when two females yelling came from Anaminé room. Sesshomaru was on his way back to her room from getting her some soda when he heard it he ran to the room to see what was going on.

“Let me go I can do it myself!” Anaminé yelled at the woman.

“No you can’t miss get back in bed and let me get you some crutches” the nurse said

“No I can walk on my own” Anaminé yelled looking at the floor shutting her eyes tight so tears wouldn’t fall.

Sesshomaru walked over and took her shoulder in her hand and shook her a little and growled.

“Anaminé stop it! You cant walk with out crutches stop acting like you can do it when you know you cant you not going to walk with out crutches for a while. Stop you don’t have anyone here that you have to prove yourself to so just stop it already.” Sesshomaru growled

Anaminé looked up in his eyes with tears in her eyes. He was wrong she did have someone she had to prove herself to she had to prove to Sesshomaru that she wasn’t to weak for him, and plus she had to get her dignity back after it was ripped from her last night. The last thing that she had that was hers and made her sand out from a lot of other demonesses was that she was still pure no other demon or man had touched her and last night that changed.

Sesshomaru picked her up as she cried and laid her back in bed and set her drink on the table.

“I’m going to go get you cloths don’t do anything stupid while I’m gone” Sesshomaru said

A few minutes after Sesshomaru had left Jakotsu peeked in the door and rushed over to her in her bed taking her in his arms.

“Oh my poor baby girl” Jakotsu said

“I’m okay Jakotsu really the pain killers are taking care of the pain.” Anaminé said hugging her friend

“I would have been here earlier but Suikotsu said you needed your rest. Boy was Bankotsu pissed when Suikotsu told us this morning, he wanted to go after him but then Suikotsu said that it’s a possibility that the guy is working for the south and the last thing we need is either the south after us or the dog demons after us for interfering” Jakotsu said

“Yeah I’m sure all the guys are going to want to have their chance with him.” Anaminé said

“When do you get out?” Jakotsu asked

“My doctor is going to be here in a little bit to cheek on the stitches and everything and then I should be able to go home Sesshomaru went to go get me some cloths.” Anaminé said

“Sesshomaru was here?” Jakotsu said

“Yeah he was sleeping in the chair when I woke up this morning, Suikotsu said that he had gotten here a few minutes after he called him he only left for a few minutes while I was in surgery to go get my rabbit” Anaminé said

“That doesn’t sound like the stone cold Sesshomaru we know” Jakotsu said

“With some people you just have to look deeper to see the goodness in them Jakotsu I think Sesshomaru is cold in order to protect himself from getting hurt.” Anaminé said looking at her rabbit in her lap.

“it was Sesshomaru who gave this to me it was the first time I saw him, I remember thinking how scary but how beautiful he was I would get scared and I would hold this rabbit and I would smell his scent on the rabbit and it would calm me it always smelled of a new morning after a rain storm” Anaminé said softly

“You love him so much lady bug you shouldn’t have to deal with a broken heart” Jakotsu said

“Its not really a broken heart Jakotsu its more a disappointed one, I know his reasonability’s as his father’s heir and no demon would want me with me being as weak as I am, and if what Takashi said is true if the south has a problem with me staying with him, then I can only assume the treaty is giving the lords daughter to Sesshomaru as a mate so that right there will guarantee that me and Sesshomaru will never be. It’s like the old saying if you love something enough let it go and if it’s meant to be yours it will come back to you. So I have to let Sesshomaru go and just stand by and watch and hope that by some miracle that he will one day come back to me and I will be waiting” Anaminé said as a tear slid down her cheek

“Anaminé you truly have a kind and gentle heart most demons would consider that a weakness but that heart of you gives you a strength that none of them will ever be able to posses because when you love someone or something you are willing to give everything for it and that cant be taken away.” Jakotsu said using a finger to lift Anaminé’s chin so she looked at him.

Anaminé gave a weak smile “thanks Jakotsu, you should probably get back to the store, you don’t want your employees to burn it down while your gone.” Anaminé gave a small chuckle.

“Your right lady bug, you get your rest and keep your chin held high okay” Jakotsu said standing up

Anaminé nodded.

As Jakotsu walked to the door Sesshomaru walked into the room with her duffel bag he looked and Jakotsu and then back to Anaminé. Jakotsu looked to Anaminé

“Remember what I said lady bug” Jakotsu said as he left.

Sesshomaru waited untill Jakotsu left to speak.

