Chapter 8: Lose
Sesshoumaru couldn't comprehend why he was letting Kagura kiss him. Maybe it was because when he saw 'Sato' or rather Rin, he felt suddenly nervous, anxious and the way she gazed at him...
Kagura kissing him took him by surprise, but his youkai couldn't take her touch. It was raging, snarling, fighting viciously to reach the surface and it was... almost there.
He could feel his control slipping, maybe it was because he was so edgy now-a-days, or maybe it was because he wanted to see Rin again and he did see her. But, when he did see her, he knew what he wanted.
To claim her.
Forever...
But... then again forever was a long time.
The faint markings were appearing on the side of his cheeks and his forehead, his eyes, starting to drip crimson, staining quickly, rapidly.
His hands moved from Kagura's waist, higher, in a slow and deliberate manner. He grabbed her upper arms roughly, pushing her away from him, his hands still gripping her upper arms. She stared at him, he could smell the beginnings of fear and anxiety rolling off her slim body in waves.
He smirked.
Good...
"What's the matter, whore. Why are you suddenly so afraid of me?" He whispered, his voice sounding rough, deepening a pitch. His crimson colored gems, gleaming with dark and cruel intent.
She gasped in outrage.
His fangs gleamed in the faint sunlight that cast upon his form. His lips curled into a snarl, his claws digging into Kagura's skin. She let out a soft cry and his smirk grew into a sardonic, cold, and cruel one.
A smirk full of contempt.
Triumph.
She squirmed, trying to get away from him. He moved, pressing his body against her own and she whimpered. One of his hands moved from her arm and it traced over her rose colored lips.
She had such beautiful lips...
He smirked.
...Too bad she had such a - dirty - mouth.
His youkai completely dominated his body by now. His lips smashed against her own with a hard, bruising force. She yelped, her weak hands trying to push him away as his fangs sank into her fleshy lips, drawing blood. His other arm gripped her tightly and she sank into his body, letting him handle her roughly. His youkai snarled. He pushed her to the ground, actually threw her. He stood up, gathering his books.
"The next time you pull a stunt like that - Kagura... -" he spat her name like poison. "I will not hesitate to kill you. Heed my words."
He strode away from her, his youkai crowing with victory, his eyes still flashing in and out of crimson.
'Rin' his youkai called out to her, wanting her, needing her.
He wanted to rid himself of Kagura's disgusting and filthy scent.
'Slut' his youkai growled.
'Filthy vermin!'
His eyes returned to their normal color, the faint markings on his cheeks and forehead disappearing. He growled. He fucked up big time. And Rin stared at him like... like...
He closed his eyes willing the images to leave him.
Her sad and wide broken eyes piercing into his very soul, her tears, her shouts, her shrieks, her pain, her pleasure...
He knew that he stared at her with hatred, well part of him did anyway...
His human side.
Damn!
He cursed the human emotions. He preferred to be known as the 'Ice-prince.' It was better and no one got hurt. His eyes were cold as they bore into her own. Her vulnerable looking eyes.
Her lips were quivering, her eyes wide with shock, fear, and anticipation. Her cheeks were red, her lashes were obviously wet from the tears she'd shed, but for him?
Why?
Why would she bother to cry for him?
She was just like the others wasn't she?
NO!
'No, she's not like that you insolent fool' his youkai snarled angrily.
'She is our mate and I swear that the next time you treat her like - that - I will not hesitate...' his youkai hissed, leaving a warning, a soft, but hidden warning.
A secret.
Or perhaps an unspoken fact.
But his youkai side would not conceal it's lust, nor it's love for her, for Rin. Afterall, she was his mate and she was running away from him. He growled at that thought. Then again, what was life without a chase. His lips curved upwards. And he loved a good chase...
He suddenly smiled.
The smile was anything but comforting.
In fact it was very, very unpleasant.
_ _ _ _ _
She stared out the window, her soft forest green eyes appearing troubled, lost even.
Her mind muddled and thrown into a state of confusion.
Her palms, rubbing her thighs anxiously.
How was she going to tell him?
How and more importantly... when?
Tears pricked the corner of her eyes and she blinked them away furiously. If Jii-chan knew all the trouble she was getting into...
If only someone knew what trouble she had already created.
She shuddered.
She really wanted to talk to Rin, but then again, Rin was also upset.
