Chapter 6: Dinner Discussions
A/N: Inuyasha drops his question about drawing Kagome naked in the middle of their dinner date. Will she freak out and refuse or will she agree to pose for him? Hope you like the story so far! I still do not own Inuyasha unfortunately.

Kagome paced nervously outside of Kikyo’s bedroom door as she waited for her to open it. When Kikyo finally opened the door Kagome pushed her aside and barreled into the room. “Sure Kags, come on in why don’t you?”

“Sorry Ki, I’m just a little high strung I guess.”

“You think? What’s wrong with you Kagome?”

“It’s six and I still don’t know what I’m wearing to dinner with Inuyasha! He’ll be here in an hour to pick me up Ki!”

“Relax Kagome, everything will be fine. Come on, let’s go shopping in your closet.” Kikyo grabbed Kagome’s hand and led her back to her own bedroom. Opening the closet door Kikyo turned on the light and pulled Kagome into the closet behind her.

“Okay do you feel like wearing a skirt or pants?”

“Pants definitely it’s freezing outside!”

“Okay so what about your dark denim hip hugger jeans? They make your butt look really good.”

“Yeah okay, now what shirt am I going to wear?”

“I’m working on that Kags, just give me a minute.”

“Sorry.” Kikyo began browsing through Kagome’s clothes until she found her cranberry colored cashmere sweater. It had a low v-shaped neck and it even showed off a little of Kagome’s stomach when she wore it.

“Here this is the shirt you should wear tonight.”

“Wow Ki, how did you do that so fast?”

“Magic, but I’m not done yet. Wear your black zip up boots and then we’ll curl your hair.”

“Okay.” Kagome quickly slipped into the outfit that Kikyo had created for her. Kikyo flashed her a nod and grin of approval.

“Oh yeah, you’re going to look so hot when I’m done with you!” Kagome gave a girlish giggle as Kikyo led her back into their bathroom.

Kikyo grabbed the chair from in front of her vanity and placed it in front of the bathroom countertop. “Okay sit.”

“Yes master.” The two girls giggled as Kagome took her seat. Kikyo then plugged in the curling iron and began brushing Kagome’s hair while she waited for it to heat up. In a few moments the curling iron was ready and Kikyo began carefully curling Kagome’s long ebony locks framing them perfectly around her face. Moving to the back of Kagome’s head Kikyo carefully styled the last remaining locks and then reached for the hairspray.

Kagome covered her mouth and shut her eyes while Kikyo showered her curly tresses with hairspray to make sure they held through her entire dinner date with Inuyasha. “Oh wow Kagome, you look so beautiful.”

“Oh Ki, you’re just saying that because we’re sisters.”

“No Kagome, I mean it, you’re absolutely beautiful.”

“Thanks Kikyo.” The two girls hugged quickly before Kikyo unplugged the still hot curling iron.

“Okay Kagome, what perfume?”

“Oh right, I almost forgot! What about my perfume Rapture?” (Incase you’re wondering that perfume is by Victoria’s Secret and it’s absolutely wonderful!)

“Oh that’s perfect!” Kagome grabbed the heart shaped frosted glass bottle with a deep burgundy lid and misted herself generously with it’s heavenly smelling contents. Looking at the clock on the wall Kikyo saw that it was now ten minutes until seven o’ clock.

“Okay Kags, it’s almost show time sweetie.” As if on cue there was a knock on the front door.

“Oh my god Ki, he’s here! Hurry go get the door!” Kikyo chuckled at her half sister’s sudden case of butterflies. She quickly strode down the hallway until she reached the front door and opened it quickly.

Inuyasha gave her a nervous grin as he stood there in the hall. In his right hand was a beautiful bouquet of pink roses. Kikyo smiled and stepped aside as she gestured for him to come in. Her brown eyes followed the handsome young man as he walked into the dorm. He was nicely dressed in a pair of dark denim jeans and a pewter colored button down shirt matched with black Kenneth Cole boots. “Hey you must be Inuyasha I presume?”

“Uh yeah, I’m Inuyasha.”

“I’m Kikyo, Kagome’s half sister.”

“It’s nice to meet you. Is Kagome around?”

