Our Rhythm...
A.N.: Sorry it's been so long guys. My car's engine blew and a lot of my attention was required to rectify to situation. Not to mention that my little brother's baseball games take some of my time; as does my guild on World of Warcraft. (He's such a badass pitcher! *proud grin*) But I'm back and I hope you forgive me enough to review when you're finished. Enjoy!
**Last Chapter**
Sesshomaru smiled to himself as Kagome's grip on him tightened every time he entered into a sharp turn. She was as fierce as ever, but still too stubborn to admit her own fear. He loved that about her. Chuckling lightly to himself, Sesshomaru leaned into the bike. The bright lights danced around them as they made their way to the club.
**On with the story**
Chapter 6
Our Rhythm...
Featuring: "Somewhere Only We Know" by Keane, and "Feelin This" by Blink 182.
The silver strands of Sesshomaru's silky mane brushed against the visor of Kagome's helmet. For a short moment the woman's mind was bombarded by bright flashes and images. Her demon prince standing before her, eyes hidden beneath heavy bangs as the moonlight caught the glowing crescent moon on his brow. His silky voice calling to her....recognition flared within her being. Desperately Kagome reached for understanding on why Sess would provoke such thoughts in her. His eyes and deep voice called to her on a level she had never experienced. The mysterious demon in her dreams flooded her mind as they raced down the crowded streets of Tokyo.
"I will find you..." He promised softly. The emptiness in her life waned momentarily as Kagome tightened her hold on the man before her. His presence soothed her withered heart.
The roar of the pulsing city was lost on the pair. Each rider lost in their own thoughts as the bright lights of Sesshomaru's club flashed in the distance. Sesshomaru frowned slightly as his inner youkai howled in delight at Kagome's embrace. It would take great reserve to keep such a powerful need in check while their evening progressed. He shook his head lightly and pulled the bike up to the inviting red carpet.
Velvet ropes rolled at the sides of the carpet; eager clubbers and curious onlookers clung to the royal blue material as various guests arrived in their own fashion. The head bouncer eyed the motorcycle warily as he made his way towards them. He froze in his tracks as Sesshomaru removed his helmet effortlessly and smoothed his hair. Gold eyes flashed arrogantly as they took in the scene before them; the surrounding crowd crying and roaring as recognition dawned on them. Kagome removed her helmet also and flipped her hair lightly. She let her gaze fall on the building before her with mild interest.
The heavy steel doors of the club were polished to reflect the life around them. Kagome noted the intricate forms of warring demons adorning the metal. A youkai of almost every breed was shown; each seeming to dance to the bloody music around them. The name of the club was lit in silver lights against an obsidian background.
"˜The Sakura's Blade...' Kagome read silently as Sesshomaru dismounted and tossed the keys to a valet. The boy stared dumbly on as the Taiyoukai turned and gently sweeping Kagome off the bike and set her down on the blue carpet. She blushed prettily and dropped her eyes from his piercing gaze.
Women in the crowd swooned as camera flashes lit up the club's entrance. The demoness held back as snarl as the jealous glares fell on her while lustful glances graced her escort. With a few cutting glares of her own the zealous hussies around them seemed to come to their senses.
"Good evening, Tashio-sama." The large bouncer bellowed as he approached the couple. His dark eyes sparkled with good humor as the lights bounced off his cleanly shaven head. The silver hoops in his ears clinked as he bowed low. His smile was genuine, wrinkles appearing in his tanned skin as he grinned. "I see you've brought a guest. May I inquire as to her name?"
"Kagome...my name is Kagome." The woman smiled brightly at the large man.
"This is Nikuro. He's head of my security here at The Sakura's Blade." Sesshomaru offered quickly, eager to enter the building and away from the blinding lights and ogling eyes around them.
"Mr. and Mrs. Wolf have arrived and are currently occupying a private section of the bar." Nikuro said as he turned to lead them into the club. Opening one of the heavy doors, Nikuro bowed slightly once more and smiled as they passed him. Kagome smiled at him once more as Sesshomaru nodded to him.
"It was good to meet you, Nikuro."
