Yes, in this story, Sesshomaru knows where Kagome comes from. I haven’t seen all of the series so I don’t know if he finds out but I like it this way. Sorry to the hardcore fans.

...And her mind just went blank and she froze. The only thing she could think was “Huh?”
When she didn’t say anything or move he slowly raised his head from her neck and looked deep within her eyes. After a moment he started smelling salt and he saw tears forming in her eyes.
“What’s wrong Koi?” he asked. “If you are unwilling just tell me, it’s ok”
All the while his beast was fighting to find out why she was unhappy and who it had to destroy to make it better.
Shaking her head she said “Nothings wrong Sesshomaru, I’m just surprised and I don’t know what to say. Can I think about it?”
“Of course” he said “Take whatever time you need” burying his head in her neck again
“I’d also like to visit home in the morning, can you take me to the well? I don’t know where it is from here.” She said softly, blushing at her lack of knowledge. She smiled and ran her fingers through his hair as she felt his nod against her skin.

The next morning at the well Sesshomaru found himself unwilling to let go of her hand that he had held all that morning, much to the disgust of Jaken and the amusement of all others at the Palace. His beast was crying out unintelligible words and growls at the possibility that she would not return to him. Did he go too fast or ask her too soon? He had to allay at least some of his and his beasts’ fears. As she walked away from him and sat on the wells edge getting ready to jump he called softly “Will you be still accompanying me to the ball in four days?”
She stopped and thought for a moment “Yes, I will be back here in three.”
She jumped through the well leaving a slightly less unhappy TaiYouki behind.

When she arrived home the shrine was quiet and seemed deserted of its usual patrons and worshippers. Thinking this weird she hurried to the house and just as she opened the door her mother pounced, hugging her and asking so many questions that Kagome couldn’t understand her. “Whoa mum, slow down, what’s wrong?”
“Oh Kagome, I’m so happy your alright. InuYasha came looking for you, thinking you had come home but you hadn’t and I was worried something had happened to you and where have you been?!” her mum started yelling at her at the end.
“Sorry mum, I didn’t think he’d come looking. I was at Sesshomaru’s palace trying to relax. You weren’t expecting me and I knew I wouldn’t get to relax here because InuYasha would be after me as soon as I got here. I honestly didn’t mean to make you worry.” She said hugging her mother.
“Why would Sesshomaru let you stay at his palace?” her mum asked.
“Well…” and Kagome told her mum everything that had happened from InuYasha wanting to bring Kikyo back to Sesshomaru essentially proposing to her, even mentioning the ball in four days that she needed to go back for. Her mum sat back amazed and a bit dazed. She then stunned her daughter by sitting up and saying happily “Well then, we need to find you a nice dress for this ball. We can do that tomorrow.” And started walking off, not even fazed by the other facts of the proposal or the revival of her pre-incarnation. Just as her mother reached the doorway she stopped and without turning asked one question that would keep Kagome awake all night. “When you close your eyes, who do you see?” she then walked away, not waiting for an answer.
At about 3am the next morning, after a sleepless night with her mothers question running through her head, she finally realized that it was Sesshomaru who she thought of, it always had been. She’d just knew she couldn’t have him and so she’d chased InuYasha for years aiming for second best because first place was unavailable.

The next day, after not having much sleep and then trying on almost every dress at the shop Kagome and her mother decided on a dress that wasn’t too modern but was still unusual enough for feudal Japan to make Kagome look exotic and would look good next to Sesshomaru’s usual white and red. When they got home Kagome started rushing around getting packed, she made sure the dress was packed carefully and told her mum “I’m off!”
Her mother said “I thought you were staying another night.”
“Yeah but….” She replied sheepishly “…do you mind if I go early?”
“Go ahead. Let me know how the ball goes when you get back next.” Her mother said with a huge grin as her daughter ran off “…And everything else.” she whispered to herself when Kagome was out of sight.

