Chapter VI
Chapter 6
Sesshomaru saw the man standing over Kagome, blood dribbling down his lips and onto his chin. The being's eyes looked up when he approached, and he saw them widen in recognition.
Kagome....wasn't dead, he could still feel her heart beating in her chest. It had however, slowed down a great deal, and by scenting the air, he could tell that she had lost a great deal of blood.
His eyes turned red at seeing her condition, and he stepped forward with a purposeful menace about him, his hand on the hilt of Tokijin.
"What have you done to her?" Sesshomaru decided to ask, before he would kill this vermin.
"I made her my servant. We are now bound by blood oath. If you kill me, the same will happen to her." responded Amaru, noting the glint in his eyes. It appeared that the miko meant a great deal to this dog demon.
"Who are you?"
"I am called Amaru. Lord Sesshomaru, if you wish to save this girl, then meet me in my lair in the Western Mountians in three days. Come prepared to give up your lordship of the Central lands." said Amaru with a widening smirk on his face.
Sesshomaru's eyes narrowed, and without a second thought, he threw Tokijin towards the shrouded figure. The sword hit dead center in his chest, causing his eyes to widen in suprise.
On the ground, Kagome gasped, before her hands came to her chest, and she started writhing in pain.
Amaru smiled, before his body began to dissolve.
Then, from his body came a hoard of bats, hundreds of them, winging up into the night sky before taking off towards the Western lands.
Not being able to detect any other nearby threats, Sesshomaru walked over to where Kagome lay in pain, and placed his right hand upon her chest. The action seemed to have the effect of calming her, as she stopped writhing, and turned up to look at him.
Her mouth opened, she started to say something, but the words seemed not to come. Sesshomaru was about to tell her to rest when a single word finally came from those ruby lips.
"Va.....vampire..." croaked out Kagome, before falling into a deep slumber.
Sesshomaru did not recall the term. Perhaps it was something he should look up in his library. But that was after he got Kagome back to the village. Cradling the miko in his arms, he took off back towards the village, and safety.

She was in a dreamworld, no...more like a nightmare world. After the strange man had come, beat her senseless, then drank freely of her blood, Kagome had descended into a strange place.
She could see through the eyes of people, many people, all in strange places.
'Where am I? What's going on?' thought Kagome through the haze.
'You are seeing through the eyes of others like yourself.' came the reply, the voice oddly familiar.
'Who are you?' she thought. This person seemed to have the ability to read her mind.
'Your new master. Amaru.' the voice replied.
'Your not my master. You'll never be my master.' Kagome thought back defiantly.
'Perhaps not just yet. But once my blood fully takes hold in your system, your body will be under my command. And your spirit and soul will not be far behind.' responded Amaru.
'.....' Kagome was thoughtless at this point.
'Do not worry, the transition to becoming a vampire will be painful, but it will be over sooner than you think.' added Amaru.
'Transition...to vampire!' thought Kagome incredously.
'That's right. Soon you will crave the blood of other humans.' replied Amaru.
'Never. I would kill myself first!' backfired Kagome.
'You'll see. Now sleep, I command you.' ordered Amaru.
Kagome's reply was lost as her mind faded into blackness....

Sesshomaru arrived at the village, with Kagome wrapped up in his arms. The guards parted for him, and he headed to Kaede's healing hutt.
Miroku looked up when he entered, having tended to Sango's wounds. He gasped when he saw the condition that Kagome was in.
"What happened to her?" he inquired, concern gracing his eyes.
"She was attacked monk, while we were occupied by those wolves. I have no idea what manner of being did this to her, but she called him a....vampire." replied Sesshomaru, laying Kagome down on a bunk.
He proceeded to take her shirt and skirt off, revealing her underwear garments. Miroku looked at him blankly.
"What are you doing?" asked the monk, a bit of lechery entering into his mind.
*Sigh* "Checking her body for wounds. She seemed to have been beaten pretty badly by that...vampire." replied Sesshomaru, his voice going down a few decimals in the coldness range.
He rubbed his hands over her body, including her breasts and upper legs, checking her body for bruises or broken bones. Her stomach seemed to be badly bruised, and there was a trace of blood on her lips that may signify internal injuries.
To Sesshomaru's dismay, his beast seemed to take a liking to his feeling actions.
'Oh great...' he thought, before willing his beast to calm down. The last thing that she needed was a horny physician tending to her wounds.
She seemed to be ok, other than her stomach area. With nothing else to do, but wanting to talk to her when she awoke, he settled down into a nearby chair and waited....