“Yeah let me go get her. Have a seat.” Inuyasha nodded and carefully sank down onto the sofa. Kikyo ran down the hallway and back into the bathroom where Kagome was still hiding out. “Oh my god Kags, he’s here, he’s got roses and he’s way hot!” Kagome blushed generously at Kikyo’s outburst.

“Thanks Ki.”

“Well go out there!” Nodding Kagome allowed herself to be pulled out of the bathroom and dragged down the hallway. Kikyo stopped short of the living room and pushed Kagome ahead of her. “Go have a good time.”

Kagome smiled over her shoulder and then padded slowly into the living room. “Hey Inuyasha.” At the sound of Kagome’s voice Inuyasha quickly rose from the couch and turned to greet her. His amber eyes widened and his mouth fell open in awe of how perfect she looked. Looking down he finally remembered the roses he was holding.

“Uh I brought these for you.”

“Oh pink roses! Inuyasha they’re my favorite, how did you know?”

“Lucky guess because I didn’t know.” Kagome took the roses from him and went into the kitchen to put them In a vase.

“Okay are you ready to go?”

“Yeah come on.” Inuyasha offered his arm to Kagome as they walked out the front door. They took the outdoor escalator down so they could just walk across the street to the covered parking garage. Kagome’s blue gray eyes grew wide when they landed on a red Lexus IS300.

“That’s your car?”

“Yeah it was a Christmas present from my dear old dad.” She frowned when she caught on to his sarcasm. Inuyasha opened the passenger door for Kagome and allowed her to slide into the leather seat before shutting it for her as well. Inuyasha eased into the driver’s seat and started the car. He stole a quick glance at Kagome before pulling out of the parking garage.

“You look really incredible Kagome.”

“Thanks, so do you.” He grinned when he noticed her cheeks quickly become a light shade of pink. “So where are we going?”

“To Da Vinci’s.”

“Da Vinci’s?”

“Yeah it’s a little Italian restaurant on the outskirts of town.”

“And how did you learn about it?”

“Mom and I used to go there to have dinner together some night, just the two of us.”

“Are you sure you’re okay sharing this place with me?”

“Absolutely.” The rest of the ride was spent in silence until they reached the small old world styled building. The building was a beautiful two story terracotta colored stone and on the second level there was a large white stone terrace. The entrance to the restaurant was arched and adorned with a white canvas covering over the cobblestone walkway that had several large square terracotta colored planting pots that had beautifully manicured olive trees nestled in them.

“Oh Inuyasha, this place is beautiful.”

“Glad you like it.” Taking her hand gently he led her up the walkway to the entrance of the restaurant. A man clad in a crisp white button down shirt, deep crimson tie, and pressed black dress slacks met them at the door.

“Good evening welcome to Da Vinci’s. Do you have a reservation sir?”

“Yes it should be under Takahashi.”

“Ah yes, Mr. Takahashi, your reserved table is ready. Please follow me.” Inuyasha put his hand on the small of Kagome’s back to guide her in front of him. The man led them to a table for two out on the terrace. “Here you are Mr. Takahashi, enjoy your dinner.”

“Thanks.” After placing the menus on the small round wrought iron table with a crisp white linen tablecloth he left the two alone. Inuyasha pulled out Kagome’s chair for her as she sat down.

“Thank you Inuyasha.”

“You’re welcome.” Taking his seat across from her he opened his mouth to speak but was quickly interrupted by their waiter. “Good evening folks, my name is Matthew and I’ll be taking care of you tonight. May I get you started off with some wine?”

“Yes, how about a bottle of your Ecco Domani Pinot Grigio?”

“Of course, excellent choice sir.” Soon the wine was brought to their tableside and placed in a terracotta colored clay chiller after the waiter had poured both of them a glass. They ordered their meals and were then left alone to talk. Kagome nervously sipped her wine as she tried to think of something intelligent to say.

“I’m really glad you agreed to let me take you to dinner tonight Kagome.”

“Me too, I’m having a really nice time.” It didn’t take long for their meals to be delivered and they began digging in to the wonderful smelling food. Inuyasha wiped his mouth with his napkin after swallowing his mouthful of pasta and then took a sip of wine before clearing his throat to speak.

“So how was class today Kagome?”

“Oh it was okay. We’re still going over things I already know so it’s not very exciting to me right now. How was your drawing class?”

“Interesting.”

