Yours Truly

Chapter 8

During dinner Kagome and Rin had enough conversation for the entire group. They were still talking as they excused themselves from dinner to walk in the garden. Sesshomaru was the first to start a conversation between the two rival Inu-Youki with a rather odd question.

"Inuyasha, Kagome is a rather interesting specimen. She has followed you to every inch of this country in search of a jewel that she has no use for. She doesn't even wish to have the Shikon Jewel. Do you think that possible there are other reasons behind her actions? Do you think it is possible for a human to love a demon or in your case a hanyou?"

Inuyasha had a very amused face at this comment. "Our ten year meeting anniversary is tomorrow and I never thought about that. I guess in a way it never really mattered to me why she was there, only that she was. I just found out before dinner that she has feelings for me. In fact she loves me and I never knew. I'm sure it's possible to love us, but I think when it comes to stuff like that we're pretty stupid. You, just like me, couldn't feel the love bug biting you if it bit you in the ass. I've had one the size of Totosi's cow chewing my ass for years, and just never paid attention. We're hopeless."

Sesshomaru was even less amused than normal. "So we simply can't understand them unless they tell us?!"

The women weaved in and out of the garden until close to bedtime when Rin began to tire. She decided to part ways with Kagome to join her Lord in the Library for a short time. When she entered the library she was somewhat disappointed. She found no Lord and not so much as a candle had been lit in the library that afternoon. She decided that since she had been so tired that the best thing for her would be to get a good nights rest. She was so tired that she didn't even light a candle to go to her room. She had been down these halls numerous times and was sure she didn't need one to find her way to her quarters. She surpassed most of the hallway and was almost at the staircase that led to her room when her confidence got the better of her and she began walking too fast. She wasn't even expecting it when she tripped over an armored statue and fell to the floor bring it with her.

Sesshomaru was in his quarters when he had heard a crash. His room was no farther from Rin than the stairwell was. Before she could efficiently pick herself up from the floor he was there helping her from the floor. He had smelled the blood as soon as she had fell and knew she was injured. He made haste in an effort to determine the severity of the wounds. He would tend to her before he would dispatch Jaken to attend to the mess she had made in the hall.

He picked her up from the floor and gingerly carried her into his room. He could tell that she was a little incoherent from her accident. Her gown had begun to soak up the blood that was now freely flowing from her wounds. The once white robe was now, in its current state, a spotted red one. Sesshomaru wasn't at all modest when he had begun to undress her. She was in pain and he could see it on her face. She however wasn't about to admit that she was hurting, but he was sure the armor hadn't been a very soft thing to fall on.

"Master I..........I'm okay .......I think." She whispered softly.

He had begun to worry about her incoherence. She was loosing a lot of blood from somewhere and he had the strong urge to find it. He never like to see her face show any emotion other than a smile, and she was not about to oblidge that for him.

"Rin, I've got to find the injuries so that I may help you." He stated sternly.

"They.....They're all over." She stood and began to help him remove her clothes. She knew he had meant her no harm. He was her Lord, and she trusted him to take care of her, at any cost.

She had no sooner felt her gown hit the floor when his hands had began to roam her body looking for injuries. The worst one was a gash on her left side that he figured had been created by the sword on the statue.

"I assume this would be the injury whose scent claimed my senses." He assumingly mentioned.

He sat on the bed and placed his clawed hands on her hips, and moved her to stand in front of him. He moved her arm to the side and began to tenderly lap at the wound on her side. His demon powers had almost immediately started to heal her wounds. He was surprised that as she had begun to heal and come to her senses she had also began to moan ever so lightly. He was somehow sure that since the incident at the waterfall that she wasn't moaning from the pain.

She had regained consciousness as all her wounds had healed. She wasn't even in pain anymore. She looked down to see the cut on her side which was now gone and was surprised to see that her Master was still licking her.

How about a cliffhanger. Someone said that my chapters weren't long enough so how's this one.
