Within minutes of gathering up their belongings, the two men could hear another approaching horse. As Bankotsu watched in silence, Jakotsu dusted off his pants before plastering a bright smile on his face; waving his hand frantically once the rider was close enough to make out who it was. "Well I'll be...," the rider started even as he dismounted his horse and pulled Jakotsu into a bear hug; lifting his slender form clear off of the ground.
"I was starting to think you'd never get around to visiting these parts. I sure am glad to see you're doing well," the rider continued when he finally let go of Jakotsu and stepped back to get a good look at him. "Looks like business has been treating you better than the last time I came through. So who's this? Your beau?" the rider questioned, turning their attention to the quiet man.
"No this is my friend, Bankotsu. Bankotsu, this is my old friend Inuyasha," Jakotsu introduced without taking his eyes off of him; and completely missing the look of hurt that passed through Bankotsu's eyes at his words. Catching the look, Inuyasha just looked at each in turn before shrugging off the look and turning his attention back to Jakotsu.
"So what has brought you out my way finally?" Inuyasha inquired a bit confused. He didn't mind that he had come to visit, but he honestly never thought he would take him up on his offer. He never really imagined him leaving the saloon; no matter how badly they has treated him.
"To be honest, we're in need of a second horse. We've made this one carry two passengers for far too long. I was hoping you would have some work you needed done around your place so we could pay for one," Jakotsu explained slightly ashamed to have to ask. At least, he reminded himself, he was willing to work for it and wasn't just asking for a hand out.
"Well I'll be a pile of cow pies if you don't just have perfect timing," Inuyasha informed him slapping his hat across his leg and causing a cloud of dust to billow up from them. "I actually have a job for you within my dominion."