"It was a pleasure, Miss Kagome. I see that Tashio-sama is wise in both the world of business as he is in the choice of his companions." Nikuro said, his eyes lighting up once more at Sesshomaru's annoyed glare and Kagome's musical laughter and slight blush.
Sesshomaru nodded once more and gently lead Kagome through dark hallway towards the main room. Kagome gasped lightly as the gentle lighting of the hallway displayed the detailed painting that hung from the dark walls. She couldn't help but notice that every other painting held a similar woman. Dark tresses being blown in an unseen wind as her dark red kimono billowed around her pale form. A fluffy, black tail twisted behind her in a royal pose.
"˜A demoness....interesting.' Kagome thought to herself as they walked on in silence. A small frown tugged at her fair features as they paintings flew by. In each piece the woman's face was hidden from view. Shrugging off the strange sense of deja vu, Kagome returned her interest to the approaching light ahead of them. All the while through the walk, she had never noticed Sesshomaru's saddened expression as he watched observe the paintings.
"˜That spell did one hell of a job on her and the others.' Sesshomaru thought bitterly as he fought the flood of anger and hate deep within. It had been his first thought to kill Jaken after the hundreds of years of torture but fate had graced him with a more creative idea. A wicked smile played on the Inu youkai's lips as he walked on.
The dark hallway gradually began light up until finally giving way to a very large, shadowed room. Blue tinted lights gave the bar and dance floor a jazzy afterglow; quite contradictory to the current activities. Loud music pulsed through the air and the heat of the swaying bodies was a wall all its own. The dance floor was the brightest thing in the entire building. The glass covering gave view to the salt-water fish that swam beneath, oblivious to the dancers above them. The ice-like glare of the steel, bar top flashed blue in the rotating lights and the blue, silk cushioned bar stools swung silently as customers came and went seamlessly. Tables were placed sporadically around the edge of the dance floor and on various, curtained balconies. Vanilla-colored, Sakura candles rested as center pieces on the tables and along the bar.
Kagome finished her observation of the club and gave a satisfied grin; the club practically bled a dark sensual vibe. A pleased shiver raced up her spine as the scent of bliss rose around her from the circling dancers around her. Her job rarely gave her the time to get out and relax. What time she was allowed she spent with her kids and family. As of late, the precious personal time was slowly ebbing away. Larger projects were flooding her growing business and her attention had been required more often. There was also the advances of a young man for her heart that had taken some energy.
One of the many attorneys her company retained, Himoto Jatsui had been insistent on winning a date with her since the day they had first met. Kagome had been so flattered, she felt compelled to give in to one dinner. One became two and then two became eight. They had never considered it serious, just dates.
Kagome frowned upon recalling the first time she had introduced Himoto to her children; Shippo had taken a deep disliking to the man instantly. Rin remained civil but her bright smile made no appearance, and her beautiful eyes had darkened to the color of burned wood. Kagome asked both of them to explain themselves after their guest had left. He showed no anger toward the cold reception and she was grateful for that. Shippo simply scowled and left for his room, slamming the door as he settled into his bed. Her daughter held a very serious expression and her voice wavered slightly as she met Kagome's worried eyes.
*flashback*
"It doesn't feel right, mama. He's not like..." The girl had stopped and refused to continue.
"Like who, honey?" Kagome pushed, curious as ever to the young girl's sudden sullenness. Rin merely shook her head and offered a sad smile.
"Nevermind, mama. It's silly." Rin stood and made her way to her room, but turned in the hallway to face Kagome. It was obvious the girl had more on her mind than what she was speaking. "Sometimes I dream...I dream of what the perfect father would be like. That is...besides that parents me and Shippo knew. Is that strange, mama?"
"No..." Kagome managed to choke out, forcing herself to digest Rin's shocking words. "It's not strange or silly." Her curiosity got the best of her. "What is he like? The perfect dad...."
