What the Hell...?

A/N: Important note, everyone. This fic…is a little sci-fi, if you think about it. It may seem a bit confusing, but hang on and keep up, ok? Its kinda hard to write and I’m doing my best, despite being sick, fatigued, and overworked/overstressed.

Thanks for the reviews and support, everybody! I would love to update more and do so everyday, but school and work wears me down and my brother is a computer hog. -.- Oh well, anywhos, enjoy!

Oh yeah, one last note...if anybody has any suggestions that just hits them, you know, let me know. This may be my story, but I don't mind putting in your twists and such. I'm just letting ya'll know, just in case you are kinda timid about telling me, k?

Disclaimer(s): I do not own nothing. I'm broke.

Shippou clung to InuTaishou's shoulders and yelped as father and son practically flew through the woods with determined intent.

Now and then, InuYasha glanced at his father and marveled at the sight of him and the power that InuTaishou had. The hanyou did not miss the resemblance that both his brother and himself looked very similar to InuTaishou. It was as if someone forced InuYasha and Sesshoumaru to fuse together and InuTaishou was the result of said fusion.

It felt so strange to look at his father, but it felt more strange and exhilarating to be side by side, like a family. At times he'd fantasized about InuTaishou, Izayoi, and himself being a family together. And sometimes, when he was particularly down, he'd include Sesshoumaru in his fraternal fantasies, only Sesshoumaru was friendly, loving, and happy.

The exact opposite of his dear homicidal half-brother.

"Hey! Guys, hey, slow down! I'm sure he'll be OK!" Shippou desperately clung to the great dog demon, his turquoise eyes big and wide, as if they would pop out of his eye sockets.

"No, no, he won't be. I know him..." InuTaishou paused as he dashed and continued, "I can feel his feelings. He's in distress somehow, and I'm not sure why. He might try to...kill himself again..."

'...Sesshoumaru? Kill himself? That's just as unlikely as my brother ever giving me a hug! But then again, this isn't exactly the same Sesshoumaru. He's different, somehow...' InuYasha thought frantically in response to InuTaishou's confession.

It was all so weird to the hanyou, since in the feudal era, InuYasha would *never* even consider helping Sesshoumaru. Although, this was not the feudal era. In his era, his father was dead and Sesshoumaru was an older, ruthless mercenary-like youkai that hated the hanyou's mere existence.

InuYasha then realized that he was so inclined to help find his brother because he strongly felt he had a real chance at a relationship that wasn't based on hatred at all.

For once in his miserable life, he would be accepted by his youkai brother.

Sesshoumaru, weary from so many things emotionally, mentally, and physically, walked slowly through the quiet woods. His breathing was short and raspy and he was immensely thirsty.

On any other given day, he would have been scared shitless of how his father would react to his running away, but today, he was just too damn downtrodden to give it any thought. In the back of his mind though, he knew he was in trouble.

'...I know he's going to find me sooner or later, but not out of concern. He's only going to look for me out of his moral sense of duty. I'm just his little burden he has to deal with until I become old enough to live life on my own...alone. What does it matter, anyway? I am alone. I deserve to be alone, especially for being a sick, twisted little pervert who wants his own father to...' Sesshoumaru thought, but came to a halt when he smelled a strange, yet familiar scent. He froze and looked around slowly.

A snicker.

"Well...if it isn't the son of the great lord InuTaishou. What are you doing out here, demon, all alone...and helpless? Aren't you supposed to be in school, little girl?" A twisted, yet commanding voice came out of nowhere.

"Whoever you are, my business is my concern. It is no concern of your own." Sesshoumaru spoke in a smooth, emotionless monotone. Even as he stood, his yellow eyes darted everywhere in search for the body that came with that...strange voice and scent.

"I live here." The man merely explained, as if it would explain everything.

"Very well. Forgive me for trespassing, if that is my charge."

"You must be the young Sesshoumaru. You look strikingly similar to your father, I must say. Its too bad, really, for you have much potential. Its hard to believe that such a beautiful face belongs to a demon, a male demon at that. But no matter. I could make an exception for you. Are you interested?" Lured the cold voice.

Sesshoumaru shivered involuntarily. "Interested in what? I don't even know who you are."

"I am Takemaru. I used to work with your father in the business he runs now...but things personally got out of hand. But that's old history, anyway..." The voice replied, and an attractive human man stepped forth from the shadows. He had dark eyes, long dark hair, and pallid skin. His body was muscular, but he was lean at the same time. Oddly enough, he was about the same height an InuTaishou himself.

"Takemaru. That name sounds familiar." Sesshoumaru spoke confidently, even though he was very uncomfortable in the presence of this dark man. His instincts told him not to trust this man and to get away from him.