If only...
She turned to look at her lover and was amazed at how the breath was still knocked out of her, every time she looked at him.
He was gorgeous.
She smiled wryly.
Then again, he was always gorgeous.
He turned to look at her and grinned.
Her heart instantly melted.
He was so handsome. She took in a deep breath of air. The lord only knew how much she loved him.
She just hoped that he loved her as much as she loved him. She let out the deep breath of air she didn't know she was holding.
...Kouga...
'I love you so much that it hurts, it really, really hurts...' she thought, turning her head away from him.
She couldn't look at him. She just couldn't bear it if he saw the truth in her eyes.
What would he say?
She smiled bitterly.
'He would probably have a coronary heart attack' she thought, falling back on the excuse that Rin would always use, when Kouga took things out of proportion, but this time...
She swallowed thickly.
...This time, the situation had got out of control. God, she was so damn stupid.
So stupid.
She shook her head and was startled to feel a soft and strong hand curl around her fingers, rubbing over it sensually, smoothly. Strong fingers gave her hand a strong good squeeze followed by a strong, deep, and sultry voice.
"Baby, what's wrong?"
She blinked, hazy forest green eyes turning to meet strong, piercing topaz colored ones.
She swallowed and turned away from him her fiery colored bangs falling into her piercing, troubled eyes. She blinked, as he pulled over and turned off the engine.
"Ayame..." he called out softly, making her cheeks burn with humiliation.
She turned her face away from him, still upset. She blinked, surprise forming in her clear forest colored eyes when his strong fingers gripped her chin, not roughly, but hard enough to draw her attention. His fingers gently ran over her soft, rosebud colored lips. His blue eyes turned to a stormy color, blazing actually making her shudder visibly. She licked her dry lips, her tongue accidentally brushing over his thumb making him growl possessively.
"...Kouga..." she whispered and shuddered again as he brushed his thumb softly over parted lips.
He shifted in his seat, his fingers gripping her soft skin and she let out a startled squeak as he pulled her onto his lap. She shuddered, her fingers gripping his strong shoulders as he ground his body against her own soft and supple one causing vivid and hot friction spiraling throughout her body. She arched beneath his touch and groaned feeling her stomach clench and coil with the familiar warmth she felt everytime she was with him. And she was suddenly aware of the growing dampness between her legs. She shifted against his lap making sure that she was straddling his thick and strong thighs and she could feel the hardness between her thighs. He took in a deep, sharp intake of breath making her lips curve upward for the first time in a few days.
"Kouga" she whispered as the fingers of his hand curled at her side, grinding himself into her. She was so warm and so soft that he was sure that he'd died and gone to heaven. She leaned back as his other hand found the waistband of her soft and frilly underwear which was of the color green.
"Ayame" he groaned, his voice hoarse, his eyes dilated with lust.
At his strained words, Ayame turned to look at him through half-lidded eyes. She smiled devilishly.
"Yes?" She whispered huskily arching a thin brow in pure, delighted amusement. She looked so utterly intrigued that he couldn't look away from her soft, trusting eyes. He was drawn to her like a mindless bug to a zapper. She blinked and shifted against him purposely trying to get his attention off of her eyes. Her soft and supple breasts brushed over his cheek softly startling him. He lowered his eyes.
"Kouga" she called out softly, timidly.
He raised his eyes, only to become level with her chest. Her breasts were thrust temptingly in front of him, her nipples taut and straining against the fabric of her uniform shirt, but he wasn't surprised because of how flimsy it was. All he had to do was lean forward and he could wrap his lips around the fabric of her shirt, or...
He smirked, his teeth glittering. His hand lifted from her hip with maddening slowness to the hem of her shirt. She whimpered, as the rough fabric was pushed and rubbed against her sensitive and heated skin. She felt hot and feverish. She cried out as his lips moved over a sensitive peak making her arch against his touch. He shifted against her and she could feel her sex brush against his own. Her fingers softly brushed over his face, caressingly. Her thumbs dipping over his swollen lips, staring at his perfection.
He was so very, very perfect.
She couldn't find any fault with him.
And he was so very, very hers.
She smiled and bent her head down, her lips brushing over his own in a feather light kiss. Her fingers, cupping his face loosely, as he ground his body into her own body experimentally. He groaned against her mouth, his face turning and tilting to meet her own when suddenly the shrill ring of his cell phone broke him from what he was going to do next.
