A familiar Stranger

“Kawaiii!! Rin wants them too! They look just like Sesshoumaru’s Sama!” Rin said pointing at Kaida’s crescent moon and marking on her face and her arms. Kaida smiled and took a deep breath. She was happy again, being with the two people she adored. Nothing too exciting happened in the morning, but after Kaida had put down Rin for her nap went and stood next to Sesshoumaru.
“I need to go somewhere.”
“Where?” He said not liking the idea.
“Well, last time I saw Inuyasha and his group…well…I owe them an explanation.”
“I forbid it.”
“Why do you get like ?” s?” she asked him already getting angry, “I may be your mate but I’m not a prisoner in my own home.”
“You chose to be one the moment you kissed me.”
“I distinctly remember you kissing me first!”
He quietly looked over at her. Didn’t she understand the danger she would be in? Not to mention him.
“Then I will go with you.”
“No, you cannot go with me. I won’t get a word in with Inuyasha and his group…..and you know it!” She said that last par soo soon as she had seen Sesshoumaru’s mouth open to say something.
“Then Jaken will go with you.” He said turning his head so he wouldn’t be looking at her directly.
“Fine, whatever makes you happy.” She said whipping around so that her hair hit him gently on his sleeve. He watched her walk away from him, and he saw how tight the yukata was that she was wearing. He caught up with her at the entrance of the castle. She was about to call for Jaken when she felt his hands or wrr wrist.
“I’m going whether---” she was cut off by not so gentle kiss from him. He wrapped his arms around her and pulled her away from the door, and in the direction of his room.
“Before you leave…”

About 45 minutes and a couple of climaxes later, Kaida called for Jaken.
“I will take good care of her Sesshoumaru-sama!” He said as he struggled to catch up with her. Sesshoumaru said nothing but narrowed his eyes as they both left the grounds.

“Where did Sesshoumaru Kai Kaida?” Shippo said. Finally starting the conversation nobody else would start. They all sat around the bonfire thinking what had happened months ago.
“Who knows,” Inuyasha said looking away from the fire, “he probably killed her already.”
“Do you really think so? I’m guessing he was as curious as the rest of us to know how she used the two swords.” Miroku said.
“I just don’t understand why she was able to pick up the Tetsusaiga.” Said Kagome as she put her head on her knees.
“Has it crossed anybody’s mind that maybe she was telling the truth?”
Everyone looked at Miroku.
“Think about it. She comes a day before Kagome-sama is supposed to die and warns us about it. When she and I took watch she told me how it was going to happen and how Inuyasha was going to lose it, and how shortly there after everyone else was gonna die. She herself told us that she killed Inuyasha. Wouldn’t that leave Tetsusaiga open for a new master? And she did say Naraku had been able to complete the Shikon Jewel. The kind of power the two swords made together would be hard to beat, even with the Shikon-no-tama.”
“If the two swords are as powerful as you say they are, why didn’t Kaida use them to defeat Naraku? And anyway, Tetsusaiga was made to protect humans. She wouldn’t be able to pick it up just randomly!” Kagome said starring at Inuyasha.
“I wasn’t the one that picked it up after Inuyasha died.” Kaida said coming out from behind one of the trees.
“WHY YOU--!” Inuyasha drew Tetsusaiga out ready to use it on Kaida. But once again, she pulled her sword out of nowhere and blocked it.
“Are you going to try to kill me or can I finish what I was going to tell you?” she said squinting her eyes at him. Inuyasha said nothing but pushed himself away from her sword, only to attack again immediately.
“Leaving your left side open again Inuyasha.” Kaida said as she grabbed Inuyasha’s wrimakimaking him drop Tetsusaiga. She quickly grabbed it and pushed Inuyasha against a tree putting the two swords on either side of Inuyasha’s neck, like a giant scissor.
“Let him go.” Kagome said pointing a purity arrow at Kaida.
“I only came to say goodbye and hopefully you’ll keep yourselves alive long enough to kill Naraku.” She stepped away from Inuyasha, and stuck Tetsusaiga in the ground. Kagome put the arrow down as she came toward the fire.
“So you’re my sister-in-law now?” Inuyasha said afhe hhe had put Tetsusaiga away and sat down next to Kagome. Now that Inuyasha had mentioned it, those markings did look familiar.
“Technically I guess.” Kaida said smiling.
“So Sesshoumaru didn’t kill you I take it?”
“No, he didn’t Miroku he did just the opposite!” Kaida then turned around, “Jaken, it’s all right.”
The little toad wobbled out of some bushes with a very skeptical look on his face. These were not his favorite people to be around with. He sat next to his new mistress and said nothing else for the rest of the conversation.
“Anyway, I just came to see how everything was going. And I want to apologize to Inuyasha for throwing him across the field…” she said with a nervous chuckle at Inuyasha.
“Forget about it.” He said with a not too convincing voice.
“Inuyasha, she was nice enough to come here and apologize.” Kagome said starring at him.
“Anyway, I guess I’ll get going.” Kaida said after a couple of strange quiet moments had gone by.
“Kaida, I was going to ask you…” Miroku said when she was about to disappear into the forest, “I take it this is your home now?”
“Yes it is…why do you ask?”
“Well, it strikes me as odd that’s all.”
“What does?” she said looking concerned.
“If you from the future, and you came back to save Kagome, wouldn’t there be another ‘you’ from this time?”
“How dare you ask her that?” Jaken screamed at the monk, “Kaida-sama…eeehhh..” he finished not being able to come up with a good defense.
“Good question.” She said as she pulled Jaken and left the group without answering Miroku.
“What a weird Youkai,” said Inuyasha, “and good riddance to her.”
“Aren’t you just mad at her about being able to use to two swords?” Kagome said to him.
“Keh-I’ll be able to do that someday besides…”

“That will be all Kanna.” Naraku said waving her away with his hand. Kagura had been right, there was a youkai who had been able to use the two swords. “Kaida. What a fine addition she would make.” He thought to himself, “They said that she wasn’t from this time…the time demon perhaps?”