"I'm sure it does. More importantly, though, little Sesshoumaru, I offer you something I don't offer just anybody. Its rare for anybody to get an offer like this from me. I hope you do understand that." Takemaru took some steps forward, to ensure they had about four or five feet of distance. He was tempted to move closer, but he did not want to scare the already frightened rabbit away. (1)

"Offer? What kind of offer?" Sesshoumaru's felt a cold sweat cover his ice-cold body. He didn't fail to notice that Takemaru appeared to be missing an arm. He briefly wondered what happened to his arm. (2)

"A partnership of sorts. You help me with my business, as a partner would, and I pay you handsomely. Of course, there is this school issue, which isn't a problem. I would only require your...service on the weekend, anyway." Takemaru explained, his lip curled into a little smirk.

"Why would I be interested in that? I don't care about money. Besides money, what do you have to offer me?" Sesshoumaru replied with ease, even though his heartbeat raced as if it were in a marathon. His heart rate sped up even more, if that were even possible, when Takemaru moved so close to him, too close for comfort.

"Because, my dear Sesshoumaru, I have everything to offer you." Takemaru caressed the side of Sesshoumaru's face with the tips of his fingers; a mockery of affection. "Do not give me your answer, yet. I want you to think on it. When you do decide, you may reach me with this number. Until then, sayonara, my little Sesshoumaru..." Takemaru slipped a piece of paper into Sesshoumaru's pocket. With one final caress, he disappeared back into the shadows whence he came.

Sesshoumaru sighed and stared at the eerie shadows. The uncomfortable feeling stayed in the pit of his stomach.

"Sesshoumaru?" InuTaishou slowed to a stop when he caught a glimpse of his son. He carefully walked over to Sesshoumaru and laid a hand on his shoulder.

InuYasha decided to stay somewhat away, so the two could talk privately. He didn't know why, but when his father touched Sesshoumaru, he felt angry and possessive.

The youkai boy did not look at his father even when a large hand laid itself on his shoulder. He felt a jolt of pleasure run through his cold body at the simple touch, yet he said nothing. He stared at the ground as if it were the most interesting thing in the world.

InuTaishou lifted Sesshoumaru's chin up with the tips of his fingers, so the boy would look at him. The boy looked at him, but he did not meet his father's eyes.

"Are you OK?" InuTaishou asked softly and resisted the desire to draw him into his arms, as if it would protect his pup.

"I'm fine." Sesshoumaru merely whispered. He didn't miss the way his father's eyes narrowed.

"He was here, wasn't he? Takemaru? I smell his scent. Did he do anything to you?!" InuTaishou grabbed Sesshoumaru by the shoulders and knelt over, his face mere inches away from the boy's.

"Yes, yes, he was here! He didn't do anything." Sesshoumaru replied hesitantly and he blushed like a school girl.

"He touched you, though. He touched your face." The inu youkai pointed out, for the scent of Takemaru still lingered on Sesshoumaru's face.

"It was nothing, father."

"I do not want him to touch you ever again, Sesshoumaru. I forbid you to speak to him, see him, or have any contact with that man! He only intends to use you for his own benefit and probably to get back at me for marrying the woman he loved. I do not want him to hurt you..."

"As you wish, father." Sesshoumaru bowed his head, his voice without emotion. ‘Your enemy is just like you, father. Do you not, too, want to use me for your own benefit?’

~*~*~*~*~*~

At the InuTaishou residence, the three youkai and a hanyou sat in the living room. Only three out of the four males were talking. Sesshoumaru was the silent one. He sat in an armchair, his legs together modestly and his hands folded in his lap. He stared at nothing in particular as he listened to his father and *brother* chatter. Shippou would generously add comments every chance he got to.

InuYasha and InuTaishou sat together, facing each other as they talked. InuYasha explained about his friends, his big bad brother Sesshoumaru, Naraku, and everything else about his past. InuTaishou listened intently to the hanyou; he felt such immense joy to see his son and to hear him speak. His grief over his dead wife and pup was momentarily forgotten because of this older InuYasha.

Sesshoumaru rose from his chair and silently left the living room. None of them noticed his absence and probably wouldn’t for a long while. He opened the kitchen window and nimbly leapt out to land onto the grass of the backyard. The troubled boy jumped the fence and walked down the sidewalk with his hands jammed into his pockets.

‘Well, father, you got your pride and joy back, at least. You look so happy to see him…but why, why do I feel as if I lost you once again? I know I’m being selfish, but I need you. I want you, but I can’t have you. Besides, I’ve never heard of a couple…who were father and son. Maybe it is wrong, after all…’ Sesshoumaru bitterly mused as he headed in the direction of no where in particular. He just felt like taking a walk.

The inu youth paid no attention to where he was going and eventually walked right into someone. His body collided with another body, which caused him to fall backwards towards the ground, ungracefully. He closed his eyes as he fell, but he didn’t hit the ground. Strong arms had caught him and they had lifted him upright. He opened his eyes to look into familiar crimson eyes.