“I ran into the doctor out in the hall way he said he will be in a minute.” Sesshomaru said

“Okay” Anaminé said looking at Sesshomaru

Sesshomaru sat down in the chair next to her. “I didn’t know what you would be able to wear with your knee brace so I brought a little bit of everything” Sesshomaru said

“Thank you.” Anaminé said

“My father wants us to come by on our way home he has a few things he wants to ask you” Sesshomaru said

“Is he angry with me?” Anaminé asked looking down at her lap

“I don’t know” Sesshomaru said

Just then the doctor came in and took her knee brace off and a bandage that was wrapped around her knee he cheeked he stitches.

“Well everything seems to be okay, I’m surprised it hasn’t healed any with you being a demon.” The doctor said

“It’s complicated to explain” Sesshoamru said

“I see well Miss Sano I’m going to prescribe you some pain killers and your first physical therapy session will be in two days nothing to strenuous we don’t want to pop your stitches and you will be on the crutches for 3 weeks and have to wear the knee brace for about 4 weeks after that.” The doctor said

“How long do you think it will be untill I can start practicing my Kenjutsu again? My team needs me I’m the co captain” Anaminé said

“the earliest would be when you get off your crutches but you have to talk to your physical therapist” The doctor said

Anaminé nodded and the doctor left after the discharge papers where signed. Sesshomaru left the room so she could get dressed. He sat out in the hallway as he thought about the conversation he over heard her and Jakotsu having.

“She has that rabbit because it reminded her of him. She felt comforted by his scent, and she was willing to wait forever for him she loved him even though he has scared her befor. She thinks she isn’t good enough for me.” Sesshomaru thought

He clutched his fist and cursed himself.

“Why dose my beast yurn for such a weak girl dose he know her true strength or is it her kind and gentle heart that it yurns for, or her capability to see peoples true selves.” He thought.

Befor this was done this girl was going to drive him mad. After a few moments he knocked on the door.

“Come in” Anaminé called

Sesshomaru walked in and saw she had slipped on a pair of shorts and a t-shirt and she was slipping on some flip flops as she sat on her bed. A Nurse came in with a pair of crutches.

“Here you are Miss you are free to go” the nurse said with a smile

“Thank you” Anaminé said taking the crutches and used them to stand up.

The nurse left and Sesshomaru picked up her bag as they headed for his car.

“Sesshomaru I still want to be there for the nationals I know I cant fight but I still want to support my team.” Anaminé said

“We will see” Sesshomaru said putting her bag in the car.

Anaminé got into the car and sighed.

“At lest I wont be on crutches for the gathering” Anaminé said

Sesshomaru nodded as he started the car and headed to his fathers home. The drive was quite. Inu Taisho was there waiting for them and came over to the car to help Anaminé out of the car.

“Thank you Mr. Tiasho” She said taking her crutches and used them to follow him into the house. Once she walked in Izayoi rushed over and began to look her over like a worried mother and then hugged her.

“Oh Anaminé I’m so sorry, you poor girl come sit down” Izayoi said ushering her to a large cushiony arm chair.

She sat down with a sigh it was so comfortable and so much better than that hospital bed.

Inu Taisho sat down with his wife and Sesshomaru.

“Anaminé I need to ask you some very serious questions.” Inu Taisho said

“About Takashi right?” Anaminé said looking at Inu Taisho

He nodded “Tell me what he said”

“He said that I living with Sesshomaru was getting in the way of the treaty and the south wasn’t going to have any of that and thought that if the defiled me that Sesshomaru wouldn’t have any interest in me. He said they had paid him to rape me” Anaminé said


Inu Taisho nodded and thought for a second “is there any physical evidence that we could pin Takashi and the south together”

“Not that I know of Mr. Taisho its only words and that not enough to do anything.” Anaminé said

“Rest assure Anaminé I will find away to have them punished of this even if it means sacrificing the treaty but untill I have physical evidence that they had something to do that my hands are tied.” Inu Tiasho said

“I understand Mr. Taisho” Anaminé said and yawned some

“Are you tired sweet heart” Izayoi asked

“A little I still have pain killers in my system.” Anaminé said

“We should probably go home then are you finished father.” Sesshomaru asked

Inu Taisho nodded “take care of your self Anaminé I hope to see you soon.” Inu Taisho said

Anaminé smiled some and nodded and stood up and followed Sesshomaru out of the door.
