Dogs

Inuyasha was roughly awakened by his brother at 5 am. They had just arrived at the hotel at midnight and he was still tired.

“What the hell are you waking me up for at this hour?”

Sesshoumaru had the TV off and still looked the same as he had the night before.

“Your traffic made us arrive here in two hours. We are to be at the school for the children at 7:15 am according to these digital clocks you explained to me. Therefore you must drive me now to the school. We will not make the little ones wait for us. You will get up now.”

Inuyasha looked at Sesshoumaru who was still wearing the suit and tie.

“They are going to be afraid of you in that get up. You need to wear something less like you if we are to go to an amusement park.”

Sesshoumaru sighed.

“Why did you not tell me this beforehand? This is unacceptable Inuyasha.”

Inuyasha moaned. His brother had to be an asshole still and this early in the morning was not acceptable to him to have to deal with a full demon with an attitude.

“Just remove the tie or at least leave your jacket in the car when we arrive. You need to relax a bit.”

Sesshoumaru had a pile of items from the bathroom on the bed.

“Are these small things for us to use? How come they are so small? They will not last you a week Inuyasha. We must go to your store for more since you did not pack properly before we left.”

Inuyasha looked at the neatly folded bath towels, the coffee pot, the coffee, condiments, and the small soaps that were left for them by the hotel staff.

“Sesshoumaru we don’t take the bathroom towels and they replace all of these things.”

Sesshoumaru sighed and shook his head.

“Yes I see this, still how am I to brew coffee without this machine? And, if I need to bath in the river how am I to dry myself? They must come with us.”

Inuyasha moaned as he held his head in frustration.

“Sesshoumaru you can keep the little soaps ok and take one towel. But, you have to bring it back. They will bring us new soaps and I have no where in the car I can plug in your coffee machine. We will go to the store and buy one for you as well as hook up some electricity for you so you may have one of these as well as some of these other things you are so fascinated with.”

Inuyasha stated stealing one of the soaps and towels from the bed as Sesshoumaru grasped his hand.

“Do not take my small soaps.”

Inuyasha snatched his hand away with the soap in hand although Sesshoumaru growled at him still holding his wrist as Inuyasha tried to break free.

“I told you they will bring us more! Damn it let go!”

Sesshoumaru pulled Inuyasha until he was face to face with him.

“You had better not be lying to me little brother or you will pay.”

Inuyasha was then let go and he shook his head as he went to the bathroom grumbling the whole way about how much of a child the dangerous demon was.

“Inuyasha we do not have time for you to dally. It is already five after and you are wasting my time. Get out of the bathroom. You can wash in the blue human river downstairs with me later. We must leave.”

Sesshoumaru stated firmly.

“You can’t be serious!”

Inuyasha stated grumbling as he came out of the bathroom realizing that Sesshoumaru had also stolen the toilet tissue and the Kleenex box.

“What are these for?”

Sesshoumaru stated as he lifted the toilet tissue and started unrolling it.

“You will make a mess! Stop it!”

Inuyasha grabbed the tissue from Sesshoumaru and then knew why there was a big wad of toilet paper tissues carefully folded on the floor of the bathroom.

“It is for wiping your………never mind. I will tell you later since you don't know. We have to leave remember or your Highness won’t get there in time.”

Sesshoumaru frowned and got up from the bed.

“Yes, we must leave.”

Inuyasha watched Sesshoumaru open the door and not even bother to leave it open long enough for him to get out as it slammed in his face.

“Jerk, asshole, I can’t believe I have to put up with this shit.”

Sesshoumaru was already downstairs when Inuyasha came down with his hair still a mess.

“You have no idea on how to care for yourself Inuyasha. Comb your hair in the car before we arrive. I will not have you embarrass me in front of the little ones. You will watch your tongue or I will cut it from your mouth. They do not need to hear your obscenities.”

Inuyasha felt insulted, angry, and wasn’t sure if he wanted to live after this situation. Perhaps death might not be bad after having to deal with this shit and Kagome’s mood swings. Pregnancy made her a real pain in the ass. Kagome’s weird cravings and blowing up only to cry saying he destroyed her whole world was driving him insane let alone his older brother’s weird behavior lately. It was like hell on earth.

