Chapter 6



Kikyo’s souls were heading outside to destroy her enemies. She did not want Inuyasha rescuing Kagome. She had waited to long for this moment, and she was not about to let any of them ruin it. “Inuyasha look, Kikyo’s souls are approaching us” shouted Sango. “Everyone be ready to fight” said Inuyasha. Kikyo’s souls reached the barrier and easily passed through in hunt for her enemies. “Kiara come”, shouted Sango. As they leapt into the air to fight Miroku began to put up a spiritual barrier around Sango. He did not want his love to be harmed. Shippo had learned a lot from being with all of them, he used his skills well. They all came for a fight and that’s exactly want they were in for.

Koga stood back watching them attack Kikyo’s souls to no availability; they just kept coming and coming. This was taking to long, Koga tried to use his wind speed to crash the barrier. Even though he no longer had a jewel shard he still had the ability to travel at a high speed. As he approached the barrier he slammed into it and was thrown back into a tree. “Damn it I must get to Kagome, I need her. I won’t let that stupid woman kill her. I have to try again.” Once again Koga slammed into the wall, and was knocked unconscious. Inuyasha saw what happened and smiled. “Stupid wolf demon, he deserves everything he gets. “Koga is right about one thing we must get past this barrier. I wish there was some way we could.” Miroku, Sango and Shippo were getting tired. Kikyo’s souls just kept comind cnd coming. “This can’t go on,” shouted Miroku. “We have to find a way inside now.”

Inside the castle Kikyo was enjoying the defeat of all of them. “Looks like you won’t be rescued Miss Kagome. They can’t get past my souls or my barrier. You will die here today and so will the rest of your friends. Inuyasha will be all mine and none of you will be alive to stop me.” Kikyo started to laugh again. Kagome was really pissed now. She had to find a way to help Inuyasha and the others, but how. Little did Kikyo know that Miyoga had been attached to Kagome the whole time? “Kagome it’s me Miyoga.” “Miyoga how did you get here?” “I have been with you the whole time. I wanted to help in case Inuyasha couldn’t find you. I wanted to see where Kikyo was taking you. So I hopped on your back when Koga ran off with you.” “Why are you just appearing now” Kagome whispered. “I didn’t want to make a scene until I knew I was safe to speak. I may have an answer to your question. There may be a way to help the others.” “How you must tell me right now?” Kikyo noticed Kagome’s lips moving. “What are you talking about over there?” “I was just saying how I’m going to enjoy killing you” Kagome stated with a smile on her face.” “You wish, there’s nothing you could do to me.” “That’s where she’s wrong” stated Miyoga. That is what I need to tell you. Kagome you are Kikyo’s reincarnation, you are her in every since. There may be a way you can harness her powers as well.” Kagome was stunned she never really thought about that. There was never a time where she had to try. Sure she was great with the bow but other then that she never gave it a thought. “Miyoga how would I do this and what can I do?” “I want you to first tell Inuyasha what I told you and then we will begin.” Kagome tried to reach out to Inuyasha once again. “Inuyasha, Inuyasha listen to me.” Inuyasha stopped mid attack and focused on Kagome’s voice. “I hear you my love are you okay?” “Yes, I am fine for now. Listen Miyoga is here with me and he has told me something interesting. He said I may be able to harness Kikyo’s powers. I am her reincarnation so it may work. Miyoga wants me to try and break her barrier.” “Okay Kagome but please be careful, if she senses what your doing she’ll kill you.” “If I can access her powers she won’t be able to touch me.” “Just be careful my love”, “I will.” Kagome broke the connection and whisp to to Miyoga, “I am ready to try.”

After there link was broken Inuyasha told the others what she said. “I will also concentrate on Kagome and the barrier, maybe I can help her” said Miroku.

Miyoga told Kagome to concentrate on the barrier. “I want you to picture her barrier, see it in your mind and focus on it. Now I want you to focus on breaking it.” “I can’t”. “You can Kagome now concentrate harder.” Kagome did, as she was doing it she felt Miroku’s presence; he was trying to help her. She focused on the barrier, she saw it. Her mind screamed to break it and it broke. “Kagome did it Inuyahsa, she has broken the barrier.” “I did it Miyoga, I broke her wall. Miyoga, I feel power coursing through me.” “Maybe now you have awakened your powers.” “My powers, what do you mean.” “You’ve always had powers, you just never knew about them.” “Well maybe now I can use that power to destroy Koga and Kikyo.”

Outside the barrier was down. Koga came to and saw this and quickly entered the palace. Inuyasha and the others followed suit. “How the hell did they get past my barrier?” Kagome looked at her and smiled. “I told you our love is strong and there’s nothing you can do to stop him for coming for me.” “You’ll be dead by the time he reaches you.” Kagome stood up and broke her chains. “I don’t think so Kikyo.” “What the, how did you get free?” Kagome walked towards Kikyo and smiled at her. “Wouldn’t you like to know?”