"I've never seen his eyes, but he's got really pretty hair that's the color of moonbeams and it's almost as long as yours, mama." Rin beamed as she spoke, oblivious to Kagome's paling complexion. "He's all in white like an angel but he's got a big fluffy tail! I had a bad dream where monsters were chasing me and he saved me!" Rin finished breathlessly, smiling as she spun around and opened her bedroom door. "You're in my dreams sometimes too, mama. You always look happy when you're with him; and me and Shippo are there too." The girl smiled again as she stepped into the dark room. "Goodnight, mama."
"Goodnight, Rin." Kagome whispered, too shocked to even move. She barely registered the noise as Rin slowly closed the bedroom door. Her mind chaotic with confusion as questions surfaced.
Apparently her prince hadn't been visiting just her dreams.
*End Flashback*
Regardless of the handsome man's charm and obvious affection for her, Kagome hadn't felt the spark she sought in a mate. There was something cold and distant in him. The dates only continued due to loneliness on Kagome's part. Himoto was a good friend in her eyes but would never be more. Eventually she would have to fully explain her feelings for him before he got carried away.
Now then there was Sess. Upon first setting eyes on the lone business giant, Kagome had felt a pull towards him. The attraction was undeniable, but then there was something else. She unknowingly tightened her grip on his hand as her thoughts continued. The Taiyoukai smiled lightly at the contact but remained silent. Both were rudely ripped from their reverie as the music level rose to a new pitch.
Both Kagome and Sesshomaru flinched as the both the level of the music and smell of those around them hit their senses full on. It took all of Sesshomaru's control to maintain his concealing spell, while Kagome's was only minor and required less focus. Gripping Kagome's small hand with grim determination, Sesshomaru glided through the sea of humanity to the darkened corner of the bar where Ellie and Kouga were said to have taken as their own.
With silent relief, Kagome noticed the music dulled as they continued onward and the crowd thinned considerably. Her dress was already beginning to cling to her in the dampness and heat of the room. Sesshomaru briefly glanced back at his companion to assure that she was indeed still with him and he wasn't stringing a complete stranger along. The mob was rough on occasion and it wasn't unusual to lose your partner on your way across the floor.
"Over here!" Kouga's smiling face caught their attention as he stood from a booth hidden in the darkest corner of the club.
"At least we found them." Kagome giggled as she spoke. She half expected for Sess to not have heard her due to the noise around them, but was pleasantly surprised when he answered back. A gentle heat came to her cheeks as he leaned down to her ear, his lips lightly brushing her earlobe. The odd tingling sensation returned to the mark on her neck.
"That obnoxious brute would grab anyone's attention." Sesshomaru whispered huskily; inwardly he was being torn into pieces by his self-control and the scent of his mate. "Shall we?" He straightened himself and nodded in the sitting couple's direction. He smirked lightly when Kagome merely nodded in agreement.
Approaching the table, Sesshomaru took Kagome's coat and noted how the silk had taken to her curves. Her skin took new life under the glow of blue, her long legs tied in ribbon. Self-control could be a real bitch sometimes..... A couple deep breaths and visions of Kaede naked helped keep the beast within under some level of control. A cold shudder ran down his spine as he fought to erase the now undying flashes of the old woman.
"˜Things that make you go....buhhhh.' He thought savagely as he handed the coats to a bartender and repressed another full-body shudder. The Western Lord turned at the precise moment to watch Kagome slide into the booth, her skirt catching and daring to ride higher up her creamy thighs. "˜For the love of KAMI!' Sesshomaru inwardly growled as he shook his head and sat at her side. "˜When this woman gets her memory back, I'm going to make her pay for wearing that dress...' He thought with smug satisfaction.
"I'm so glad you decided to come, Kagome!" Ellie grinned. She had caught Sesshomaru's inward battle and had to wrestle down the urge to laugh.
"It's nice to get out once in a while. I hope to be able to do it more often when I begin to hire on more personnel." Kagome answered back, a small smile on her lips.
She was having difficulties focusing on the conversation with Sesshomaru beside her. Every once in a while his arms would brush against her and all thought process would be terminated. The heat would return as well whenever those pools of molten gold would fall on her alone.
