Questions

Auko tried to forget about it, but when she did it always brought other questions she dared not ask hiLikeLike if Sesshomaru was so cold hearted, why would he help her. He couldn’t have developed any sort of liking to her in the short times they met….could he?

That brought another question to her mind. What were her feelings towards him? Nothing that would declare him a friend, but he wasn’t her enemy either. It was obvious to her gh tgh that there had been some sort of attraction or connection between them. The answer baffled her at the moment.

Like Sesshomaru said, a ser bro brought her some breakfast. The servant had offered to feed her, but Auko made it all too clear that she would not accept help of that sort. She had too much independence and dignity to allow it. It didn’t matter because after she had eaten about half the meal, she was ready to throw-up.

Auko rested for most of the day,tly tly because she was bored to death. The small child, Rin, had come to visit with her for a while. Auko was happy to know that she was playing with Tork and keeping him company. It wasn’t until sunset that Sesshomaru visited again.

He seemed concerned when she had passed dinner. Auko told him that she was still full from earlier and he dropped the subject. To stop anything that would start an awkward silence, Auko asked a question that had been bothering her all day.

“Sesshomaru, why did you help me? We both know my condition wasn’t life threatening.” She avoided looking at him, but kept her tone nonchalant.

He thought she would ask this question and had prepared an answer. “You’re strong; especially considering the fact that you are a human-a female human to be exact. By doing this, you will be in debt to me. I’m sure you will make a good ally.”

Auko was glad with his answer. If she was an ally to him, that meant he was an ally to her also. You could never have enough of those. She did suspect that there was another reason, probably ha som something to do with their connection when the first met.

The two talked for a couple more minutes before Sesshomaru declared that he had to leave. He said that he had a lot of work to do now that he was back home.

Auko had gone to sleep that night thinking about how this demon Lord could have a home, and she not. It caused a sinking feeling in her body, but she wouldn’t allow it to bother her…even though it did.
