Eight Months Later
Wait For Me
Sesshomaru did wait, of course he had problems with the bitch and her daughter, but they were sent on their merry way soon after Kagome left.
He watched as Kagome became a huge star in America and even in their hometown. She was the town’s hero and everyone seemed to adore her.
He would get letters from her at least twice a month. The letters filled Sesshomaru with hope. One letter in particular got to him. It was the second letter he received from her in fact. He remembered it well for it was the one letter that changed his life for good.
****Kagome’s letter****
Dearest Sesshomaru,
How are you my love? I miss you dearly. I cry myself to sleep some nights for you are not by my side. Everything is going great with my career now. Things are taking off at a great speed. Sometimes I don’t know if I can handle it without you with me. I know you are here in my heart though and that keeps me going. I went to the doctors today. I’ve been feeling ill and didn’t know why. I hate to break this to you in a letter, but I’m worried what you would say over the phone and I’m unable to return yet. So here it goes baby. You are going to be a FATHER! I’m a month along right now and I can’t wait to see you. I don’t know if it’s a boy or girl yet though. I hope it’s a boy so he can be named after his wonderful father. I wonder what our child will be like. Will it look like you or will it look like me? I have no idea. I want our child to have your eyes, your very sexy eyes, the girls or boys would go crazy. Well dear I have to go now. I’m really sorry that this is so short. I just wanted to let you know. I love you Sess and I can’t wait till I’m in your arms once again.

Sesshomaru kept the letters in a box under his bed where nobody could read them. He took them out again and again to re read the updates on Kagome’s pregnancy. The whole world now knew of it, for she was now eight months pregnant and was huge. She was able to find out what the child was. It wasn’t a boy or a girl. It was both; they were going to have twins. A boy AND a girl! Sesshomaru couldn’t wait to hold all three in his arms.
He was only able to see Kagome up on stage on the tv or over the radios. Her belly just kept growing and she was modeling for a magazine nude for crying out loud. He almost went after her to tell her to come home after that fiasco. You couldn’t see anything really. Her belly covered it up and everything from the way she was laying down. He had to say though that she was gorgeous on that cover. Nobody seemed to drop their sells because of it either.
Nobody of course knew who the father was and it was a big conspiracy. Some thought it was her manager or something crazy like that. Sesshomaru knew better though. It was his children in her belly. His and nobody else was going to say different.
Kagome was due back home this month and he just couldn’t wait. He missed her more than anyone could even say. He would mope around the house and barely eat anything. He of course kept up his strength knowing the one thing he wanted more than ever was to sink himself deep inside of his mate. That’s exactly what she was too.
It started snowing the day she was due back. He was at the airport waiting very impatiently for her. News cameras were all over the place and he hated it. He wanted to walk over to them and hit them upside the head for getting between him and his mate.
The plane landed and they started unloading it. The only passengers were all on Kagome’s special team. She even had a personal doctor that went every where with her. She stepped down the stairs and Sesshomaru saw her standing in the middle of them looking out at the crowd waiting for her. She spotted him and a smile broke out on her face.
Sesshomaru pushed through the crowd and ran faster than they knew was possible to the bottom of the stairs. He held his hands out of her and she jumped off of the stairs into his arms. Sesshomaru almost lost his grown but didn’t. He forgot about her huge belly. She looked more beautiful than he last saw her. Even from the magazines and everything else, nothing came close.
“Sesshomaru! You’re here!” Kagome yelled over the noisy people around them as cameras went off to capture the moment.
“Of course I am baby; I will always be here to catch you.” Sesshomaru said with a huge grin on his face that he couldn’t seem to get off his face.
His love was back and staying for as long as she could.
“I missed you sooo much!” they both said at the same moment and laughed right before they kissed for the first time in eight months.
The crowd went crazy. They threw question after question to them and all they could do was touch and kiss each other. Nothing was better than this.