"All work and no play....be careful there, Kagome." Kouga teased as he slid out of the booth to retrieve drinks. "What can I get for everyone?"
"The usual for me, hun." The leopard demoness caught Kagome's inquiring gaze. "A glass of Magnolia wine in other words." Ellie chirped softly.
"Jack and coke." Sesshomaru growled out, still plotting the death of Kagome's favorite green dress.
"Water with lemon, please." Kagome felt her face redden further as their curious gazes fell fully on her. "I haven't been feeling well lately. I'd rather not tempt fate." She waved her arms in front of her as she spoke. Kouga shrugged and made his way to the bar.
"What's wrong?" Ellie asked, already knowing one possible reason for the illness.
"Upset stomach...can't seem to keep anything down these days." Kagome answered with a laugh.
She wasn't lying. Her body seemed to be rebelling against her as of late, and it was beginning to unnerve her. Kagome turned her eyes to Sesshomaru but found him to be lost in his own thoughts. There was also a strange, thoughtful look on Ellie's features as well.
"What's up with you two?" Kagome growled out, annoyed that there may be more to what was going on.
"Just thinking, Kagome." Ellie answered as the thoughtful look vanished completely. "Trying to think of what may be wrong with you, so that maybe I could help. I'm quite handy with herbs and remedies." Kagome simply nodded and glanced at Sesshomaru once more.
"You okay, Sess?" She whispered softly into his ear, her breath tickling his ear and neck.
"Huh? Oh!" Sesshomaru quickly nodded and offered a small smile. "I'm fine."
Ellie decided to curb the awkwardness by asking about Kagome's personal life. The Hellhound demoness spoke with great enthusiasm of her friends and loved ones, especially her children. Kouga returned with the drinks and remained silent as Kagome spoke, preferring to focus on his beer rather than news of Inu-Trasha. Mixed emotions rose at the table as the tale went on. The past two years of their friend's life was a total lie and soon she would know it. A sadness rose in Kagome's companions when she spoke of Inuyasha and the others; hopefully their memories would be restored as well when the time came. When the woman had finished the group laughed and complimented on how nice it all seemed, but inwardly they cringed.
"Let's dance, Sex Kitten!" Kouga bellowed, eager to break the sullen mood. His mate nodded quickly and followed him out of the booth after giving Kagome a quick smile. A silence prevailed at the table for a short time before Sesshomaru cleared his throat.
"You didn't mention if you were seeing anyone. No time for romance in the film industry?" Sesshomaru murmured as he fought the lump in his throat.
"Well..." Kagome sighed heavily before continuing. "I've been dating someone but I don't think it's serious. The kids don't care for him." She laughed slightly at the last part.
"I see..." The deep voice had become clouded once more in a dark way that sent heat through every limb of Kagome's body. The silence returned but it was Kagome's turn to speak first this time around.
"How long has it been since your wife passed away?" Her voice hitched slightly and her mouth felt like it had been filled with cotton.
"Seems like centuries have passed..." Sesshomaru whispered as he let his eyes fall on Kagome's throat and the pendant that lay there. He blinked back the uncomfortable twinge that rose in his chest. "It happened quite a while ago, but it still hurts sometimes." Sesshomaru smiled lightly at her to try to assure her.
"I'm sorry for your loss."
"Don't be." The words were clipped but gentle.
Kagome shifted in her seat and watched the swaying bodies of the dance floor with mild interest while Sesshomaru nursed his drink. He glanced at her briefly and downed the liquid courage easily before standing up and offering her a hand.
"Dance with me?" His eyes bore into her as Kagome chewed her lip in thought. She eyed the dancers once more before flashing him a smile.
"I'd love to." Kagome breathed as she took his hand and stood. Just as they entered the floor, a voice rose above the music. All eyes fell on the DJ booth on a balcony above the dance floor.
"Alright, kiddies. Time to slow things down a bit and take a breather, but don't worry "˜cause we will pick things right back up afterwards!" The DJ switched off the mike and flipped a few other switches while ignoring the groans of protest from the crowd. The gentle sound of the piano filled the room and the dancers slowed.