Ayame pulled back, her hazy green eyes with flecks of gold inside of them returning to the land of the living. She blushed hotly, sliding off his lap, realizing what they had almost done.
"H... Hello" he answered shakily, coughing in the process watching with lust-filled eyes as Ayame re-arranged her clothing.
"W... what? What do you mean she's not there?" He asked, his tone sounding very much, like steel.
He leaned back in his seat.
"I see... yeah, yeah I got it. Don't worry, I'll talk to her" he said and promptly hung up the phone.
"K..Kouga what is it?" Ayame asked, her stomach doing flip flops.
He sighed, closing his eyes, briefly.
"Rin" he mumbled.
"What about her?" She questioned softly.
"She's not at school, in fact she didn't show up at all today" he said and Ayame blinked in surprise.
"School, s... school already started?" She asked in a bewildered tone. She looked at her watch and almost screamed.
"I'm late" she yelled making Kouga wince.
"Sorry" she whispered automatically, her fingers fisting themselves in her red uniform skirt, her head lowering. Her lashes quivered on her reddened cheeks.
Oh Dear Lord, what was wrong with her? She was about to have sex, with her boyfriend, in his car...
What was the world coming to, but...
She smiled bitterly.
'When I'm with Kouga, I'll do it anywhere and everywhere, no questions asked. What is wrong with me? Why is this happening to me?' She thought, gripping her skirt until her knuckles turned white.
She let out a shuddering breath and her body lurched forward.
"W.. what? Oh..." she mumbled and blinked.
Once.
Twice.
Thrice.
She was in front of the school, she hadn't even realized when Kouga's car started up again. She opened the door to get out and blinked when a strong hand gripped her wrist.
"Baby, are you alright?"
His deep baritone voice asked, sending shivers crawling throughout her spine.
She flashed him one of her best smiles, even though her heart was heavy with guilt and opened her mouth to speak.
"I.." she hesitated. "I'm fine, it's nothing important" she mumbled, lowering her dark lashes.
'At least... I... I don't think so' she thought, her eyes clouding over.
He leaned forward to brush his lips against her own and at the last minute she turned her face away so that his lips brushed against her cheek. She shivered, but she knew that this was for the best. She flashed him another smile.
"See you later Kouga" she mumbled and left the car, she practically flew into the school, ignoring the way his blue eyes bore into her soul.
His seemingly dark eyes narrowed.
'Your hiding something from me Ayame and I intend to find out what it is, mark my words. I - will - know' he thought and turned on the engine to his black Jaguar.
His lips curled into a wry smile and he leaned back in his seat for a moment.
'So Rin... did you decide to go see father. After all this time you've forsaken him.. have you finally decided to see him?' He pondered to himself and blinked, deciding to miss school if only for one day. Besides, he was already late.
"Only one way to find out" he murmured to himself aloud and drove away from the school.
_ _ _ _ _
Rin wandered around loosely in the cemetery and shivered. She hadn't been here in a while and she couldn't remember where her father's grave was.
She smiled wryly.
Oh she remembered where it was, she was just stalling.
She was... afraid. She bit her bottom lip, chewing it thoughtfully.
She had walked here, her eyes set with determination. She weaved expertly in and out of people, barely feeling the brush of their shoulders as her distracting thoughts consumed her. She paused as she reached her fathers grave and smiled bitterly.
"Wi.. will you forgive me Papa? Will you forgive me for not bringing any flowers? You always used to give me my favorite flowers, Forget Me Not's. Ironically..." she trailed off before clearing her throat. "Ironically I forgot you, well not really, but Papa... Papa, should I have brought you Forget Me Not's? I never forgot you. Never! I... you... I just couldn't bear to come here, especially after you were gone because I refused... refused to accept it. And if I had came here I would of realized that the reality was that you were gone and I just couldn't bear it... I... I'm so sorry Papa, so sorry, so sorry, I never meant to forsake you" she whispered, falling to her knees as her tears spilled out of her eyes.
She clenched them shut, her hands wiping them away. Pulling her hands back she noticed the faint markings of her black mascara. She pulled a tissue out of her book bag and wiped off the make-up.
