I want to see you back in the Warring States era in one month, or I will come and kill both you and your mate. If you actually show you are willing to face your fate I will let your mate live.

"What are we going to do?" Kagome asks

"Fight him" Inuyasha answers "And win"

Chapter 7: Kagome and Inuyasha's Return to the Past

"We're back!" Kagome announces as they walk in Kayade's hut

"Kagome, you've returned!" Shippo jumps onto her and hugs her. "Why do you smell like Inuyasha?"

"Cause she's my mate, runt!" Inuyasha answers

"Inuyasha!" Kagome says

"What? It's the truth," Inuyasha says

"Does that mean you two are going to have pups soon?" Shippo asks

Kagome blushes "Maybe someday Shippo, but not until we defeat Naraku"

"I'm glad to see you two finally got together," Miroku says

"Yeah, but our time together was interrupted, seems that my assassin found us somehow" Inuyasha says

"For that I apologize" Miroku says

"Why are you apologizing?" Kagome asks

"Cause I told him where you two went" Miroku answers

"Why would you do a thing like that for?" Inuyasha asks

"Simple, he threatened to kill Sango, and said he was only really after you, and didn't want to kill her, so I told him. I was hoping that he would be unable to pass through, but I see that his going to Kagome's time must've given you the advantage," Miroku says

"What do you mean, monk?" Inuyasha asks while grabbing Miroku

"I mean, seeing that you and Kagome have returned you must've defeated him"

"Actually, he left a note saying he wanted me to return to this time to face my fate, or he would kill both me and Kagome"

"Then we can all fight him when he returns" Sango says

"Right, we'll help you defeat him" Kagome says

"Miroku, did you get a good look at the assassin?" Inuyasha asks

"Yes, why?" Miroku asks

"Tell me, what does he look like?"

"He has very dark blue hair, and the most disturbing eyes I've ever seen"

"What color where they?"

"Blood-red"

Inuyasha looks at him, then shakes his head. "Must be a different half-demon"

"What do you mean, Inuyasha?" Kagome asks

"I once knew a half-demon by that description, but if he's even alive he would have no reason to kill me"

"You knew another half-demon?" Kagome asks

"Yes, before I meet Kikyo I had my life saved by a pair of half-demons, but I was so afraid that even though they helped me and gave me a place to sleep that night I ran off"

"Tell me about these two half-demons"

"Don't worry about it right now" The rest of time passes and once again it's time for the assassin to reappear. "Come on, let's go away from town, I don't want any innocent people hurt," Inuyasha says

"Good idea Inuyasha, lead the way to your final resting ground" the assassin says as he appears in front of Inuyasha, still in his more modern clothes.