I walked across an empty land
I knew the pathway like the back of my hand
Despite the change in tune, Sesshomaru gently pulled Kagome to him. She quickly recovered herself and placed and hand on his shoulder while his went to her hip. The other hands clasped as they began to sway to the soft melody.
I felt the earth beneath my feet
Sat by the river and it made me complete
Hearts began to race as their eyes locked and held, the music guided them into their own private world. Subconsciously Sesshomaru pulled Kagome closer to him, his eyes never leaving hers. A growl rose in his throat as her small, pink tongue darted out to moisten her lips.
Oh simple thing
where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
Before she could check the motion, Kagome leaned in and rested her head against Sesshomaru's chest and closed her eyes. Without a shadow of a doubt Kagome knew there was something special about the sad man that held her close. She smiled lightly when he shifted and wrapped both arms around her waist, leaving her to raise her other hand to fall on his other shoulder. A deep breath had her lost in his strange yet oh so familiar scent.
So tell me when
you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
"Thunderstorms....thunderstorms and the great forests." Kagome whispered softly into the silk-clad muscle of Sesshomaru's chest. Everything was becoming so confusing.
I came across a fallen tree
I felt the branches of it looking at me
Himoko had been chasing after her for months and yet here she stood, dancing the night away in the arms of a man she had just met that morning. There was a definite lack of words between them as well! The Western Lord's lips against the crown of her head once again derailed her train of thought. Sesshomaru nuzzled her head lightly, almost afraid to breath because she might disappear. His hands danced across bare back and he smiled as the small woman shivered in reaction. Blue haze held them close while flesh glided around them in a twisting maze.
Is this the place we used to love?
Is this the place that I've been dreaming of?
Kouga and Ellie watched on in silent amusement and celebration as the pair entwined limbs. The Southern Lord and Lady smiled lightly as they continued with their own dance, feeling the 500 years of sorrow slowly begin to fade.
Oh simple thing
where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
"Kagome..." Sesshomaru whispered into the softness of her hair, the years of loss and need began to tear and pull at him. Control was an issue once more. Kami how he had missed her! He missed all of them...even his dumbass, now human, half-brother. Kagome's head fell back and dark eyes steadily fell on his own. Sesshomaru felt his lips part in a silent gasp upon reading the fire in her eyes; a fire he had not seen in five centuries, and haunted the Taiyoukai's very dreams.
So tell me when
you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
A shiver raced up the demoness's spine as Sesshomaru's fingertips danced across the skin. How should she feel about this? She had just met the man and it seemed as if they had known each other for years. At this point in time....she honestly didn't care! The blind emptiness of her soul felt whole in his arms and such comfort would be worth an eternity in the depths of hell. All she could wish for was this moment. With this man holding her as he was......prayers for the world to freeze and hold the moment fell on empty air. A shaken breath hitched in her chest as she met his wanting gaze with her own. "˜Kami....those eyes.....those eyes.....' Words fell from her lips before she could even register their meaning.
And if you have a minute
why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
"Western sunset...." Kagome whispered almost desperately. She regained her thought process upon noticing that Sesshomaru's eyes widened considerably. "Your eyes....that's what they remind me of. I don't know why, but they do." Regret entered her heart momentarily upon seeing a tormented flash in the gold orbs. The feeling quickly dissolved as Sesshomaru ceased their movements and moved a hand to cup her delicate cheek in an openly loving manner.
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?
The grip on his heart tightened and pulled upon hearing her words. Kagome had made such a comment on his eyes during their courtship and the renewed observation was almost too much. Sesshomaru noticed that she moved to comfort him but he silenced her with a slow shake of his head as his thumb stroked her jaw and lips. Ignoring the life-forms surrounding them and Kouga's warning, Sesshomaru slowly began to lower his head towards Kagome. A sigh of relief almost escaped him when Kagome leaned up into his path rather than shying away.