Suddenly he stood from where he had been sitting against the nearby tree. Sesshomaru could smell Kagome, and she was a day early. He went over to the well and saw her at the bottom starting to climb the vines to get out. He jumped in and jumped back out with her in his arms bridal style, her pack over his shoulder as he’d seen her carry it previously, and walked towards Edo.
“Sesshomaru…” Kagome said hesitantly “Can I invite Sango and the others to your ball?”
“Hn” he replied distractedly whilst surreptitiously smelling her scent which he found so addicting.
“Is that a yes or a no Hn?" She said puzzled
He heard her puzzlement and after replaying the last few seconds of the conversation said “You may invite them if you like.”
“Thank you Sesshomaru” she said happily before starting to trace the markings that were on his cheek so close to her head. He started contentedly growling as they continued to the village.
When they got there all was quiet, unless you counted the Inu Hanyou that was standing in the middle of the path yelling obscenities and threatening Sesshomaru for touching what was his, namely Kagome. Sesshomaru put Kagome down and just growled at InuYasha, daring him to try. The others were standing to the side ready to attack when Sesshomaru and Kagome appeared along the path, when they noticed Kagome not fighting and she didn’t seem injured they decided to back down and see what was going on.
After about five minutes Kagome had finally had enough of InuYasha’s mouth and yelled “Sit! InuYasha, I am not yours, you have Kikyo. Now stop yelling, I WAS going to invite you to a ball…” She turned to the others off to the side “Do you guys wanna come to a ball at Sesshomaru’s Palace later this week?” Sango and Miroku looked at each other and shrugged “Ok” they said “How do we get there and when is it?” Sesshomaru replied, after a final growl at InuYasha, “It’s in 2 days and it starts at Sunset. I will tell your neko how to get there.” And with that he walked off, ignoring InuYasha’s yells from his crater. Kagome looked at the smallest member of her group, “Shippo, do you wanna come? I don’t know if anyone else your age will be there or any Kitsunes but you can come if you like.” She said carefully, she loved him but she didn’t want him to come incase he got in trouble and she couldn’t help him.
“Nuh thanks Kagome, it sounds too boring. I think I’ll just stay here with Kaede” he replied after thinking about it a little.
“Ok Shippo” she replied, then, seeing Sesshomaru coming back from talking to Kilala, she said to them all “Ok, see you in a few days guys” at this InuYasha managed to jump up out of his crater and started yelling “I’m coming to this ball to. I don’t want HIM hurting any of MY pack.” He finished pointing a clawed finger at his older half-brother.
When Kagome started to object Sesshomaru said “Yes, half-breed, do come. Just pick up your lost manners on your way through” he finished as he picked up Kagome in his arms again and they disappeared into a ball of light and were gone.

Later that night, Sesshomaru walked into Kagome’s room at the palace and stopped, stunned. “Is that what you wear to bed every night?!” he said startled, he then started wondering if that’s what she was wearing under the cover the night before she left for home.
She looked down at her long striped cotton pants and white singlet and said “Yeah, why? Is there a hole in it somewhere?” she then began patting herself down and trying to see if there was a hole in her top or pants.
“No, there is no hole, I was just surprised…” he answered thinking he’d kill anyone else who saw her in something that form fitting. He then noticed a long bag hanging of the door to her dressing room and started wandering over to have a look; just before he got there Kagome suddenly appeared before him and stopped him from looking at the bag.
“You can’t see, it’s a surprise for the ball. My mum bought me a dress to wear and I want you to be surprised as well as everyone else.
“OK” he growled softly “As long as you do something for me” he finished
“What’s that?” she relied, curious.
“LAUGH” he yelled as he pounced, grabbed her and they collapsed on the bed, him tickling her.
“STOP! STOP!” she yelled through her laughter. He stopped and just lay there smirking slightly.
“Sesshomaru…” Kagome said softly once she had recovered “I’ve decided my answer to your question” She started blushing “I would be honored to mate to you. As long as you tell me what’s involved.”
He smiled slightly and pulled her into his lap so he could bury his nose into the crook of her neck, whilst there he softly asked “Are you sure Kagome? This can’t be undone and it’s for ever. You’ll have my lifespan and some of my strength and you’ll heal quicker, which will be good with the number of accidents you seem to have”
She hit him softly on the arm and said “I don’t have that many accidents and you only ever seem to be there when I do have one” she replied with a laugh.
“I will be there more now so I hope this is the case, I’d hate to have to save you all the time when you are with pup” he murmured from under her hair, where he’d moved his nose while she talked.
After a while of just sitting there, him turning her in his lap occasionally and burying his nose the whole time she asked “Umm…Sesshomaru, what are you doing?”
“I am learning your scent and quite enjoying it.” he replied slyly
Noticing a definite bulge beneath her she replied with a smile “…I can tell. Tell me about the mating?” she finished with a little nervousness in her voice.
“During sex my beast will emerge, do not be afraid of it, it will bite you here…” he said touching where her neck joined her shoulder “…and will then ingest a small amount of your blood. You will then do the same and we will be mated. My beast will not recede until the blood in you has started changing you slightly, this usually takes about 24 hours.” He softly stated, his youki noting she got less nervous as he explained.
“How exactly am I going to ingest your blood, I’m sure your beast will not allow you to be injured and I don’t think my teeth are sharp enough to bite you” she said with a slight laugh.
“Don’t worry about that now, if you can’t we will fix that then.” He said with a secretive smirk. “Do you still want to do this?” he asked, finally looking her in the eyes.
“Yes.” She replied firmly
“We will begin tonight” he said softly to her as he got up and left the room to begin the preparations.
