Sesshomaru Chooses

Chapter 7

When they got home Rin was so happy to see the both of them “I am so glad you are both safe and well” she said to them. Saisho just headed up to his room on the way he saw his father standing at his door. “I see you have returned” Sesshomaru said “yes father” Saisho replied, “is their something you need” he then asked. Sesshomaru looked at his eldest son “lord Coleshu and his daughter lady Sara are coming here in two days” Sesshomaru told him. “I see and I take it their not coming here for just a visit are they father” Saisho said. Sesshomaru just walked away, Saisho knew he wouldn’t get an answer.

Sesshomaru had entered his chambers and found Rin already in bed, “did you tell him” she asked, Sesshomaru just nodded. “I take it that he already knows why they are coming” Rin said, Sesshomaru got into a robe and hoped into bed with Rin. She looked at her loving mate “Sesshomaru do you think it is wise to allow lady Sara to stay here I am not sure that Saisho will be to pleased about it” Rin asked. “It is my decision if he likes it or not” Sesshomaru just told her and then fell asleep.

Two days later a small carriage had arrived in front of the castle, Sesshomaru, Rin, Saisho and Rihashi where waiting at the front stairs. The carriage door opened and out stepped lord Coleshu, he was a lot older than Sesshomaru. “Ah lord Sesshomaru it has been far to long” he said he then saw Rin and Sesshomaru’s two sons. “Lady Rin it is such a pleasure to finally meet you and my Sesshomaru your sons sure look a lot like you” he then said, “father” a small feminine voice came from the carriage.

A young demonness got out of the carriage, she had long blonde shinning hair and crystal green eyes. She was wearing such a lovely kimono and was very beautiful as well, however Saisho didn’t really pay much notice to her. He had never really thought a lot about woman and truthfully he never really cared for the species. Saisho knew one day he would have to claim a mate but he didn’t want to. He hated the thought of being bound to someone for the rest of his life.

“This is my daughter Sara” lord Coleshu said to them all, “Sara this is lord Sesshomaru and his mate lady Rin and their two sons master Saisho and Rihashi” he told his daughter. Sara bowed to them “it is very nice to meet you all” she said. Sara looked up and could see the displeased look on Saisho’s face. He was the one she had to get to know while she will be staying because her father and his have chosen her to be Saisho’s mate. Sara was very kind and gentle and she found Saisho very beautiful and attractive. Her heart was pounding so fast ‘have I fallen in love with him’ she thought to herself.

They walked into the castle and all headed towards the lounge room, once they had all seated lord Coleshu started a conversation. “So how long will my daughter be staying here” he asked “I would like if she would stay until I think it is necessary for her to go back home” Sesshomaru told him. “Well that is fine with me, is it alright with you Sara”, “yes father that will be alright” she replied. “Then it is settled I hope that you will take good care of her why she is here” he said, “do not worry lord Coleshu we will make sure she is happy here” Rin told him.

Once it had all been arranged Sara’s father left, “Saisho show lady Sara where her chambers are” Sesshomaru told his son. “Yes father, follow me” he said and Sara followed behind Saisho, she had learned that a lady should never walk in front of a high classed demon. They where walking for a few minutes and Sara really wanted to say something. “What is it” Saisho said, Sara was surprised ‘can he read people’s thoughts’ she asked herself in her mind. “Well I was wondering are you unhappy with me being here” she asked him. Saisho stopped “it was my fathers orders that you stay here not mine” he replied and started walking again.

Saisho soon stopped at a room which had two big white doors “this is were you will be staying” he told her. “Thank you” and she watched him walk away ‘I guess it will take some time to actually get to know him’ she thought to herself and then walked into her room.

Night time soon came and everyone was sitting at the dinning table for dinner. Sesshomaru and Rin where sitting next to each other at the end of the table. Rihashi was sitting on one side and Saisho was sitting on the other side with Sara sitting next to him. Of course that had been planned before dinner began, for Saisho and Sara to sit next to one another. Saisho already knew that when he saw an extra plate next to his. “So Sara I haven’t asked you yet but how was your trip here, safe I hope” Rin asked. “Yes it was fine thank you for asking lady Rin” Sara replied “oh please just call me Rin” she told Sara.