“Don’t worry, the less I have to talk to you the better.”

Sesshoumaru looked at Inuyasha shaking his head pushing the boy outside to where their car was located.

“We could have taken the elevator.”

Inuyasha stated looking at the many stairs they had to climb to get to the car.

“No, we need to walk. You need exercise and so do I. Are you saying you can’t keep up with me little brother?”

Sesshoumaru stated with a grin.

“No one can keep up with you if you are walking your normal pace.”

Inuyasha stated firmly.

“I see so we shall walk human speed since you cannot handle keeping up with me.”

Sesshoumaru teased and Inuyasha raced at this point ahead of him. Sesshoumaru was of course right by him shoving him back a few times as they raced up the stairs.

“That was interesting Inuyasha. Have you become feeble in your old age? I remember when you almost could keep up with me.”

Inuyasha stopped and looked at Sesshoumaru like he was the biggest asshole on the face of the earth. In fact he was.

“You jerk. You are the one that can’t decide from one moment to the next if you want to be a human or a demon. If you want to play human you have to play by my rules not yours.”

Sesshoumaru looked at Inuyasha and smiled patting his brother on the head.

“You are learning little brother. I am proud of you. Hold still. I will comb your hair. We have time now to get to the vehicle. Consider this an award for your behavior.”

Inuyasha turned bright red as he held his hand to his forehead while Sesshoumaru’s claws dug into his shoulder to keep him from running as the other one combed through his hair.

“This is completely humiliating. Everyone is going to think I am gay now.”

Sesshoumaru smiled after he was done.

“Nonsense, we look like brothers. I am just better looking than you are because you are a half demon. I realize this is not your fault so I forgive you.”

Inuyasha growled as Sesshoumaru walked away.

“Inuyasha give me your keys. I shall drive. You are offensive when you drive and I do not need a license. I am Lord of the Western Lands and of this world. I rule not you.”

Sesshoumaru had to chase Inuyasha around the parking lot until he pinned him to the ground and stole the keys from him.

“You are insane! You can’t drive you don’t know how!”

Inuyasha stated angrily.

“I watched you so yes I do know how and you do not follow the laws. The speed said 65 not 85 Inuyasha. You will get yourself caged in the human prison and I have no time to kill people to save you. We shall follow these human rules. They are for your safety.”

Sesshoumaru stated walking away then looking at Inuyasha who was still on the ground.

“Get up or you will be left.”

Inuyasha rushed up and was shaking in fear at the thought of Sesshoumaru driving.

“I will be careful with the key and not break it. You underestimate my strength, but you do not realize I was very gentle with my Rin. You do not think I can be gentle.”

Sesshoumaru stated frowning that Inuyasha would think he would break the key in the rental car.

“You have to start the car so you can’t be too gentle Sesshoumaru.”

Inuyasha stated as Sesshoumaru waited sitting in the chair.

“You do not have your safety belt you insist we wear on so I cannot move yet. Our starting is your fault because you are still wasting time.”

Sesshoumaru looked straight ahead as Inuyasha grumbled putting on his seat belt. Then Sesshoumaru started the car and put it into reverse causing the car to squeak since he had not took off the emergency break yet.

“Look you have to put this down first.”

Inuyasha stated angrily as he released the emergency break.

“You are going to kill us.”

Sesshoumaru looked at Inuyasha.

“Thank you, I will not forget this next time. Now we can move.”

Inuyasha wanted to scream or throw something. Why was it Sesshoumaru was nice one minute only to be a complete asshole the next?

“You are welcome. Can we go now? I am going to take a nap since if I am going to die today from your driving then I want to be out cold.”

Sesshoumaru frowned looking for the exit.

“Where are the arrows taking us little brother? I am going up not down. I wish to go down. “

Inuyasha groaned.

“Follow those other arrows Sesshoumaru. Not these ones. This is where you go when you can’t find a place to park in these other areas.”

Sesshoumaru frowned.

“Someone will take my spot? Unacceptable, we will park in that spot when we return. It is mine since I have claimed I like that one.”

