Kagome sat down on the couch in her living room and just stared around the room. Evidence was everywhere from their little escapade last night. She couldn't help but think of what all they had been through in just three days. And it was all gone, just like that. She was angry at her self for letting her tongue slip now she knew that she would onlly see Sesshomaru at work and the many fuctions the magazine would have.

Kagome slouched in the chair and sighed, "I'm such a fool. A stupid fool! And there goes another love maybe i was just meant to be alone for the rest of my life."

Sesshomaru's drive was none to pleasing there had been a traffic accident on one of the highways and he was stuck. According to the police officer who walked up to his SUV it was goiing to take a long while. He put the truck in park and just sat there thinking about Kagome. It seemed he couldn't get his mind off her. Now what realationship they did have was runied. He hated this feeling of being incomplete, of being lost. 'Why can't I just stop thinking about her' Sesshomaru thought.

*Because she is our mate.* his Youkai barked.
'Mate! She is not our mate! We have not marked her! So how could she be our mate!' *She is our mate. Don't deny it. Listen, even now her body calls to us.* his youkai growled. *Listen, Listen, she wants us. She wants us to take her. Go to her!* his youkai pleaded. 'She does not want us. We must leave her be she is only a human.' Sesshomaru shot back.

Suddenly Sesshomaru felt a sharp pain at the back of his head and he felt sick to his stomach. 'What...what just happened?' He thought as he grabbed the back or his head. *Our mate needs us she is in trouble! We must go to her!* his youkai barked. Sesshomaru not one to argue with his youkai when it came to danger swirved his truck out of the long line and headed back for Kagome's.

Kagome was crying in the shower as she realized that there was nothing she could ever do to make Sesshomaru love her even if he did before. She was about to turn off the water but, her blurry eyes did not see the bar of soap and she slipped and hit her head on the tile wall behind her. Kagome brought her hand to her head and saw blood as her world began to go dark. 'Sesshomaru, Sesshomaru. Help me! I...I...I'm sorry. Please, help...me! Kagome fainted as her blood was slowly rushin down the drain.

Sesshomaru's heart was pounding now as he drove up into Kagome's drive. He jumped out the truck and ran to Kagome's door. He knocked then rang the door bell several times with no response. He began to panic something was wrong she should have answered by now. With no other choice but to break down the door. He rammed the front door in and yelled for Kagome.

He ran into the livingroom only to hear running water. 'No!' he thought as he dashed to the bathroom door and opened it only to find Kagome lying on the tile floor in a puddle of her own blood as it ran down the drain. Sesshomaru could smell that she had been crying and shut the water off. He wrapped a towel around her body and tore his shirt and tightly banaged her head.

Sesshomaru carried her out to the truck and placed a barrier around the house just in case. He pulled out of the drive way and sped to the nearest hospital with his blinkers flashing. When they reached the emergancy room the nurses took Kagome into surgery and Sesshomaru walked to the waiting room. He called Lizzy on his cell phone and told her what had happened. Liz said that she would be over later to see how she was doing.

Sesshomaru paced the waiting room waithing for anything about Kagome's condition because all he could sense is that she was still unconsious. He would have been able to sense more if he had marked her, of course, so he had to wait.

A nurse finaly came in the waiting room and told him that she would be fine. He asked if he could see her, she said yes and that even though there was a lot of blood it was a very small cut and that she would be her old self in the next few days.

Sesshomaru walked into the room where Kagome was and just stared at her. "I never should have left you alone. I should have followed you in. This is all my fault." he whispered grasping her hand. Kagome squeezed his hand and slowly opened her eyes. "It's not your fault. I was crying for no reason when I fell. I thought that you didn't care for me but you being here proves me wrong. I'm sorry can you forgive me?"

Sesshomaru simply bent down and kissed her. Liz had just walked in the door to catch the kiss. "AH HA! I knew there was something between you two. I just had to wait for it." Liz shouted with glee. Sesshomaru whirled around to see Liz standing at the door leaning on the frame. Kagome just closed her eyes and let her head fall back onto the pillow. 'This is it all I have worked for gone down the drain for the man I love. Wait! Love, since when did I start loving Sesshomaru?!"

"Liz, I can explain." Sesshomaru said in a clam voice still holding Kagome's hand. "Nope! The kiss explained enough and I am very very happy for the both of you. I just knew you two would make the perfect couple!"

"What!" Kagome shot up in her bed and yelled. "You mean to tell me you set us up?!" Kagome shouted grabing the back of her head. "Well of corse, I set you two up how else was Gender going to be a big hit if the couple on the cover didn't look happy to be with each other. The magazine, as you both know, is undergoing this remake meant for couples. So, duhhhh!"

Lizzy smiled, waved goodbye, and walked out of the room shutting the door behind her. "Ooooo! When I get my hands on her. I'm gonna knock her so hard that when she comes to she gonna need a hair cut." Kagome growled. Sesshomaru laughed and kissed Kagome which stopped her anger dead in its tracks.

Lizzy was walking to her car and dialed a number on her phone. "Hey, guess what your plan worked they are so in love you can almost smell it." she paused to listen. "Don't worry by the end of the year I'll have them hitched so fast their heads will be spinning. Talk to ya later buh bye!" Lizzy closed her phone hopped in her car and drove off.
