Reunited Worlds

Chapter Seven:

Inutaisha sat down in front of a small fire as she and her sister began to talk. "Have you caught any trace of them?"

"No. Not yet." Sessha replied. "I'm concerned that they may be growing in power if we can't sense them."

Inutaisha narrowed her eyes. "Don't worry, we won't allow them to get back to their full power. It won't happen sister."

"What would they want this time?"

"To get revenge of course. We defeated them and they have come back for revenge."

"Do you have a plan sister?"

"Not really." Inutaisha sighed. "But I tell you one thing, I will kill them again and this time they will remain dead."

"Do you think you might turn into your full demon form again?" Sessha questioned her.

"I hope so. I can kill them easier that way."

Sessha laughed at her sister. "I hope you can."

"Do you doubt me?"

"No sister. I don't. But don't rely on your demon form to kill them. After all, you need Kagoru with you to keep your head straight."

"True. I hope he is doing fine."

"He is sister. Don't worry about him. Your counterpart and mine will keep them safe."

Kagoru looked up at the sky as he noticed the stars coming out. His children were sleeping in his arms as the others talked quietly among themselves. "You don't have to worry Kagoru. Sessha and Inutaisha will be back soon." Kagome said as she sat beside him.

"I know, but I can't help to worry about them. Especially Inutaisha. I know she is strong, but I can't help to worry. I miss her so much."

"I know you do. I am sure she misses you. However, she is doing this to protect us and your children. We have to respect the fact that she knows what she is doing."

"We were talking about having another child. Can you believe it?"

"Don't you want more?"

"Of course I do. I didn't quite understand why she was being so dominating of late. Usually she lets me be in that position, but you can't change her nature."

Kagome laughed. "Nope. Inuyasha is exactly the same way. Of course he is a guy. But I do get where you are coming from. It is difficult for anyone to understand that someone who is like Inutaisha or Inuyasha can be so gentle one minute and then dominating the next."

"True. Inutaisha's claws can rip through bone and flesh and yet when she is with me she is the most gentlest being ever." He paused, "You know, I never fully understood why Inutaisha would get riled up about her lineage until she had our babies. I would never want my children to be called mutts."

"I think that it is hard for anyone to understand how hurtful it can be. Even to Inuyasha. He hates it when he is called a mutt or his lineage is made the topic of a discussion."

"I'm glad we talked Kagome. I'm feeling better now." Kagoru said as he smiled at her.

"Good. Now don't worry about Inutaisha. She can take care of herself. You get some rest."

"Alright." He replied as he watched Kagome leave and join Inuyasha around the fire. He looked back up at the stars and sighed. 'Be safe Inutaisha.'

Snap! Inutaisha shot up in the darkness. Her heart beat wildly as she listened for any other sounds. When a minute had passed without any more sounds being made she decided to get up and go to the nearest pool of water for a drink. She wiped at her eyes then glanced up at the full moon. Its light illuminated the pool.

She knelt on the ground and cupped her fingers in the water and lifted some water to drink. Her ears caught the sound of laughter. She stopped drinking. She knew that laughter. That evil, god awful laughter. She turned around and drew out Tetsuseiga, feeling a powerful protective emotion overcome her. "I know you are out there you bitch and bastard. Why don't you show yourself so I can make your death easy?"

The laughter continued until she noticed the glimmer of two pairs of crimson eyes. She jumped backward, almost falling back in the water. "Well, well. Inutaisha." Her name was spat out from Naruka's lips. "Last time I saw you, you were pregnant with your mutt children."

Inutaisha let out a loud growl. "You don't want to mess with my family bitch!"

"You think you will stop me this time, you pathetic little mutt."

"Bitch, you are a mutt too! Half-demon remember!" Inutaisha narrowed her eyes at them. She hated them, hated them a lot. "I'm going to kill you if you do not leave me alone you bitch."

"Oh shut up Inutaisha. You are such a loud mouth."

"Enough. Inutaisha, dear..." Naraku interrupted.

"First, no I am not your dear. Second, ew..."

Naraku rolled his eyes at her. "Two of us, one of you. Your sister is gone. Now you can cooperate or I can collar you forcefully."

"Collar me?" She laughed hysterically. "You have to be kidding me. You think I am a pet? You are not going to collar me. You can try but you aren't."

He laughed softly. "Dear Inutaisha. I will collar you and when I do, you will have to do whatever we want...even killing your friends."

Inutaisha glared at him. "You won't."

"I will." He said with a wicked smile displaying on his lips.

Inutaisha swept up Tetsuseiga and yelled, "Wind Scar!"

The light was so bright that Inutaisha shielded her eyes momentarily. She suddenly felt chains wrap around her arms as she struggled against them. She heard laughter in her ear. So close to her ears. She felt more chains wrap around her chest and upper body and squeeze her tightly. Pain entered her senses as she dropped Tetsuseiga and gritted her teeth. 'Bastard!' She thought before she felt something be put around her neck. Black surrounded her and she fell into darkness.