“Really?”

“Yeah we watched a film about Leonardo Da Vinci and then we got our first major grade assignment.”

“So what’s the assignment?”

“We have to do a detailed drawing of a woman in charcoal pencil.”

“Oh that sounds neat.” Kagome glanced down and took another bite of her chicken parmesan as Inuyasha readied himself to ask his next question.

“Kagome, would you consider posing naked so I could draw you?” The sound of Kagome’s fork and knife dropping onto her plate seemed to echo across the otherwise empty terrace.

“Excuse me?”

“That’s our assigment, we have to do a detailed drawing of a woman posing naked.”

“Don’t they have models who volunteer for that sort of thing?”

“Normally yes, but this time we aren’t being provided with one.”

“So you’re asking me to pose naked for you so you can draw me and turn it in to your teacher for a grade?”

“Yes. Please Kagome, it’s for a major part of my average this first semester. So will you?”

“Um…I don’t know.”

“I’ll pay you.”

“No that’s not necessary Inuyasha.”

“Please pose for me Kagome? You’ll be perfect for me to draw.” Kagome’s cheeks were practically blazing as she glanced across the table at Inuyasha.

“Okay, I’ll do it.”

“Thank you so much Kagome, I promise I’ll make this up to you!” Kagome nodded as she gulped down the last of her wine.

“So Inuyasha, when do we start?”

“How about tomorrow night?”

“Okay.” After paying for their dinner Inuyasha escorted Kagome back to his car.

“So what do you feel like doing now Kagome?”

“We could just go hang out at your place.”

“You want to?”

“Yeah I don’t really feel like going anywhere else tonight.” Inuyasha headed in the direction of Bridgeview. The got back to Inuyasha’s and found a note taped to the front door. “Hey Yash, I just wanted to let you know I’m hanging out with Sango tonight. See you later. Miroku.”

“Who’s Miroku?”

“My best friend.” Leading Kagome inside Inuyasha shut the door and locked it. They sank down onto the sofa and Inuyasha switched on the television. He channel surfed until he found something worth watching. Kagome found herself unable to keep from staring at Inuyasha. So far she had been able to sneak glances at him without being caught but this time he caught her red handed. Blushing profusely Kagome forced herself to look at the television. When she was sure that Inuyasha was no longer watching her she looked at him again.

Kagome’s mouth fell open and a small gasp escaped from it when she found herself staring into two perfect pools of molten amber. “God Kagome, you’re so incredible.”

“I am?”

“Yes. You’re the most beautiful girl in the world. Could I kiss you?” Nodding her consent she let her eyes slip closed when Inuyasha’s right hand tangled itself into her curly raven locks. He gently pulled her towards him until their lips were almost touching. Kagome shivered when she felt his warm breath caress her face before she felt the gentle pressing of his lips upon her own. His lips were so soft and warm against her own that she couldn’t help the gasp that escaped her mouth.

Inuyasha took the opportunity and carefully slipped his tongue into Kagome’s mouth. Their tongues gently tangled as their kiss became more intimate. Kagome dug her slender fingers into Inuyasha’s thick silvery hair. Her hands quickly found his soft white dog ears and she began gently massaging them from the base to their tip.

Inuyasha groaned hoarsely into Kagome’s mouth as he felt his length quickly hardening in his pants. His hands found their way to the small of Kagome’s back where they began tracing small circles. Kagome’s neck was beginning to cramp from the angle it was tilted so she decided to shift her position. Swinging her right leg across Inuyasha’s muscular thighs she then eased herself onto his lap. Kagome gave a small whimper when her core pressed against Inuyasha’s quickly growing arousal. Planting his hands on her hips he allowed her to break their kiss to suck in a much needed breath of air.

Smoky blue gray eyes locked with smoldering molten amber and their lips came crashing together more fiercely this time. Kagome could feel the moisture beginning to collect between her thighs and it made her secret place ache. Out of instinct to soothe the dull throb between her thighs she rubbed her core against Inuyasha’s hard length. Letting out a hoarse groan Inuyasha grabbed Kagome’s hips and lifted her tempting body away from his throbbing erection. “Kagome….we….we have to stop.”

“But I….”

“We have to stop….unless you’re ready to sleep with me.”

“Oh…Inuyasha I……”

“If you have to think about your answer then you’re not ready.”