“So are you going to be my sister one day lady Sara” Rihashi asked, Sara nearly chocked on her food. “May I please be excused” Saisho asked before anyone could answer his little brothers question. “Of course” Rin said knowing Sesshomaru wouldn’t really care even if he didn’t say anything. Saisho stood up and left the dinning room and decided to go to his chambers. He walked onto his room balcony and looked out at the huge land. Over the years his father had never changed his mind about giving the title heir to his younger brother. Saisho had decided that when he was going to be lord he would do his very best to protect and rule the lands. He would never become selfish and use his power for corruptive reasons.

Their was a knock on his door but he just ignored it hoping who ever it was would leave. Unfortuantly the intruder just decided to walk in. “Saisho, HEY SAISHO” it was none other than Rihashi, Saisho walked back into his room staring angrily at his brother. “What the hell are you doing in my room” Saisho asked, he had never let Rihashi in his room. “I was knocking but you didn’t answer so I just let myself in” Rihashi said. Saisho didn’t really feel like arguing “what is it you want” he said walking over to his bed and sitting down. “Well I was just wondering, is lady Sara suppose to become your mate” Rihashi asked him. “Why are you asking me that”, “its just that since she came you look really uptight more than you usually are” Rihashi told him.

Saisho looked at his brother “get out” was all he said and laid down on his bed. Rihashi decided to leave his big brothers room without starting an argument.

The next morning Sesshomaru had told Rin that he and Jaken where going to patrol the areas for a few days. When ever he would go on one of his patrols he would leave Saisho in charge of everything. It allowed Saisho to learn what it is like to be a ruler, for one day he would become the new lord. Even though Sesshomaru has never said it he knew that Saisho would do a fine job ruling the western lands.

Rin and Sara where talking outside in the gardens, “so you planted all of these” Sara asked, “yes and it took me quite some time” Rin replied. “Their so beautiful, you must have put so much work into them” she said. “Let me ask you something Sara are you by any chance in love with Saisho” Rin asked. That one question surprised Sara quite a bit, how was she to answer that and a blush came up on her cheeks. “I am not sure but every time I see him my heart starts beating so fast” Sara said. Rin smiled “that my dear is what you call the first sign of love” Rin told her “the first sign” Sara was rather confused. “When I was young and traveling with Sesshomaru I had loved him as if he was my own father but when I got older something inside me started to change, every time I was around him my heart would beat so fast and I would always blush when he would look at me, at the time I dint know what it was so I asked a dear friend of mine, her name is Kagome when I told her she said to me that it is the first sign of love not the love that I had for Sesshomaru when I was a child but the love for that one person you want to spend the rest of your life with” Rin told her.

“Spend the rest of my life with, but it seems that Saisho doesn’t really want me here” Sara said “don’t worry about it, Saisho is one of those people who like to keep to themselves and not want to open up to anyone” Rin said to her. “That must be so lonely” Sara said “I thought that to once but its just who he is, you know I think he talks more to Rihashi than to me and Sesshomaru and Saisho and Rihashi haven’t really been the best of brothers” Rin replied. “Why is that if you don’t mind me asking” Sara asked “well I am not Saisho’s real mother but I am Rihashi’s, ever since Saisho was little he had never like Rihashi even now he doesn’t but even though Saisho says some pretty harsh things to Rihashi he is the only one that Saisho really actually talks to” Rin said.

Even though Sara had asked why Saisho and Rihashi didn’t get along she had not heard the complete story from Rin. It was not Rin’s place to tell Sara of Saisho’s past with his mother because if she did, Rin knew that Saisho would be very angry with her. They soon started talking about different things and hadn’t realized that Saisho wasn’t that far away from them hearing their conversation about him and Rihashi. He was glad that Rin hadn’t told everything to Sara other wise he would never forgive her. Saisho then walked of thinking that maybe a little training is in order.
