Hng ang another heart shattering howl, Kikyou jumped. Looking up at Inuyasha a tear in her eyes, and he knew she felt sorry for him. "Damn your soft heart Kikyou!" he cursed, looking back at her, "what is it you're gonna do for him?" Thinking the worst he turned around, leaning his back against the tree trunk. Kikyou sighed, "Maybe you are right, but I can't let him go on like that." Feeling confused, could it be possible to fall in love again? Could she really leave Inuyasha?
"Inuyasha I'm sorry, I just..." sobbing she ran, jumping down from the tree, "I'll be back I promise!" and with one last longing look at him she ran, heading for the mountains and the sorrowed wolf tribe that stayed there. Leaving Inuyasha to watch her go, feeling his depression she would make her errand quick.

Not too long did it take to get there. Breathing heavy she walked beneath the waterfall into the wolf youkai's lair. Stopping to gaze into the dark caves, resting her eyes on the leader. It took a moment for him to recognize her scent, and believe his nose. He drank in her warm scent, looking up to confirm his thought. There she stood, a bright miko, tall and dark. An angel, fallen from heaven. Put on this earth just to please his senses. He didn't wonder about Inuyasha, or why she was here. He was simply glad that she had come back. Trying to contain his ecstacy as he walked calmly to her. "Kikyou, you came back." voicing his doug opg opinion.
"I couldn't bear to hear you every morning." she sighed, standing still. Skin tingling, anticipating, waiting for this youkais touch. Kouga hung his head, almost ashamed that she had heard that. A shameful sorrow, a destiny to have met this woman and yet be limited by her. Why has she returned? Is it that she has betrayed her former lover? Too many questions to ask, for time is winding down. Quickly embracing this complicated woman. Tears of joy and pain blahe the trail down his face. "I'm so glad you came back." breathing softly against her neck. A slight warm breeze in her ear. Embracing tighter, this small form.
"Kouga, I'm not sure of my next move. What is it that you wish of me?" pulling back, out of a heartbroken mans arms. A glare, piercing blue turning gray. "I want to be with you, to love you. I want you to stay with me. For..." a sentance cut off. Too afraid to continue, and a gentle voice to fill in the blanks, "...ever." A sad unwilling voice, almost frightened to leave her hanyou koibito. Yet, maybe spending little time with a ookami youkai wouldn't be so forbidden. Her heart felt torn, one youkai pulling the controll away from a hanyou, who has no power to stop his lovers will.
"Kikyou, just give me enough to get by." picking her up, folded in his arms. Weak, thin arms around his neck. Smelling her pain, her open wounds still unable to heal. Even on the inside she was torn, injured in a battle of loss and love. Though comforting to help a man in need, it still wasn't enough consolation for her hanyou. Laying down silently in a small forest at the other side of the mountain. Waiting for a voice to break the pounding quietness. A ringing in her ears was now the low growl of this ookami youkai. And feeling the tension and anticipation from his body made her shiver. Knowing that this man couldn't hold back any longer.