Oh simple thing where have you gone
I'm getting old and I need something to rely on
A punch to the face would not have shook Kouga from the sheer look of awestruck as he and Ellie watched on. Of all things to happen this evening, this was not one of them. Sure...maybe Kagome would begin to remember bits and pieces, but her strong reaction to Sesshomaru was downright overwhelming. Ellie felt the sting of tears as she looked on at her friends, joy welling up within her heart. She had missed her friend dearly and to see such a display was as if Kagome had never disappeared to begin with.
So tell me when you're gonna let me in
I'm getting tired and I need somewhere to begin
Reality was torn from Kagome as Sesshomaru's lips claimed her own in a chaste kiss. Visions of features and silk rose behind closed eyelids as the kiss deepened. The woman gasped lightly as a rough tongue grazed her bottom lip. Her dance partner promptly took advantage of her befuddled state of mind and began to explore the inner details of her mouth. Not to be one to just roll over, Kagome quickly met his teasing tongue with her own; plunging, tasting, and reaching for the same unnamed goal and plane of heaven. A flash of heat rose in the demoness's belly as a heavy groan escaped Sesshomaru. Neither noticed Kagome's mark grow more pronounced as their embrace continued.
And if you have a minute
why don't we go
Talk about it somewhere only we know?
Sesshomaru met his groan with a low growl as Kagome's fingers became tangled in his hair, massaging his scalp softly. It was fortunate for him that the woman was far too entranced in his kisses and roaming hands to notice the noise of satisfaction. Considering the five hundred years of celibacy, he was doing rather well in terms of control. A wicked smirk tugged at his lips and probably would have been both dashing and frightening if his mouth hadn't been so preoccupied.
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?
Kagome fought the groan of disappointment when his lips slowly left hers, but her eyes remained closed as he nuzzled her cheek and ear. His breath came hot, heavy, and inviting in her ear. She barely noticed when the song came to an end and dancers around them began to take notice of their present position.
This could be the end of everything
So why don't we go
Somewhere only we know?
"Please tell me this is real....tell me this isn't a dream." Sesshomaru seemed to be directing the question more to himself rather than the goddess in his arms. He drew back to lock eyes with her in hopes of monitoring her reaction. "Tell me that felt as right to you as it did to me." Her hesitation was making him nervous beyond what he felt possible.
"Sess....I...." Kagome wondered why her mouth had suddenly become so dry.
The kiss had been beyond phenomenal and the pull she felt towards her companion was now undeniable. The chemistry was border lining frightening in her book. Sesshomaru's expression was quickly beginning to alter to one of subdued panic, so she quickly fought to use the correct words.
"I have never felt anything like what I'm feeling with you, and quite frankly it scares me. I mean..." Her voice faltered slightly. "I mean you show up out of nowhere and now here we are in each other's arms." Kagome lowered her eyes and gently pushed against his firm chest in a weak attempt to free herself from his intoxicating aura.
"Don't be afraid of this, Kagome. I beg of you not to turn from me." Sesshomaru whispered in guilded desperation as he pulled her back to him. He'd be damned if after five hundred years of waiting he would simply let her walk away. "Where's the fierce creature I met?" The challenge did not go unanswered; Kagome's eyes instantly snapped to his and held him in an inferno all her own.
"I told you once, Sess." A smirk grew on her ravaged lips as she held his gaze evenly. "I don't scare that easily..."
Smiling dangerously, Sesshomaru led the confused woman from the dance floor and towards a set of blue carpeted stairs. Raising an eyebrow in silent inquiry, Kagome let him lead her down the dark hall and onto a canopied balcony. It was above the dance floor, across from the DJ booth, but was dark enough to ensure a certain level of privacy.
"That dog! This is certainly taking less time than what we originally anticipated..." Kouga barked out as he fought the chuckle rising within. His mate playfully slugged his arm before returning her gaze to the disappearing couple.
"It's not over yet, my love. Don't get too excited." Was her calm reply as a smile tugged at the corners of her pink lips.
Sliding gracefully into the wide booth, Kagome straightened out her dress and looked out into the sea of dancers and dodging waitresses. Her breath began to quicken again as Sesshomaru slid in beside her and slipped an arm around her waist. It was obvious he was watching her from time to time, but Kagome felt compelled to keep her attention on the floor. A small squeal of delight erupted in her as a familiar song pumped through the many speakers around them.