“I’m sorry. Are you mad?”

“Mad? At you?”

“Uh huh.”

“No sweetheart, I’m not mad at you. Why would I be mad at you?”

“Well because of what I did to you.”

“Oh that.…well it’ll go away.”

“Inuyasha….don’t think that this has anything to do with you.”

“What?”

“Me not being ready.”

“Oh. Well if it’s not because of me then what is it?”

“I um…maybe I should tell you why I’m so skittish about sex.”

“You don’t have to tell me anything you’re not ready to Kagome.”

“I want to tell you because I really like you.”

“Okay. Go ahead, I’m listening.”

“Well the night before Kikyo and I left Manhattan for New York City my ex-boyfriend Hojo stopped by.”

“You don’t sound too excited about that.”

“No I didn’t really want to see him because I didn’t really want to be his girlfriend anymore.”

“So when were you planning on telling him that?”

“Next weekend when Kikyo and I went home to visit Mama and Souta.”

“I see. So what went wrong that night?”

“Well Hojo started trying to get physical and I told him to stop because I wasn’t ready.”

“And what did he do?”

“He held me down…..and he…..he….oh god I can’t even say it!” Kagome threw herself into Inuyasha’s arms and buried her face into his broad chest. Inuyasha wrapped his arms tightly around the raven haired girl when she started sobbing.

“Shhh Kagome, listen honey we don’t have to talk about this anymore tonight.”

“I’m so sorry Inuyasha!”

“For what honey? You have absolutely nothing to apologize for. Do you want me to take you home now?”

“No. I don’t want to go home tonight Inuyasha.”

“Well what do you want then?”

“To spend the night with you.”

“Is that what you really want?”

“Yes.”

“Okay. Let me go get you some pajamas.” Nodding Kagome climbed off his lap and let him get up. Inuyasha returned from his bedroom with a pair of blue gray and white plaid flannel pajama bottoms and a white tee shirt. “Here these should fit you okay.”

“Thank you. I’m going to go change.”

“Alright, the bathroom is down the hall on your left.” Kagome went into the bathroom and took off her boots first. Then she tugged her jeans and panties off before slipping on Inuyasha’s flannel pajama pants. Kagome took off her sweater and bra before pulling on the white tee shirt he had given her. She folded up her clothing and then returned to the living room with it.

“You can put your stuff in my room if you want.”

“Yeah thanks.” She turned and went back down the hall to Inuyasha’s room and placed her things on his dresser. Inuyasha followed Kagome into his room.

“Hey are you ready to go to bed?”

“Yeah.”

“Okay.” Kagome climbed into bed and snuggled down into the pillows. Inuyasha turned to walk back into the living room.

“Aren’t you coming to bed?”

“In a little while.”

“Inuyasha would you please come to bed with me now?”

“Do you want me to Kagome?”

“Uh huh.”

“Okay just let me turn off the television.” Inuyasha quickly turned off the television before returning to his bedroom and shutting the door. He grabbed his pair of red black and white flannel pajama bottoms and went into the closet to change. Taking off his shoes he slipped off his jeans and boxers easily. Inuyasha pulled on his flannel pajama bottoms before taking off his shirt. Tossing his clothes into his laundry hamper he turned off the closet light and went into the bedroom.

Inuyasha turned off the bedroom light and slipped beneath the sheets next to Kagome. “Thank you for letting me stay here Inuyasha.”

“I’m glad that you feel comfortable enough to want to stay here Kagome. I really, really like you a lot.”

“Me too.”

“Kagome?”

“Yes?”

“Would you.…be my girlfriend?”

“Oh Inuyasha, you mean that?”

“Absolutely. So will you?”

“Yes!” The two shared a sweet chaste kiss on the lips before Kagome turned so that her back was pressed firmly against Inuyasha’s chest. It didn’t take them long to fall asleep laying so close together. For the first time in a long time both Inuyasha and Kagome felt completely at peace. Neither one had a clue that they were in the beginning stages of falling in love with each other.
A/N: Next chapter Sesshomaru and Kikyo will meet! Will some major sparks fly or will they not even notice each other? Their relationship will be a bit more intense more quickly than Kagome and Inuyasha’s. Hope you enjoy the newest chapter, please read and review!
