Frightful Flight

Previously

Kagome had jumped, but Inuyasha simply 'Kehed', slightly embarassed. They glanced at one another then quickly rushed away. Thee only thing they had said was tomarrow.

Chapter Seven

Kagome had gotten home later that night to find Sango asleep with her lap and the couch filled with open books. Her mouth hung open with a slight snore erupting from her gapping mouth. The glasses once perfectly set were now askew and her hair was knatted and unceremoniously slung up in a bun at the top of her head. To say the least Kagome was surprised.

Sango snorted as Kagome dragged the 127 lbs of slack weight to the room across the hall from her's. Kagome expertly raised her leg and hooked it on the knob, turning it and her foot. Using her hand she had now freed by using the wall as her leverage, Kagome shoved the door open. It revealed a room clad in magneta and a large bed with a computer on the left hand side near the closet. The gigantic baywindow had a lovely seat with tons of fluffy pillows covering the window seat that held swords and knives inside. Sango's endtable had scattered frames with many pictures, one of which was face down. The enormous queen size bed had a magneta blacket with black roses on it and her pillows matched. The walls were blushed with many variations of magneta and on the wall that Kagome entered through had a large black rose on it. Sango's fixiation for roses was evident along with her taste for magneta and black.

Kagome threw back the silky soft material of Sango's bedspread and heaved the girl forward into it. Kagome carefully pulled off the still dozing girls socks and shoes then placed them by her closet. Sango stirred slightly, but fell back into her dreams. Kagome sighed and pulled the covers up to the girls chin and silently as she could be exited. This happened quite often in previous years so Kagome obviously knew of her friends coma like sleep. She'd grown use to the girl working relentlessly hard. It sometimes amazed Kagome at how hard her friend worked to get a degree for a job that she didn't need because she was already rich.

Hunkering into her own room Kagome sat on the plush and fluffy golden comforter. Her pillows shimmered a brillant gold with fanasty like fire red stars. Her walls were a soft, but enriched looking gold. There was a crimson blush red paint spread over the ceiling. Her carpet reflected it's opposing surface. The closet doors were a softer less harsh brase red, but red none the less. The knobs were gold and Kagome's 6' x 6' window had red curtains. Kagome had set herself up against her pillows and glanced at the pictures of her family. Sighing heavily she pulled out her work and readied herself for a long night, but even knowing her work load couldn't quite bring her off the high she was still feeling from that kiss.

In the morning Kagome was up and about fixing breakfast and getting ready for class. She had gotten maybe two hours of sleep, but Kagome wasn't one to complain. She had, had several cups of coffee already and her morning fix of a single caramelo bar she wasn't to often deprived of. She had hoped to accomplish everything last night, but some of her ten page essay had been a bit off considering she wasn't thinking about her schooling. Sango had appeared also ready for the day, but the only difference was that Sango was yawning. Kagome just sipped her caffinated bervage and grabbed her items for her class and told Sango 'goodbye'. Sango waved her off drooping into a cup off coffee.

The dance studio was a blaze with murmers about the demonstration they were about to recieve. Kagome's face felt like it was on fire at the stares from the females who so enviously wished Inuyasha was their partner. Kagome tried to shrug it off, but when one person entered the dance studio Kagome did not expect she flushed even further. Kouga walked his way into the studio. He had missed the first day because he didn't arrive to campus until later that evening. He took dance because he knew 'his' Kagome was in it.

Kagome tried desperately to hid from the womanizer in the doorway of the studio, but to no avail. Kouga swaggered his way toward her with a broad grin on his face, this was until the teacher walked in and they were forced to line up and he ended up next to some red headed chick with pigtails and serene green eyes. She eyed him wolfishly and smiled.

"Alright class. Last night I had the unexpected pleasure of witnessing two highly talented students rehearse our steps. Mr.Tashio and Miss.Higurashi will be performing this morning. Some of you may have already heard about from my flyer I posted on the opposing wall. Now let us begin." he shouted over the hustle and bustle of the students. "Please step out Mr.Tashio and Miss.Higurashi and let our demonstration begin." the lean man stepped aside pressing the play button on the stereo.

Kagome with a heafty blush approached the man she was attracted to. Inuyasha locked eyes with her and their dance, mental and physically, began. The beat blared and Kagome swung with it. The enchanting atmosphere reappeared and it seemed like a glass bubble had spun it's way around them. Golden and blue melted into one another, but there was a difference this time. They had already kissed. The desire came over the both, but they were still aware of the gawking students. This with held emotion fueled their dance on levels thought unreachable. Something snapped in Kagome's emotions though when Inuyasha twirled her outward and brought her back flush against him. The damn of built desire overrode her senses and the class fell away, figuratively of course. Inuyasha had himself felt it too, but he had slightly more control. This changed though when they did a twist and she rubbed unrestrained against his frontal area. They flew were enthrolled in eachother's arms and gaze.

The beat started to slow and the infamous hand running down Kagome's side came about. There was applause as the two now out of breath youths stared into eachother's eyes. They were about to play out what happen the night before when a voice rose from the audience. "YO dog face get your fucking hands off 'my' Kagome." Kouga had run to their side. The trance broke and both parties broke apart carrying a heavy blush. That's when his words sunk into Kagome's head.

Biting the inside of her cheek, Kagome counted backward from ten. At 4 Kouga spoke to her in a jealous voice. "Come on Kagome. I'm taking you as my partner." he attempted to grasp her arm, but she hauled back and SMACK! The sound reverberated off the walls and everyone including the professor was dead silent. "I'm not your woman. I will never be your woman and if you don't leave me alone I swear to Kami that you will recieve more than a smack." with the end of her sentence Kagome grabbed her duffle bag and marched out of the dance studio in a huff.

It took a moment before what happen registered with Kouga and when it did he looked ready to storm off after her. Inuyasha for once stepped forth and let forth an odd sound that seemed to be a growl. "Leave her wolf shit. She's mine." with that very possessive statement one Inuyasha bolted out after the fuming female. 'Did I just claim her as mine publicly? Damn must be losing it. The way she looks and feel against me it's just right. Now to find her and convince her of that too.'

A/N:Well that's it for now. Now to clear something up that may not be all that clear. Yes there are demons, but right now Kagome and others don't know that. I was debating for quite sometime whether or not to make demons, but with Inu's gold eyes and pure silver hair it would be dumb in my opinion not to make them demon. Kagome will soon find out and then the demonic word's like Inu hanyou and youkai will come into play, but in a way it was a surprise for all you. If you think it will ruin the story then do let me know. What you guys say counts. If you don't like it I may change it, but majority rules and I'm last vote so if you have a prob let me know.