I got no regret right now
(I'm feeling this)
The air is so cold and numb
(I'm feeling this)
Sesshomaru openly smiled at her expression of joy and he humored her by tilting his head lightly, allowing the music to take him away to where she thrived. The interesting move was not lost on Kagome and she smiled lightly at the peaceful expression on his handsome face. The awkwardness of the earlier moments was gone and suddenly replaced by the urge to taste his lips once more. The man was already a drug to her and only after one taste.
Let me go in her room
(I'm feeling this)
I wanna take off her clothes
(I'm feeling this)
The crowd below had begun to rise and fall with the beat of the music; a new chaos spread across the floor in heated passion to the lyrics. Kouga and Ellie had retreated to their original table to seek safe refuge. Moshing and jumping just wasn't their particular area and thought better to leave it to the veterans. It was kind of amusing how quickly the crowd could change at the drop of a hat. The amused couple refrained from laughing out loud as a rookie crowd-surfer came crashing down unto the bar floor in an undignified heap. (A.N.: Seriously! I saw it happen to some kid and I laughed my ass off! I felt bad for him, but it was classic. It finally occured to me later on to ask him if he was okay when I slammed against him in the mosh pit. ~_0)
Show me the way to bed
(I'm feeling this)
Show me the way you move
(I'm feeling this)
"Sess...." Kagome turned to face the silent man fully, nervously chewing her lip. She was seriously beginning to doubt her morals concerning the whole situation.
Fucking is such a blur
(I'm feeling this)
I love all the things you do
This man was not only a complete stranger but a client to boot! Kagome mentally groaned as the full weight of her actions landed on her shoulders. Sure he had brilliant eyes, sexy voice, one smoldering body, and a feisty spirit....(another mental groan) okay, that hadn't helped the situation. And for unseen reason, Kagome found she was having serious issues keeping her hands off of him and her mind out of the gutter. She almost jumped when she broke her thoughts and acknowledged his piercing gaze.
Fate fell short this time
Your smile fades in the summer
Place your hand in mine
I'll leave when I wanna
"I'm not sure if what we're doing is such a good..." The demoness was quickly silenced when Sesshomaru leaned forward and crushed his lips against hers. The kiss was demanding and hungry, the unyielding version of the passion she had felt on the dance floor.
Where do we go from here?
Turn all the lights down now
The Inu youkai had held back to the best of his ability, but upon hearing her doubt he felt compelled to persuade her otherwise. He would not let the love of his eternal life feel any regret or hesitation where he was concerned. Pulling her flush against him and swinging her legs unto his lap, he gently kneaded her lower back through the silk material. At first Kagome was shocked at his aggressiveness, but felt her eyes close as she slowly surrendered.
Smiling from ear to ear
(I'm feeling this)
Our breathing has got too loud
(I'm feeling this)
Through the haze that currently occupied her mind, Kagome heard a voice call out to her in earnestness. She fought to listen while Sesshomaru rocked her senses with his mouth and hands once more.
Show me the bedroom floor
(I'm feeling this)
Show me the bathroom mirror
(I'm feeling this)
"Give in, Kagome." The voice seemed to be her own, but that seemed impossible. "Let yourself go...."
We're taking this way too slow
(I'm feeling this)
Take me away from here
(I'm feeling this)
Sesshomaru groaned in bliss as Kagome pulled him closer until she was sitting on his lap. Breaths became pants, each one heating the flesh where it made contact. Kagome moaned loudly into Sesshomaru's mouth as his free hand traveled to dance along the naked flesh of her thighs and knees. A trail of fire tracing where his fingertips landed.
This place was never the same again
After you came and went
How can you say you meant anything different
To anyone standing alone
"You were saying, Kagome?" Sesshomaru's voice had grown husky with need. "Did you not wish to continue?" He already knew what she wanted, but thought it wise to ask and confirm.
"Please, Sess. I don't care anymore...." Kagome hissed as her heart raced. "I just want to be here...with you." All she knew is that she wanted this with every bit of her soul. She had to have whatever he would give! A happy sigh escaped her as he brought her into another bruising kiss.
