Chapter 8 Falling
Disclaimer: yeah I wish I owned it but sadly I don’t, I have no money, I do this for my own sick amusement. Poor me, le sigh.
A/n Thank for the reviews and sorry about the long wait my muse sorta kinda rolled over and died… some how I think when you have too much to write all your inspiration gets spent doing that instead of what you really want so with out further ado I present another chapter.
“WHAT!” Inuyasha yelled face wide in shock.
“Not only that but you are required to attend Inuyasha seeing as you are a family member. If you do not show it will be a huge disgrace to the family name and you will no longer be welcome to wonder the lands freely as you do now. Further more you will be wearing an outfit befitting your station as royalty no exceptions will be made I expect you at the castle six moons from now. On the seventh will be the ceremony (one moon equals one day for me) if you fail to show the consequences shall be severe” Sesshomaru said with Kagome by his side.
“You can’t se serious Kagome, he hates humans” Inuyasha said dumfounded. “Well technically I was never human so their in lies the solution. I have only come to invite all of you to the ceremony and pick up Shippo. But while I am here I wish to see my family if that is ok with you Lord Sesshomaru” Kagome finished looking at the demon lord. “I promised you would be allowed to so you may have the rest of the day until the moons peak to visit. Tell me where to take you so I may see you are safe” Sesshomaru said looking at the woman who stood at his side. “Take me to the old well, their all your questions will be answered” Kagome said placing Shippo in Songo’s arms.
She turned to the woods and started on her walk to the future. As she walked kagome wondered how to tell Sesshomaru exactly what went on and where she was from. But all too soon they had reached the well and she still had no idea what to tell him.
‘The truth’ an inner voice told her. ‘Who are you to give me ideas?’ she pondered back. ‘Your inner self, your blood beast’ it chuckled back. ‘Oh’ was all she could say as a large hand descended upon her shoulder and stopped her progress.
“We are here, where do you meet your family at?” Sesshomaru questioned the very distant miko. “You see the well” she pointed. “Of course, get to the point” he almost growled out. “Well you see it’s a gateway to my family” she said looking at the grass. “A gateway you make no sense girl” He said. She looked up at him anger in her eyes. “We forget one of our promises” Kagome said aura crackling around her. “It’s a portal to my time, I’m not from here I come from the future 500 years to be exact” she said still looking at him with anger.
This new revelation however stunned him but made sense all the same. ‘This explains everything’ the monster said. ‘Truly it does’ he replied back.
“This Sesshomaru now understands you Kagome, go see your family and tell them of the events that shall take place. You have as long as you need” Sesshomaru said while placing a hand upon her shoulder. “Thank you” Kagome said while looking into the golden eyes, seeing for the first time a bit of compassion.
With out a second word she squeezed his hand and removed it while she took a step back to the well. Stepping onto the edge she looked back one last time and jumped into the dark abyss. Sesshomaru looked down and all that was left was a blue flash of power. He was saddened at the loss but knew it was best in the end. Setting down he went into deep meditation to think of how to win the miko’s heart.