Inuyasha started laughing. He didn’t know what else to do at this point.

“You don’t understand humans at all. I will explain as we go. By the way what did you learn off of television last night since you stayed up keeping me awake for most of the night with all your channel surfing.”

Sesshoumaru smiled. He had enjoyed the television.

“I have learned human politics are messy and unorganized. Humans are still violent as they were in our time and that these drawings called cartoons are amusing.”

Inuyasha’s mouth fell open.

“You did not watch Adult Swim or Cartoon Network did you?”

Sesshoumaru nodded with a smile.

“Yes I did. It was most educational. I did not know I was so well known and that you made a name for yourself here in the modern world. However, your cartoon is not correct. You did not study our history nor portray me like I should have been portrayed. I am much more handsome and I am not that cruel. Still, thank you for putting my Rin in your cartoon. That was very noble of you.”

Inuyasha frowned. This was not like Sesshoumaru at all.

“What gives? You are not pissed off?”

Sesshoumaru looked at the road.

“I am driving Inuyasha on your roads following your map GPS machine. I have no time to answer your many questions. We shall discuss this another time. I should be the name of the show, not you. I forgive you. You need to feel self important since you are only a half demon. I have not been kind to you and you cannot help what you are. You live in my shadow so I shall oblige you this one thing.”

Inuyasha sighed and fell asleep. He was tired since Sesshoumaru was wearing him out. His brain was hurting from all this thinking and answering questions. He had not answered this many questions since Shippo and the fact was Sesshoumaru was the one he should be asking things of not the other way around. Wasn’t a big brother supposed to teach you things and torment you?

“We are going to a toll booth. Do you have the change I require to pass?”

Sesshoumaru stated waking Inuyasha up who was in shock they survived this long.

“Yeah it is in that change holder.”

Inuyasha pointed to it.

“Gather the amount we need and we shall continue on. You have slept enough it is time to speak of what I need of you for this adventure.”

Sesshoumaru stated as Inuyasha yawned then counted out fifty cents giving it to Sesshoumaru who tossed it into the machine without blinking away from the road as they traveled forward. That had impressed Inuyasha a bit. How did his brother do these things? Then again he was with a diayouki who could manipulate things with his mind making them levitate so perhaps it was as simple as that.

“How did you do that?”

Inuyasha asked softly out of curiosity.

“Do what little brother?”

Sesshoumaru asked rather irritated since Inuyasha was never specific in his statements.

“How did you throw the change in that machine without looking? I thought you were not going to use your demon powers on this trip.”

Inuyasha stated wondering if he used his mind powers.

“I did not state that. No, I did not use my powers however for such a trivial thing. I am an assassin. I was trained this way from birth. Do you not think I know how to aim?”

Sesshoumaru stated with a small smile.

“Ok, you are a jerk. How come you never trained me to do that?”

Inuyasha stated softly pouting as he sat back in the passenger’s seat.

“I did, you did not choose to pay attention. That is your fault, not mine Inuyasha. If you would listen once in a while rather than fight me all of the time then you would not have half the problems you do.”

Sesshoumaru stated firmly as they were getting closer to their destination in much faster time then Inuyasha had driven.

“That is it Inuyasha. Your speeding did not get us anywhere any faster and it is your fault there was traffic. Therefore I am driving from now on.”

Inuyasha threw a fit at this.

“How is traffic my fault? I didn’t make all those cars get in our way!”

Sesshoumaru sighed.

“If we would have left earlier we would not have traffic, therefore your procrastination did cause your problem with traffic. We will follow my itinerary from this point on. If we do as I say we will reach our destinations with no trouble. You are at fault and you will accept responsibility for this.”

Inuyasha started grumbling again as he sat back calling Sesshoumaru every foul thing he could think of. Sesshoumaru pulled into a rest stop and turned in fury to look at Inuyasha.

“You will not use such language around the little ones Inuyasha! You will learn to curb your temper or I will do so for you! I am tired of your name calling! You are at fault for your problems! Do not talk back to me or I will treat you as the child you are!”

Sesshoumaru stated in fury sick of his little brother’s grumbling and foul mouth.

