Chapter 6

Inuyasha scanned the area he knew his brother was somewhere in the forest.
“Damn I don’t have time for this! I need to get back to Kagome.” He growled.
“Sesshoumaru! Get your ass out here!” He began yelling.


Sesshoumaru did not hesitate to respond and with his quick demonic speed he was in his face, claws extended ready to slash up his brother. Inuyasha quickly jumped back before his brother sliced his chest.


Sesshoumaru was the Lord of the Western lands he was very regal. He was about 6ft, long silver hair, golden eyes he had two violet slashes on both sides of his cheeks and a crescent moon on his forehead. He had a white robe, white pants and a long white fluffy boa that wrapped from his shoulder around his body. He has poison in his right claws and when he wanted to could also form an energy whip out of his two claws. He carried two swords, Toukijin and Tenseiga. Nevertheless, the only sword he ever wanted to wield was Tetsusaiga and his father left it to that worthless half-breed of a brother.


Miroku and Shippo gathered the flowers that they needed and carefully wrapped them in a cloth and headed back to Sango.

“Damn where is Inuyasha! What is taking him so long? Sango thought.

She watched Shippo and Miroku approach her. “Kagome is not doing good.” Sango said looking up at Miroku.

Shippo jumped in Kagome’s lap and curled up. Kagome started petting his head, just to reassure him that she was ok. However, she was not ok she felt as if her body was on fire and started to feel dizzy. Then the darkness came and fell over on the ground. Her body went limp. “Kilala!” Sango yelled.

Kilala got up and immediately transformed and run over to Sango. Shippo jumped off Kagome’s lap, ran over to Miroku, and jumped on to his shoulder.
“We have to go find water.” She calmly stated to Miroku.

He went over to the unconscious girl and picked her up. Sango grabbed her Hiraikostu then mounted Kilala. Miroku also mounted the big cat still holding the sleeping priestess. As she was running through the forest, with one giant leap she became airborne. The fire on her feet was fierce, because of the energy she was using to hold her heavy load. She started to growl and changed her direction. She caught the sent of Inuyasha.

Inuyasha was in a fierce battle with his brother, covered with each other’s blood. Inuyasha had tried to draw out his sword only to have it knocked out his hands by Sesshoumaru. He could feel his body shake with utter exhaustion, it would not be long before his brother was victorious. “I have to be strong for Kagome, I have to survive so I could hold her love her be with her.” He growled under his breath.

”What did you say whelp.” Sesshoumaru said with a cold look on his face.

“None of your fucking business fluffy!” Inuyasha yelled!

Sesshoumaru went to charge at him again, this time however, he was thrown back into a nearby tree.

“Hiraikostu!” Sango screamed letting her giant boomerang go rendering the demon lord unconscious.

They dismounted of the fire cat. Miroku laid Kagome next to Inuyasha and walked to the nearby demon lord, making sure there would be no surprise attacks he carefully put his hand up in a defending position. He would use his wind tunnel if necessary. Inuyasha despite of his wounds went over to Kagome.

“Inuyasha she needs to go into the lake she has a very high fever, and we need to bring it down.” Sango said.

With out any hesitation Inuyasha threw off his robe and his sheath then picked up Kagome and started to walk into the lake. He lowered her down in the ice cold water and started cupping his hand to let the water go over her face. When he could feel her body temperature cooling down; he started to walk out of the lake and go over where Sango and Shippo built a fire.

“Turn around boys and no peeking or your going to get it!” Sango demanded.
When she was satisfied there would be no peeking, she started undressing Kagome and placing her in Inuyasha’s Robe. “Inuyasha place her over next to Kilala, so we can take care of your brother.”

Sesshoumaru regained conciseness although still a bit disoriented. “What the hell!” He growled.

“We don’t want any trouble here my Lord, please go from here and deal with your brother another day.” Being a monk of course, he wanted no violence, but he was not going to take any chances either.

Sesshoumaru sniffed the air, he caught the sent of sickness, mingled with wolf. “What happened to the girl?” He calmly spoke.

“Why do you care brother?” Inuyasha said while walking up with Sango.

“I don’t care what happens to her, I was just curious why she smells like wolf and not you dear brother.” He said in a stoic voice.

Inuyasha started to growl and Sango threw herself in front of him to stop him from attacking.

“ This is not the time or the place Inuyasha, Kagome needs you.” She shouted up at him.

“Did I strike a nerve dear brother?” He asked with chuckle.

“Fuck you!” Inuyasha growled back baring his fangs.

“May I look at her? I promise no harm will come to her, this Sesshoumaru swears it.”

They looked at each other and then back at the Lord sitting on the ground leaning up against the tree. Inuyasha spoke first “ I will kill you if you harm one hair on her I swear it!”

Sesshoumaru did not say anything; he got up and walked over to her.

Kagome started coming too, when she opened her eyes all she saw was silver hair. “Everything is still so blurry.” She thought. “Inuyasha?”
