The Future Through The Past

Chapter Six

Takara was sure she'd sprouted another head or she had a big boogie hanging out her nose. She fought the urge to wipe her face. For several seconds they just stared making her very nervous. Really was it that big a deal? Her mother had it, so now she did.

Inuyasha tooka step towards her glaring. Anger suddenly filled him. "You lie. There's no way you have the shard. The only way you could have gotten it was to...." Kagome! No, there was no way. He'd always assumed that she'd went home, the well had been sealed from the other side. Or had it simply stopped working because she was dead? Rage filled him at believing this girl had somehow killed Kagome twenty years ago then taken the shard. "You bitch, you'll die." He took a swing at her.

Her eyes widened, he was going to attack her! She tried to move back, but his claws raked her shoulder. A cry tore from her throat at the pain.

Kora tried to rush forward to help her friend but her father grabbed her waist. Obviously coming to the same conclusion as Inuyasha.

Takara fell back to land on her ass. "You asshole, you hurt me." She looked up to see him walking towards her, his claws were painted red from her blood. 'Great, I'm going to be killed by my own father. What the hell, had him and mom became enemies or something?' Fear filled her as he started to bring his claws down. Father or not she wasn't going to sit her and let him kill her. She rolled to the side at the last moment. His claws raked across the ground leaving several gashes.

Inuyasha turned to see her jumping to her feet. His view was suddenly blocked by his brother. "Get out of my way Sesshoumaru." He charged, he was going to kill her.

Sesshoumaru moved faster than he could blink. Inuyasha felt the fist connect with his jaw sending him into a tree. "Idiot."

Takara sighed in relief, at least everyone wasn't anxious for her to die. She should of stayed her ass at home. "Thank you."

Sesshoumaru walked up to the girl to make sure. He stopped directly in front of her sniffing and examining. "Why have you come?"

"Ummm, do you know me?"

"Not personally, but I know who you are. Unlike some I am aware of my opponent." He glanced around. "Where is she?"

Her eyes widened. How did he know who she was? Then she took the time to study him. He had the same color hair as her and the eyes. How come he had recognized the similiarities but her father hadn't. He did look like an idiot maybe that explained it. "It's a long story."

"I'm waiting."

"Ummm, where to start. Okay here goes, she got in an accident, she almost died, but she's alive, she's being stubborn for some reason and won't wake up." She blurted putting all her sentences together. "I was told about everything a few days ago, so I came here to try and get help. Did you get any of that?"

"Some." He eyed her and heard his brother storming over.

"What the hell is your problem Sesshoumaru step away or you'll die with her." Inuyasha drew Tetsusaiga.

Takara couldn't believe it, he really wanted to kill her. "Asshole. What did she ever see in him?"

"Silence Inuyasha." Sesshoumaru was quickly losing his patience with the hanyou. He was too hot-headed and it had only gotten worse over the past twenty years.

"Hn.. I'll be silent after I tear that bitch's head off."

"Oh, go sit on a dildo."

THUD!!!! He slammed into the ground. "What the fuck?"

Kouga let go of his daughter and suddenly appeared beside the girl. He let his eyes roam over her features and then her smell. Then it all made sense, no wonder the girl only had a small amount of youkai blood. "You son of a bitch, you touched Kagome didn't you?" Without waiting for the hanyou to answer he looked back at the girl. "Where is she?"

"Home, she's sick. I came to get help. I came to get him." Her eyes went to the silver hair sticking out the ground.

"She's needed here," Sesshoumaru stated. Everyday their number got smaller as more were killed. Seemed their only hope for a future was somewhere in that same future in need of help.

"I... don't know what to say. Cept my arm hurts dammit. I think I need to sit," THUD! "down. Who are you anyways?"

"I am Inuyasha's older brother. Let me see to that shoulder. The shirt has to come off," He stated.

She was almost embarassed then thought about it. That would make him her uncle right. She took her bag off, trying not to cause pain to herself. Placing it on the ground, she removed her tshirt without thinking twice. Gasps were heard all around. She looked down at her chest. What was the problem she had on a bra. Wasn't much different than walking around in a bikini. Not like it was lace or see through.

Sesshoumaru reached out to take a look, the cuts weren't deep. "It needs to be cleaned and bandaged." He turned to two of the wolf youkai, "You two go fetch me some hot water, rags and bandages. Bring them to my quarters." He picked the girl up by the waist. "Kouga bring her things with you." He took off leaving his brother buried in the ground.

Takara sat down on the chair as her 'Uncle' cleaned the scratches on her shoulder. She had to wince a couple times, he wasn't exactly gentle. The only thing that gave her hope was that she had found her father. She was trying to forget the fact that he tried to kill her. It wasn't like he was being asked to pay back childsupport.

"Tell me of your mother's condition." He was wrapping the shoulder up.

"The doctors don't know whats wrong, she just refuses to wake up. Thats all I know. Gran thought maybe he had something to do with it. She tried to come herself, the well wouldn't work."

"Then how are you here?"

"I don't know, it worked for me."

"We will leave for the well as soon as you are ready." He left the room.

She sat there for several minutes thinking. WE? What did he mean? She got up and walked out after him. She opened the door to find the others in the room talking to Sesshoumaru. She interrupted by demanding, "What do you mean we?"

"I'm not going anywhere until you tell me what the hell is going on. Who the hell is she? How the hell did she get Kagome's shard?" Inuyasha shouted.

"You are really stupid!" Takara shouted. "I think the floor has already figured it out by now. Kagome is my mother you fucking blockhead. I don't think I need to tell you who the sperm-donor was."

Kouga started laughing at the dumbfounded look on the hanyou's face. "Stupid mutt, think we all figured that part out in the forest. She's just lucky she doesn't smell as bad as you. Too bad she still stinks like dog."

"What did you say?" Did he just say she stunk? Okay maybe she hadn't taken a bath in a few days but she smelt better than his two friends. At least she knew what secret was. "At least I don't smell like a two week old jock strap."

"Enough, we will leave to head back to the well. We will see what condition the miko is in."

"What the hell is wrong with Kagome?"