“Fine! I will shut up then you jerk! I didn’t want to come in the first place!”

Inuyasha yelled back.

“Get out of the car Inuyasha!”

Sesshoumaru growled.

“What!”

Inuyasha screamed. Sesshoumaru winced a bit at the loud yell even with the ear plugs in that hurt his sensitive ears.

“Get out of the car Inuyasha!”

Sesshoumaru yelled. Inuyasha got out and Sesshoumaru pulled the car over into a parking space. When he got out he grabbed Inuyasha by his ear and marched him behind a tree where no one could see him from the road.

“I will not tolerate this insubordination from you little brother! You will not continue this mutiny against me. You will start behaving or I will spank you like you are a little child. I did it before and I will do it again.”

Inuyasha’s face turned white.

“You wouldn’t!”

At that Sesshoumaru bent Inuyasha over his knee and proceeded to spank the hell out of his little brother. Inuyasha struggled calling Sesshoumaru a billion things until he couldn’t breathe anymore since his voice was horse with tears falling down his cheeks at the humiliation of it all.

“I just did now pull yourself together. You will behave or I will make you. You have been like this for years and I should have disciplined you sooner.”

Inuyasha was sobbing as he looked at Sesshoumaru in hate.

“You are a big mean jerk! You bully!”

Sesshoumaru smiled softly and hugged Inuyasha.

“I do not like punishing you Inuyasha. Why must you make me the jerk as you say all the time? I want us to enjoy this trip together. You continue though to question me. Do not do it.”

Inuyasha couldn’t believe this. It wasn’t like Sesshoumaru at all.

“Why are you hugging me? You are freaking me out.”

Sesshoumaru refused to let go.

“Did you ever think I missed you? That I miss Rin every day? She taught me this and so I will show you all of these things since you will live with me once Kagome is gone. Do you not understand still little brother who you are? That you will live longer than humans and then it is only us until you are no longer so I am once again alone?”

Inuyasha stopped crying and hugged Sesshoumaru back. This was what he had wanted from his brother for years. Inuyasha wished for a single sign of affection so he refused to push it away now.

“Why did you hate me or claim to?”

Sesshoumaru sighed.

“Because I am a demon and you are not a full demon. I was taught this by my parents. Rin taught me what I show you now. I am not an ogre even if you had thought so for a long time.”

Inuyasha then felt Sesshoumaru pull away.

“You are not going to kiss me or something weird like that?”

Sesshoumaru pushed Inuyasha away in anger.

“Why do you make more out of something simple? If you continue this I will continue to be the asshole you claim me to be. Now let us go.”

Inuyasha watched as Sesshoumaru headed toward the car brushing past him. He dried off his tears and prayed that he didn’t look as miserable as he felt. How the hell was he going to sit now?

Sesshoumaru tried not to laugh as Inuyasha squirmed in the seat. He had handed Inuyasha the towel knowing his bottom was a bit sore. He had really given it to Inuyasha and the boy deserved it. If he had his soap it would have gone in that mouth to clean it.

“You will live little brother. We are almost there. Your stomach is making that sound it did before our meal last evening. Do you require sustenance already?”

Inuyasha grumbled.

“Yes, I am starving. There are restaurants that serve food or we can go to a grocery store. You like your meat raw so I suggest the grocery store.”

Sesshoumaru nodded that this would be the right choice since he refused to eat like a human even if he did so for Rin on occasion. They pulled into an Albertson’s along the roadway. Sesshoumaru was fascinated with the store and its many items filling the cart with things he felt they needed. Inuyasha kept putting things back when Sesshoumaru wasn’t looking telling Sesshoumaru they didn’t need all of these things and they would go bad sitting in the car.

“This store has raw meat?”

Inuyasha grinned widely. He loved the grocery store and whimpered a bit when they passed the ramen isle. Sesshoumaru asked what the ingredients were and what the 1700 grams of sodium meant. When he found out it was salt Inuyasha was grounded from them.

“Yes, why can’t I have my ramen?”

Sesshoumaru frowned and looked at his brother.

“You will eat as I see fit. Sodium is salty and it does not taste right. You should eat natural things Inuyasha.“

Inuyasha pouted.

