Chapter 5: Expectations
Chapter Five
Expectations
Inuyasha stared at his father like he had grown a second head. He ceased his staring as he collected his thoughts.
"Do not worry, my child." Inu no Taichou smiled at him once again. "I hate pushing you into this and only if you do not want to do this, I will find another mate for Sesshoumaru."
Inuyasha's eyes snapped back into his father's. "Can I think about this?"
A strange smile flashed across Inu no Taichou's face. "Of course."
Inuyasha didn't like that look on his face one bit. It didn't bode anything good, he was sure of that. He got up from his seat and was on his way to the door until he remembered his question that he was supposed to ask. "Uum, Father?"
"Yes, son?"
Inuyasha let his fangs sink into his lower lip until he opened his mouth to ask, "How will I know who is my true mate?"
He had never heard his father laugh like Inu no Taichou did now. "Listen," his father said after he had calmed down. "There isn't one and only mate for any youkai. Only when your youki resonates with the other being's youki, you can mate them. It doesn't necessarily mean that you have to like that person. If your youki accepts them then there is no obstacle for you mating them."
Inuyasha nodded. "Thank you, Father," he said and left the study.
Inu no Taichou stared at the door for minutes after Inuyasha had left. He had a plan and he didn't care what Inuyasha thought about it. He knew he was being selfish but he wanted to get some alone time and the way things were nowadays it didn't allow him to have it as he was the Lord of the Western Lands. Besides being selfish, he wanted to see his sons happy. He wanted them to have something he had lost twice. He would make them have it even by force. Some times swift actions were the best ones.

Well, The thing is that actually those words are seperate Inu no Taichou and you can spell the word Taishou or Taichou.
In some English translations it is also spelled Taisho/Taicho but in reality the suffix of the word is -ou or -oo. So there is 4 different ways to spell the word; Taichou/Taichoo/Taishou/Taishoo.