On the street with a cigarette
On the first night we met
Look to the past
And remember her smile
Sesshomaru felt like soaring at her confession. He fought the possessive growl rising in his chest as he nipped at her bottom lip, and moved her to straddle his lap. The dress complied thanks to the slit in the right side, and Kagome was more than happy to allow the shift in position. Her head fell back in surrender as he nipped and licked at her jaw, ears, and neck. Each scrape and bite turning her insides to liquid fire. Sesshomaru's tireless efforts were rewarded as the writhing woman in his lap collected enough thought to undo the buttons on his shirt, and work the flimsy garment off of his broad shoulders.
And maybe tonight
I can breathe for awhile
I'm not in the seat
I think I'm fallin' asleep
Pleasure raced through her as Kagome caressed Sesshomaru's bare skin. She watched in fascination as his muscled rippled and jumped beneath her light touches. Fierce heat pulsed from his flesh as she dragged her nails across his shoulders and collerbone. The man beneath her shivered and groaned at her touch, bringing a smile to her lips. Sesshomaru continued to kiss her jaw and neck until he reached the pulsing mark at the apex of her neck and shoulder. Unbeknownst to him, his concealment spell slowly began to ebb away as the beast within howled in delight.
But then all that it means is
I'll always be dreaming of you
Grasping the back of her neck with one hand and crushing her to him by placing the other arm around her waist, Sesshomaru growled softly while lowering his lips to the mark. The sensation of his lips on the scar made his mate arch into him, but when his rough tongue made a pass over it, Kagome's nails dug into his shoulders as she held herself in check. White flashing behind her eyes as he nipped and licked the sensitive skin. The Taiyoukai kept his lustful laughter subdued as he felt her move and moan against him. Only he could make her feel this way. One especially rough lick sent Kagome into another place....suddenly images began to flood her lustful mind.
Fate fell short this time
Your smile fades in the summer
Her prince was before her but she could see his eyes....gold. Everything seemed to freeze as the images progressed. Sess in white with armor and a sword. Sess holding her on a balcony in a great castle while the stars shined only for them. Sess's sleeping face...his lips curled in a gentle smile. Others suddenly invaded her mind. Her good friend, Inuyasha, with silver hair and dressed in red while brandishing a great sword. Kikyo wandering the barren earth while spirits twisted around her cold, dead form. Sango locked in the heat of battle while Miroku revealed a black hole in the palm of his hand. What were these images?! Nothing made sense! Kouga and Ellie sitting beneath a tree in a great garden, but they were demons! An evil hanyou leering at her as she held a bright glowing orb to her chest.
Place your hand in mine
I'll leave when I wanna
Kagome broke the kiss with a surprised gasp, her eyes wide in confusion. The Western Lord ceased his ministrations and held her close as her eyes fought to focus on him. Finally willing the room to stop spinning, Kagome looked upon the man who held her. Her mouth fell open in a silent cry as she took in his true form. The surprised expression confused the Inu youkai until he caught a glimpse of his own clawed hand as it cradled the woman to him. His eyes darted back to hers in a light panic as her mouth fell open once more.
The demon had little time to react when her hands came up to cup each side of his face. Kagome's eyes held unshed tears and chaos reflected in the dark pools. Her voice came only as a whisper.
"Sess.....Sesshomaru?" The tone was almost pleading and the demon felt his heart stop as the name reached him. He almost didn't have enough sense to catch her as she fell against him in a dead faint.

Show me the way you move

*maniac laughter* I'm soooooooooo tired!!! *grin* I know I sped it up a bit but I honestly don't care. I still have a LOT to cover in this story and I don't want it to drag on forever. For the record...Kagome has only received part of her memory and she doesn't understand a lot of it so she's not exactly back on her feet. Next chapter she discovers she's pregnant. DON'T FORGET TO REVIEW!!!!! It's gettin depressing! *sigh* Hope you guys liked it! See ya later! Cheers! "“ G.S.