“Salt is a natural thing.”

Sesshoumaru shook his head no.

“Not that much salt. Do you wish to drink sea water? It will make you drink more and we will not be stopping constantly for you to use the bathroom. You already take too much time in there.”

When they got to the meat isle Sesshoumaru practically salivated.

“Are these small plates of choice raw meat? How wonderful, what will the humans think of next? They are innovative. I am impressed.”

Inuyasha smiled because at least this was something they both could agree on and they had more money than anyone needed for only one week.

“Yes and we should just buy out the whole lot of them.”

Sesshoumaru looked at Inuyasha like he lost his mind.

“You cannot do that after putting all my items back. It will go bad and I will not tolerate that. This is excellent. You may choose seven plates of meat. I will choose fifteen. That should fill us up for the day.”

Inuyasha was happy about this, but knew he would want more food later, and it wasn’t fair Sesshoumaru got the most meat.

“How come you get fifteen and I only get seven?”

Sesshoumaru frowned.

“You do not need more food than this and you will desire your human meals. You must sustain both kinds of food for your weak body.”

Inuyasha growled wanting to throw a plate of meat at the meathead.

“I am not weak.”

Sesshoumaru smiled.

“I will be the judge of that Inuyasha.”

Inuyasha growled, but then just decided what the hell. He was getting a real treat because meat was very expensive in Japan. Here in the United States it was not expensive and they could perhaps take some home. He would put in to send some frozen meat to his home even if he had to use EBay to do it.

“Pig meat will not fill you up Inuyasha. You need chicken and beef. There is more of it then the meats you are choosing.”

Sesshoumaru stated as he placed six packs of t bone steaks into the cart he made Inuyasha push around the store. Then three whole chickens, three turkeys, two smaller boneless steaks with three in a pack, and a pack of ribs to clean his teeth.

“I like pork.”

Inuyasha grumbled as he followed suit with his brother forgoing the turkey and chicken for a few packs of t bones as well as some ground beef.

When they got to the check out Sesshoumaru was put out that he had to wait behind humans to pay for the food. So he went outside to the car making Inuyasha wait in line. He refused to lower himself to wait for anyone.

“You left me in the store you jerk.”

Inuyasha stated when he got in the car after putting the bags in and putting the cart away.

“I wait for no one except family and Rin. Even so you took too much time. We must not do that again or we must go to another store so that we will not wait behind humans.”

Sesshoumaru caught the look in Inuyasha’s eyes that made him want to laugh. Inuyasha looked like he was going to strangle his brother any second.

“I am teasing you Inuyasha. I do not wish to wait behind humans, I never have and I will not do so now. Children are who you may wait for as a Lord of Demons, not adults.”

Inuyasha sighed. Sesshoumaru was impossible.

“You are asking way too much from humans and from me Sesshoumaru. They won’t change for you.”

Sesshoumaru sighed as he started the car then looked at Inuyasha frowning as Inuyasha realized he forgot to put on his seatbelt. Rolling his eyes he put it on. Sesshoumaru was not happy. Did Inuyasha not learn the first time the rules of the car?

“You have much to learn as well little brother.”

Inuyasha frowned.

“So when are we going to eat?”

Sesshoumaru sighed as he pulled into the school.

“We shall eat now in the car. I do not wish to cause fear in the children. Do not dribble blood in this vehicle. Use the towel that is why I brought it since you are always messy with your food.”

Inuyasha would have been insulted if he hadn’t been so damn hungry. Sesshoumaru cut up the meat a piece at a time with his claws. The frozen Turkey was nothing for him. He changed his facial features into the demon dog which swallowed three whole chickens and the boneless steaks. Then the t bones were gone and the ribs were last as his face once again changed as he chewed on a few slivers of rib bone to clean his teeth.

“You freak me out when you do that Sesshoumaru so I am going to tell you that doing that to a little kid will not win you over with them.”

Sesshoumaru looked at Inuyasha like he was an idiot.

“This is why I said we would feast in the car little brother. Do not be a fool. You are a mess.”

