A/N part 1 As to the question of why she does not fly herself we have several reasons 1) Sesshomaru is Sesshomaru he would not allow it 2) she is new to the whole demon thing so every thing she does is instinctual no real training as of yet that will come 3) they are going to go announce their mating it looks better if they seem close, hope that answers that concern

Sesshomaru inwardly was proud to have this woman in his arms grasping onto him for dear life. True he did not know much about her but she had proved in their short time of being together that she was worthy of him. While she was with his half brother he only saw what Inuyasha had said about her, that she was a weak, ugly human woman who needed protection. How far from the truth that was.

He thought of the time in his father’s tomb the day he lost his arm. She showed him her inner strength standing up to him. True it was stupid but he had always held that moment in the recesses of his mind. It had taken him so long to regain the arm. Finally he met with an old witch that had promised to re-grow it for protection in his lands. He agreed and set her in a nice hut outside his own castle near the soldier village. It was a painful process one that he never wanted to go through again. Ever since that day he had been training hard to regain the power that was lost to him.

Looking back down to the miko he saw that she had fallen asleep against his shoulder. Inwardly he was smiling along with his beast. This was going to be the perfect match.

They had been flying for awhile now and the village was in sight. Carefully he shifted the sleeping girl in his tight hold so that her face was looking at his own. He moved a hand and placed it upon her cheek. Sweetly and softly he caressed it. Kagome’s eyes fluttered open to look into his own. A smile lit her face as she saw a small but noticeable change in the stoic mask he wore, it seemed a bit softer.

“We near the village I suggest you prepare yourself for the inevitable” Sesshomaru said looking into the silver eyes of his intended. “Will you tell him?” Kagome asked. “If you wish it” he replied. “Please it would sound much better coming from your mouth” she replied. “Then it will be done” Sesshomaru said.

Kagome turned in his arms and put up a mask like Sesshomaru’s. Slowly they began to descend to the small village inwardly she was shaking but her exterior showed only one emotion, ice. They touched down outside the huts and took off the cloaks that covered their kimonos. Sesshomaru gave Jaken Auh-uhn and took Kagome by the hand….

With the group of pissed off shard hunters….

“Inuyasha, where is Kagome?” Songo yelled at him. “I don’t know” Inuyasha yelled out. “Well she disappeared last night after she went to go look for you what did you do?” Songo was seething positioning her large boomerang above her head ready to smash the dog. Miroku came behind her and glared at the inu. “Now Inuyasha please answer the lovely Songo here or I can not stop her from hurting you” the monk said wanting to confirm his own thoughts. “What I do is my own business not yours” Inuyasha scoffed out and started to head to the woods suddenly stopping and drawing his fang.

Miroku and Songo looked at one another and knew what this meant…Sesshomaru.

Now with the other group….

Kagome could see her friends now, Songo and Miroku were looking at Inuyasha who was standing in battle stance brandishing the fabled blade. Shippo was looking directly at her and started to run towards her.

Kagome released Sesshomaru’s hand and opened her arms wide as her kit jumped and hugged her. “Oh momma I was so scared when you never came back last night, and Inuyasha yelled at me and hit me on the head cuss I yelled at him for being an Inu-baka…why are you a demon momma?” Shippo finally realized the change in his mother. Suddenly he shook in fear “momma what is lord Sesshomaru standing by you?” He asked trying to appear very small.

“Shippo my kit I am sorry I worried you now let me get to the others and I will explain all” Kagome said allowing a smile to grace her face before it fell back into its rightful icy exterior. She headed to the small group with Sesshomaru and his cohorts falling behind her.

Songo and Miroku ran to her and stopped when they saw the change in their friend. Inuyasha growled as his brother approached them.

“Kagome what happened to you?” Miroku asked taking in his friend’s new appearance. Songo looked at her friend in shock “I was so worried about you” she said and grasped her in a tight hug. “Oh you guys are too much” Kagome said and hugged Songo and Miroku to her along with Shippo. They broke apart when the clash of metal was heard.

Inuyasha and Sesshomaru had their two swords locked in battle, Inuyashas face was contorted in anger while his older brother’s was calm as ever.

“So little brother still have that temper I see” the stoic lord said while efficiently prying the sword from the young boys hands allowing it to fall harmlessly to the ground. “You bastard I’m going to kill you” Inuyasha yelled swiping his claws in the air while Sesshomaru held Inuyashas head so his arms could not reach the body he wanted so badly to destroy.

“Inuyasha, sit boy” Kagome said sending the half demon to the ground. Sesshomaru looked at his half brother buried in the ground. “It seems as though you have made her mad, why would that be dear brother?” He questioned. Although it seemed as though he was indifferent, inwardly he was laughing at the younger boy’s misfortune. Only muffled curse words could be heard before Inuyasha could pry himself from the dirt.

“I didn’t do….any….thing” Inuyasha stammered as he saw Kagome for the first time. God she was beautiful, even more so then Kikyou. “What happened to you?” he asked.

“Well, I have you to thank for it” Kagome smirked retreating back to Sesshomaru’s side. “You see while I was out I heard your little dealings with your new mate, and of course I was devastated beyond all repair. Your brother found me and took me to him home where I proceeded to wake and discovered the true power that I held with in me” Kagome said to the stunned group.

Inuyasha looked away as her words hit him. He had felt her but only thought it was his imagination. She had witnessed everything and turned to his brother for comfort. Red was beginning to creep into his eyes. Everyone noticed it and took steps away from him.

Songo retrieved his sword and threw it to Miroku who calmly walked to the enraged half demon and placed it in his hand. The red was pushed back and Inuyasha looked embarrassed once again for loosing his temper.

Miroku was the first to recover his wits. “Thank you Lord Sesshomaru for returning our friend to us in such a timely matter, we are truly indebted to you” he said with a low bow. “You are welcome monk but she will not be staying for long. I will be taking her with me back to my castle where at the end of the week she shall become my mate” Sesshomaru said his mask never once slipping.

“WHAT!” Inuyasha yelled face wide in shock....