"Well, hello there, Sesshoumaru. Its been awhile…" An attractive boy around Sesshoumaru’s age whispered into his ear. The boy was a youkai that bore long, wavy black hair that reached mid-thigh, crimson eyes, and very pale skin.

"Naraku. Thanks…for catching me." Sesshoumaru murmured, a rosy blush spread evenly on his usually porcelain complexion. Naraku’s body was very warm, almost hot, against his own and the spider youkai’s scent was more than pleasant.

"No problem. How are you? I haven’t seen you in school for awhile…due to, you know. I would say I’m sorry, but that’s cliché and its also something I’d hate to hear myself. What I will say, though, is that if you need someone to talk to…and if you need comfort, you can come to me." Naraku stared into Sesshoumaru’s golden eyes; his face mere inches from the inu youkai’s.

"I’m fine. Thank you, I appreciate it. Um, you can let me go now…" Sesshoumaru blushed, a little embarrassed at how he probably appeared to Naraku. He also was a bit aroused and overwhelmed by the close proximity of the other boy.

"Sesshoumaru, I know." Naraku simply stated after he released the dog demon.

"You know what?" Sesshoumaru didn’t show his confusion, but it was obvious in his voice.

"I know you watch me. I do not know why you do, but I am curious. At first, I thought I was paranoid, but after a of couple months, it became clear to me." Naraku revealed; he watched the other boy carefully with his slightly hooded red eyes.

Sesshoumaru looked away and mumbled something that even the kumo couldn’t hear.

"I’m sorry, I didn’t quite catch that. My hearing isn’t nearly as sharp as yours." Naraku tilted his head to the side and continued to observe his classmate.

"I like you. That’s all." Sesshoumaru admitted, his eyes cast away. He’d always had a hard time talking about his emotions, especially if it was very sensitive.

"Oh? You like me as a friend? So, you want to be my friend?" Naraku smiled, his smile sly, but charming.

"More." Sesshoumaru replied softly, his hands still trapped in his pockets.

"More what?"

"I like you…more than a friend."

"Ah, now we’re getting somewhere." Naraku purred. He reached for Sesshoumaru’s hand and brought it to his lips. He placed a soft, but affectionate kiss on the palm of his hand. The kumo youkai grinned when he heard the inu youkai’s breath hitch in his throat.

"W-what are you doing?" Sesshoumaru whispered; his heart beat furiously in his chest.

"Sesshoumaru, I like you. A lot. I want to touch you, I want to kiss you, but I will not do so without your consent, of course." Naraku confessed, his voice low and husky.

"Okay." Sesshoumaru whispered and he hoped he was not blushing like a school girl.

"Okay what?"

"You can…you have my…permission." Sesshoumaru’s heart beat wildly behind his ribcage. He felt light-headed and dizzy, as if he would pass out. He was grateful when warm arms enveloped his waist and pulled him close against an even warmer and harder body.

"It’s all right, don’t be scared, I won’t hurt you, baby…" Naraku nuzzled Sesshoumaru’s neck while his hands rubbed the silver-haired boy’s back to relax him. His lips traveled up the inu youkai’s neck until he reached his destination: Sesshoumaru’s full lips. The dark-haired boy pressed his lips softly against the inu’s lips. The silver-haired boy returned the kiss, for he was determined to participate. His snaked an arm around the kumo’s waist and his other hand slid into Naraku’s shirt.

Naraku, encouraged by this, cupped Sesshoumaru’s face with one hand and deepened the kiss. He wanted to taste more of the inu, so he demanded entrance with his tongue. The kumo was pleased when the inu youkai immediately opened his mouth. They kissed almost furiously, their tongues fought each other and the heat of their bodies rose.

Naraku’s free hand traveled down to cup Sesshoumaru’s tight ass. The inu pressed his body more firmly against the kumo’s, their arousal’s pressed against each other. The crimson-eyed bishounen slowly ground his hips against the inu’s as they fiercely devoured each other’s mouths.

Unfortunately, they both had to part for air; Naraku slipped his hand into the inu’s and led him into his rather dark house. Sesshoumaru panted like a dog as Naraku guided him into his dim-lit bedroom. Predictably, Naraku had black silk sheets on his full-sized bed. He gently pushed the inu onto the bed and crawled over him, his dark hair formed a curtain around them.

"I want you, Sesshoumaru. I want you so badly…"

"I’ve never…done this…before, Naraku…" Sesshoumaru, although very aroused, was a bit hesitant. This was the second time a seme male had had him on his back today.

"Sesshoumaru…let me make love to you. I want you…I want to be inside of you. I want to make you scream…I want to make you forget your pain…" Naraku whispered huskily, his lips ghosted down his long, slender neck to his collar bone.