Inuyasha was embarrassed as Sesshoumaru wiped off his chin with the towel.

“Would you quit moving Inuyasha? If I was really going to embarrass you I would treat you as I did when you were a pup and lick it off. That is what parent Inu’s do with their children so do not be surprised.”

Sesshoumaru stated softly then handed the towel to his brother.

“I can wipe it off myself you know. I ain’t a little kid so stop treating me like one Sesshoumaru.”

Inuyasha stated firmly sick of his brother treating him like he was two years old.

“I told you, when you act like an adult I will treat you like one.”

Sesshoumaru stated getting out of the car as the children arrived for school. He was fascinated with them as they did indeed look like tiny Kagome’s with back packs on their backs. The difference was they were not annoying, they were endearing.

“So very small and fragile are they not little brother?”

Inuyasha watched his brother smile softly at the children. He really did love little ones.

“Yes, so don’t spank them Sesshoumaru.”

Sesshoumaru made an ‘hn’ sound and walked away into the building as Inuyasha rushed to follow.

“Where is the office Inuyasha. We are to go here and register and then we are to follow this yellow bus vehicle to our destination called Six Flagg.”

Inuyasha led the way looking at Sesshoumaru like he was insane again. Then he stopped his brother.

“You know you can’t keep them right Sesshoumaru?”

Sesshoumaru looked down his nose at Inuyasha.

“I am not a fool like you little brother.”

Then Sesshoumaru followed Inuyasha waiting for his brother to open the door for him.

“Go forth your Highness. I can’t believe you made me open the door for you!”

Sesshoumaru sighed feeling very old. Did he always have to explain everything to his little brother?

“This is an institution and you are bound to do this Inuyasha. I do not know these people and you will introduce me. This is the proper way to do things. You have been to this country before. I have not.”

Inuyasha sighed and went in.

“We are here to volunteer for the field trip. This is my brother Michael and I am Rick Sony. We called ahead of time.”

The woman got up from the desk and smiled.

“Ah, yes. Michael Sony, you are the one who called saying your brother Rick was expecting a child so you wished to show him the way children behave. This will be a good experience and we can use all the help we can get. Do you have your passports and information?”

Sesshoumaru smiled softly.

“Yes, I am Michael Sony; this is my passport and the paperwork you required so that you know we are not criminals. I know that was a concern for you my Lady and therefore I wished to insure your trust in us. Rick can really use this experience.”

The woman behind the desk blushed a bit not expecting two young handsome men to walk into the office with such fine English skills for being natives of Japan. She had required a police record in English which was provided and it seemed everything was in order.

“Here fill out these forms of responsibility and we will be leaving in a few minutes. The children are boarding the bus and you will be in charge of the kindergarten group today.”

Inuyasha turned white. These people were nuts. They were intrusting a powerful demon Lord asshole who was master of destruction with five year olds. Whispering to Sesshoumaru he filled out the paperwork with shaking fingers.

“You are nuts Sesshoumaru and so are these people.”

Sesshoumaru frowned at his brother.

“You will learn from these little ones. You will behave and you will observe. That is our position and the sensei’s of this school will be in charge. We will assist. That is what we will do. You are not to speak one foul word in front of the little ones or I shall carry out my threat.”

Inuyasha filled out the form and then helped Sesshoumaru with his as they spoke in Japanese to one another for a few minutes arguing over the fact that Sesshoumaru was still going to go through with this.

“Fine I will do this, but I am not happy about this Sesshoumaru. I can’t believe I am stuck with you and a bunch of five year olds. I must have lost my mind.”

Inuyasha handed the forms to the woman behind the desk.

“You will be helping Ms. Classon’s class. There are twenty students. They will meet you at Six Flaggs Amusement Park by bus number 438. You are to help set up the buddy system for the children and make sure no one gets lost in the park. Have a great time and enjoy your day.”

The Lady smiled and Sesshoumaru nodded to her bowing slightly as he walked out the door with Inuyasha rolling his eyes cursing his brother in his mind over and over again.

They followed the bus to the park with Inuyasha not speaking one word to his brother. He was not happy with this and he was concerned if one five year old got out of line how would his brother react?