She blinked, looking up through hazy brown eyes as she heard approaching footsteps. Her eyes instantly met a pair of scuffed black boots. Her eyes lifted higher only to be met with a pair of skin tight jeans, followed by a black T-shirt and a red button down shirt that was tucked loosely into his pants. She blinked, her lips curling into a brief smile.
"Kou.. Kouga" she stuttered slightly, her cheeks turning an embarrassing shade of pink.
"I knew you would come here, eventually Rin. It was only a matter of time" he mumbled sitting down next to her.
Her eyes flickered upwards to meet her brother's aquamarine gems, or maybe even blue topaz colored orbs. She wasn't really sure at the moment, nor did she choose to care. But, his eyes were framed with dark, thick, long black lashes that could make any girl envious. Her lips lowered for a moment. She could see her reflection in her brother's crystal blue eyes.
She was insubstantial, a ghostly figure in the crystal colored glass that met her own sad, glossy, and wide eyes. She suddenly realized something...
Her eyes were the only things that held any substance, because she was a young girl alone, in a sea of water. She was drowning. But her eyes... her eyes held all her emotion, all her feelings.
They were dark, piercing and troubled.
Rin Hara was lost.
She was lost and no one had yet to find her. With every passing second, minute, hour, and day the feeling grew until it threatened to devour her.
Only when she was with Sesshoumaru did she feel whole. Only then did she feel as though nothing else mattered.
She sighed.
If only life was simple, if only things were so different...
If only...
"Hey" her brother called and she was instantly pulled out of her brooding thoughts.
She raised a brow and smiled, although to her it seemed... deformed.
"What?" She asked sitting on the soft grass beside him.
"Do you... do you miss him?" He asked.
She instantly tensed, before forcing herself to relax.
She smiled, this time for real.
"I've always missed him. I've always needed him. I... I can't handle these things, I can't take too many things at once. I want, I want..." she trailed off and shuddered.
She didn't know who she was talking about anymore.
Was it her father she was talking about or was she talking about Sesshoumaru?
"There's a lot of things I want Kouga, but in life you don't always get those things, so you learn to deal" she mumbled, her eyes holding a far away look.
She blinked and turned to look at her brother as he shifted and got up.
"Where are you going?"
"Home, Rin, I think you and the old man need some time alone, I... are you gonna be alright?" He asked, worry etching into the way his brows furrowed.
She smiled and nodded her head, watching as he walked away.
She turned back to look at her father's grave and smiled. She leaned forward, her fingers running gently over her father's tombstone. She bit her lip.
"Papa, you forgive me, don't you?"
The wind brushed against her skin in a gentle caress.
She smiled again.
"I love you too Papa" she mumbled, her lashes lowering in guilt and sadness.
But what can I say about Sesshoumaru?
Can he reassure me that he loves me?
_ _ _ _ _
The mirror was a liar.
She growled angrily.
It reflected a haunting, vivid and guilty image. Guilty and haunted jade colored gems, definitively set within a soft, heart shaped face. An irresolute sadness spilled from those eyes, a kind of liquid sunlight that illuminated all that it touched. It said nothing about irresolute happiness, the tiny fragments of thoughts that replayed the guilt that had been tugging at her heart strings and she wondered if she should of told him.
Ayame shook her head and closed her eyes trying to appear calm and composed, although she knew she was failing miserably.
She walked over to the window, the small window in the girl's bathroom. She blinked, the rain was falling.
Her lips quirked into a cool smile and she didn't have to hide her dislike for the weather.
She truly hated knowing that the rain was more than the dropping of water from Heaven.
In fact they were Rin's sorrow, and her tears...
_ _ _ _ _
She smiled, ruby colored gems glittering with vengeance and anger.
Hara would pay!
No one took Sesshoumaru from her and got away with it. She walked up the stairs of the house and rang the door bell impatiently. She heard a gruff yell and her heart skipped a beat.
It couldn't be... could it?
The door opened and her heart nearly stopped.
She quickly composed herself and smiled at the gaping male in front of her.
"K... Ka.. Kagura" he stuttered, his eyes wide in obvious shock.
She smiled, her smile one of pure malice.
"Hello Kouga" she said breathlessly, a little too breathlessly in his opinion.
He was brought out of his musings when she said the next words that made him nearly lose all his self-control.
"Or should I call you lover?"

Longer than the last capter, ne? Review, they make me so happy and feedback is always appreciated...