‘Is this right? I mean, isn’t it right now that I’m going to be taken by Naraku and not my father? Funny…somehow, it doesn’t feel right to me and it…feels so unnatural, too…’ Sesshoumaru pondered while he felt more than he saw his shirt being torn open.

Young Sesshoumaru had no idea how much trouble he truly was in.

The door bell run a few times at the InuTaishou residence until someone was keen enough to get up and answer the door. Shippou raised his eyebrow and stared at the tall, dark-haired demon who had vivid red eyes.

"Oh, hello there. I was wondering if Sesshoumaru was in? Its been awhile since I’ve last seen him. I heard what happened…and well, yeah, you know what I mean…"

"Um, I think he’s in his room, Naraku. Let me check, ok?" Shippou left the door open and bounded up the stairs until he found Sesshoumaru’s room. He poked his head in the room, but there was no Sesshoumaru. The little kitsune, now impatient, bounded here and there, and everywhere, but he could not find Sesshoumaru. He went back to the front door and looked up at the attractive, but dark youkai.

"I can’t find him. He must have sneaked out, again…" Shippou scratched his head and shrugged.

"What’s this I hear? Sesshoumaru’s gone?" InuTaishou strode over and his golden eyes narrowed at the spider youkai. For some reason, he never did like Naraku.

"Hai! I can’t find him anywhere!" Shippou cried, tears poking at the corners of his eyes.

"Huh, let me guess…you all were having a grand old time…and you ignored Sessh, and you didn’t even notice him leave. Oh, how rich." Naraku replied sarcastically in a dark tone. He never liked InuTaishou much, either.

"NARAKU!" InuYasha spat and he stood beside his father. His hand was resting on the hilt of Tetsuseiga. For once, he was smart enough to wait before he launched into a senseless battle.

"Yes, that’s my name. Don’t wear it out. Now, who are you? You smell like InuTaishou…" Naraku’s eyebrow quirked up and he tilted his head to the side, curiously.

"I’m InuYasha, ya idiot! You know who I am! Now what did you do with Sesshoumaru?!" InuYasha growled as his hands shook with fury.

"InuYasha? Impossible. Little InuYasha died in a car crash with his mother! I came here to comfort my friend and you, some rude little stranger, waltz in here and accuse me of kidnapping Sesshoumaru?!" Naraku hissed, his eyes burned redder, if that were even possible.

"Guys, guys, calm down! InuYasha, this is Sesshoumaru’s friend! And this InuYasha came from some other weird world, Naraku. Its confusing, I know. I still don’t understand it myself!" Shippou cried, his little paws up in the air, pointed at both InuYasha and Naraku, as if he could stop them from tearing each other limb from limb. It was a really funny sight to see, actually.

"Sesshoumaru…?" InuTaishou stared past Naraku; his eyes were wide with confusion and shock.

"Naraku. I have found you at last. Die." Spoke a deep, rich, but emotionless baritone voice from behind the young spider youkai.

InuTaishou, without much thought, leapt at Naraku and pushed him down just in time to avoid a very lethal sword blow. The great inu youkai lord quickly got off of Naraku and pulled him up with him. InuTaishou jumped away, the spider youkai with him, to a more safer distance.

All eyes turned to stare at a very familiar looking dog demon.

Cold, yellow-gold eyes, which were slightly tinged red, glared icily back at them. Beautiful, long silver tresses blew elegantly in the air, which made him look more like a celestial god or something akin to that. His full lips were pulled into a tight frown and his right hand tightly gripped a strange-looking sword that glowed with an evil, crimson demonic aura. To add more to the very impressive, but intense picture, he wore youkai armor, a red and white kimono, and his fluffy adorned his shoulder and down his backside. Everything he wore together would have been out of place and would not match, but somehow, he made it wore. Somehow, it just looked damn good.

"This Sesshoumaru is most displeased. Why have you denied me my enemy’s death?"

I hope ya’ll aren’t too confused. -_-‘ If so, I’m sorry, but I’m doin’ my best! ^^"

Note(s):

(1) Takemaru was a human warlord/samurai of some type in the third InuYasha movie. He was in love with Izayoi, and he was deeply angered and hurt that Izayoi rejected him for a demon, but not just any demon, the great dog demon InuTaishou.

I actually liked his voice, though. He had a deep, arrogant, masculine British voice, which is funny because he's supposed to be a Japanese man. ((Sesshoumaru has a different voice in the movie, though. -.- Its not bad, but I prefer the voice he has in the series, ya know?))

And the bit of the scared rabbit is supposed to describe how Takemaru views Sesshoumaru as. You know how most view Sesshoumaru as this all powerful godly killing machine, yet Takemaru sees him nothing more than a cute, little scared rabbit that he can skin easily.

(2) Takemaru, ironically, lost his LEFT arm to InuTaishou. I find it ironic because Sesshoumaru lost his LEFT arm to InuYasha.