“Sesshoumaru you can’t kill people. Promise me you won’t kill anyone before we get out of this car.”

Inuyasha begged before they got out.

“I will not kill anyone unless they harm the young ones.”

Sesshoumaru stated matter of factly as he started walking again. Sesshoumaru was stopped again by Inuyasha.

“These are rides here at this park. I explained that last night in the car. You can’t go around stopping them from going on a ride even if you don’t think it is a good idea. You want them to have fun right?”

Inuyasha stated as Sesshoumaru brushed past him.

“If the ride is safe and they have safety devices then I will not stop them. If they do not have safety devices, than the children will not ride that contraption. It is that simple. I will control this situation even if the sensei does not like it. Children’s lives are more important than fun.”

Sesshoumaru went straight to the bus that said 438 by the side. The children were trying to get down a step that seemed impossibly big for such little feet and legs. So Sesshoumaru watched and realized there was an extra stair for them. Then he felt relieved until one little boy fell. Gently helping the child up the boy looked at the man smiling at him.

“You are a doggie.”

The little boy squealed happily touching Sesshoumaru’s soft long black hair as Sesshoumaru helped dust him off glad the child had not hurt himself.

“Yes I am, but do not tell your sensei that. Ms. Classon and adults do not understand us.”

Sesshoumaru smiled at the child as he ran to the group still grinning as did the other children looking at him. Little ones always knew what he was since that was nothing he could hide from innocent eyes.

Inuyasha was shocked. The children knew what Sesshoumaru was and they were not running screaming in terror.

“How did you do that?”

Sesshoumaru smiled.

“They know what you are too little brother so don’t seem so surprised.”

Ms. Classon had the class line up.

“You need to pick your buddy for the rest of the day.”

The kids groaned and Sesshoumaru walked over looking at them all. Then he bowed to Ms. Classon handing her a paper the office Lady had given him.

“Ah, you are Michael Sony and this young man must be your brother Rick. Congratulations.”

Ms. Classon smiled at Inuyasha who blushed like crazy and rolled his eyes coming to stand by his brother.

“My Lady, may I assist you with setting up your buddy system with the children?”

Sesshoumaru asked politely. Ms. Classon smiled and nodded yes. Sesshoumaru quickly found the children who wanted to be together and could see which ones would cause trouble if they were together. Still no one argued with the big tall dog man. Ms. Classon was shocked and pleased at the way he lined up the children and then stood waiting for them to depart.

“Rick you will follow behind us and Michael do you mind leading the crew into the park?”

Sesshoumaru nodded and Inuyasha grumbled. He went to the back to watch them.

“Ok pipsqueaks come on.”

Inuyasha stated as the children giggled at him. Sesshoumaru being a natural Alpha just expected this little pack to follow him and like good children who knew who the leader of their pack was. Ms. Classon watched the five year olds follow the tall man with the long black hair. She stayed in between and was surprised how well her class was behaving around strangers. They were nice men and this was a good experience for the young Japanese man who was to have a child of his own. His older brother had obviously dealt with children before.

Sesshoumaru looked at the big rides deciding that was not the place for little ones. They were much too dangerous and Ms. Classon came forward pointing to the sign where the kiddy park was located.

Inuyasha looked at the big rides with disappointment. If they had teenagers he could be riding instead of babysitting a bunch of five year olds.

When the kids arrived at the kiddy park there were many oooo’s and ahhhhh’s. Sesshoumaru smiled, but told the children they could not wander off. They would each have turns riding. Some of the children were afraid of the rides so although Inuyasha tried to talk them into going since he would ride with them, they stayed with Sesshoumaru and Ms. Classon.

“You are very good with children.”

Ms. Classon stated to Sesshoumaru.

“I had a child once. They please me.”

Sesshoumaru stated softly. Ms. Classon felt bad since it was obvious this man had lost his child and seemed rather sad although he was pretending to be happy.

“I am sorry for your loss.”

Ms. Classon stated. Sesshoumaru smiled.

“I do not consider Rin’s life a loss. She was alive making me so and therefore it was an honor to enjoy the time I had with her.”

At that Ms. Classon smiled since Michael was wise for one so young.

“Enjoy the day, I will be taking the children to the bathroom soon and we will only be staying for a little while longer. Kindergartener’s get tired quickly.”

Sesshoumaru nodded and watched the children as a little girl ran up to him with her buddy with a dandelion she found. The child reminded him a bit of Rin.

“Here doggie man, this is for you.”

Sesshoumaru smiled and took the dandelion from the child.

“Thank you, I shall treasure this.”

Holding the weed that resembled the sunshine flowers Rin loved Inuyasha looked at his brother funny.

“That is just a weed Sesshoumaru.”

At that Sesshoumaru got up excusing himself from Ms. Classon to talk to his brother. As soon as they were behind a building Sesshoumaru pulled Inuyasha roughly by his collar.

“This child sees this as a treasure! You would do well to remember that! Someday soon you will be a Father and your child will give you something like this! You do not throw such things away! This is more precious to me then your sword Inuyasha or mine! Do not test me with your grumbling today! I warned you of this and if you make one precious child cry calling what gift they give you anything but a treasure I will beat the hell out of you!”

Then Sesshoumaru punched Inuyasha right there in the jaw leaving him on the ground marching back to where the children were riding.

“Is everything ok Mr. Sony?”

Sesshoumaru smiled at Ms. Classon’s question.

“Yes it is. Thank you for your generosity in allowing us to witness the children’s happiness. It means more then you can imagine to us. I am pleased that you are allowing us this and that your school is entrusting us with such a gift.”

Inuyasha came back with a small bruise that was fading on his jaw. He was a bit rumpled and of course one of the children noticed pulling their struggling buddy who wanted to go on the faris wheel over to the bruised hanyou.

“Doggie did you fall down?”

Sesshoumaru smiled telling a little white lie.

“Yes he did. My brother fell down didn’t you?”

Inuyasha saw that look in Sesshoumaru’s eyes that meant he better agree.

“Yes I did.”

The child whispered in Sesshoumaru’s ear.

“Kiss it better?”

Sesshoumaru stated softly?

“He is your little brother and he has an owie.”

Inuyasha wanted to crawl in a hole and die. Sesshoumaru leaned over and kissed the bruise.

“There do you feel better now?”

Sesshoumaru stated almost laughing. He would do this for the child not for Inuyasha. Inuyasha knew if he didn’t answer yes he was going to be even more embarrassed later on.

“Yeah I do now go have fun with your friend kid.”

The boy giggled and ran off with his friend.

“Do you have to embarrass me like this Sess………I mean Michael?”

Inuyasha whispered.

“Yes, it is amusing. We do these things for the children not for ourselves.”

Sesshoumaru smiled and stood up. It was time to gather the children and there was going to be a lot of chaos for a moment.

Ms. Classon and the adults gathered all the little ones with much fussing. None of them wanted to leave, many cried because they wanted to stay, and some just cried because they were tired. Inuyasha was frustrated, but Sesshoumaru calmly was able to gather them getting everything in order. Ms. Classon was ready to recommend him as a permanent volunteer and maybe even work in the classroom. He created miracles with these little ones.

“Alright everyone it is time to leave. Say goodbye to our very special guests who came to help us today.”

Ms. Classon stated as all of a sudden Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha were being hugged by the children. Sesshoumaru picked up the little girl who gave him the dandelion and kissed her cheek setting her down then walking them back to the bus number 438 making certain they all were on the right one as he counted each one. He kept track of their names and who belonged on each bus. Every child was there and so he felt comfortable with leaving.

“That was enjoyable was it not Inuyasha?”

Sesshoumaru stated as he headed out to the car.

“No, but it could have been a lot worse.”

Inuyasha grumbled.

“Why do you say such a thing?”

Sesshoumaru stated softly and dangerously.

“Ask me later when my cheek heals you jerk.”

Inuyasha grumbled as Sesshoumaru laughed patting his brother on the back.

“You are weak, but we will work on this.”

Inuyasha tried to push his brother away and Sesshoumaru pushed him back making Inuyasha laugh this time. This side of Sesshoumaru wasn’t too bad.
