Chapter Six: Confrontation
Disclaimer: I dont own Inuyasha. (I hate writing this. Isn't it annoying?)
Hello again. In case any of you are wondering, this Fanfic will be much longer. By the way, did anyone think that Inuyasha ould kill Kikyo? Read. By the way, it took longer than expected because the stupid internet wouldn't let me on,. Stupid damn internet.

Inuyasha stood away from the village, trying to see if he could smell his brother.
"Damn, he's close." He said.
"What are we going to do with her?" Kagome asked, slightly afraid.
"Take her into the woods--- wait, there is no time, he'll be here any second. Just cover her eyes! Now!" Inuyasha said, slightly panicked.
"Sorry Kyoko, this is to protect you." Kagome said as she and sango covered Kyoko's eyes.
"What--"
Sesshoumaru appeared before them, looking angrier than they had ever seen him before.
Kagome tightened her grip on Kyoko's arm nervously.
"Where--"Sesshoumaru started, but then he layed eyes on Kyoko, slightly relieved that she wasn't hurt.
"Why do you have my mother, Inuyasha, before I rip your limbs off." Sesshoumaru asked in a voice that was half a growl.
"She has no memory, Sesshoumaru! She has no clue who you are, or who I am! Kikyo was lying to you!" Inuyasha said.
Sesshoumaru was shocked slightly from the news that his mother did not know who he was right now. But he didn't believe him.
"If I find out that you hurt her--"
"She's fine, Sesshoumaru!" Kagome yelled, "Kyoko?"
Kyoko was squirming, trying to break free of Kagome and Sango's hands over her eyes and on her arms.
"Kyoko, be still, you cannot see him." Sango said to her. She went still.
Sesshoumaru appeared right before Kagome in a second.
"Let her go, wench." he growled.
"No." Kagome said, slightly afraid.
"Leave her alone Sesshoumaru!" Inuyasha said, afraid that if he tried to hurt his brother in the mood he was in he might destroy entire villages.
"I said, let her go."
Kagome stood still in her place, shaking her head defiantly.
Sesshoumaru growled. He raised one of his claws, which turned green with poison.
"You have one more chance before I make you let go."
Kagome was really afraid now, but she stood her ground.
Kyoko was confused. She could not tell who was talking to Kagome, but he sounded really angry, and really familiar to her.
She could smell Kagome's fear.
"Who is there, Kagome?" She asked quietly.
Kagome was about to say something, but Sesshoumaru stepped in front of Kyoko.
"Its me, mother. It's Sesshoumaru." He said quietly, and Kagome could hear the hope in his voice.
"What?" Kyoko said, clearly not knowing who was talking to her.
'Inuyasha was right, ' Sesshoumaru thought.
Kagome knew that he was trying to hide it, but Kagome could see how much sadness this was causing him.
Then she thought, if they were causing sadness in him by hiding his mother from him, that was no different than trying to kill her. In a way, Kikyo was right.
That thought drove her to, without thinking, remove her hand from Kyoko's eyes and arm.
"No, Kagome don't!" Inuyasha yelled.
Without Kagome holding her, Kyoko threw off Sango, and in the process, tripped, falling right into Sesshoumaru. As he stood her up on her feet, she opened her eyes, looking straight forward, and since she was shorter than him, that was at the bottom of his neck. She slowly looked up with her blank eyes, and then, suddenly, they weren't blank anymore. They had pupils, and emotion. Kagome pulled her back, but too late.
"Oh no," Inuyasha said quietly.
Kyoko seemed to be in shock. Kagome could see the light from the shikon shard growing brighter, until suddenly, it fell right out of her heart on to the ground.
Suddenly, the new, alive, Kyoko spoke.
"Sesshoumaru?" Her voice now held emotion.
"You know who I am now?" He asked.
She nodded.
Everyone was silent and still, hoping for a good reaction.
Kyoko suddenly turned angry and turned towards Inuyasha.
"You!" She said, pointing at him. "How dare you decieve me, you filthy half breed!"
Her words struck Inuyasha hard.
"You kept me from my son because you wanted to protect yourself!"
Inuyasha had to reply to that.
"I didn't do it to protect myself! I did it to protect you from yourself! You may now know ho you are again, but you also have all of your memories! See for yourself!"
Kyoko thought for a moment, then fell to the ground, holding her head.
"Kyoko!" Kagome said, worried, but she didn't go to her because of Sesshoumaru.
"Mother, what is wrong?" Sesshoumaru asked, also sounding worried.
"Im fine." She said, standing up.
"I told you!" Inuyasha said.
"Shut up!" Kyoko said.
"Why, because I was right?"
"SHUT UP! You are the one that caused ALL of my pain! You and your human mother were who Inutaisho chose to be with! That was what drove me to kill myself, so Inutaisho would be happy!" Tears were falling down Kyoko's face. "Did you know, that Sesshoumaru tried to stop me from killing myself, and that he had to watch, and wake up to look at my dead body?!"
Kagome suddenly felt some sadness for Sesshoumaru. Only because she couldn't imagine doing that.
Inuyasha felt some guilt, but not much.
Kyoko sank to the ground, crying her heart out.
Sesshoumaru sat beside her, hugging her and trying to comfort her.
Everyone was surprised. This was a side of Sesshoumaru that they had never seen before.
'Of course,' Kagome thought, ' he couldn't have always been an emotionless jerk.'
Sesshoumaru picked up Kyoko, and with one last glare at Inuyasha, he sped off.
Kagome swore she had sen a weak smile come from Kyoko to her though.
Kagome now looked down, feeling guilty.
"Im sorry." she whispered.
Inuyasha stood beside her. He put one arm around her shoulders, and she leaned against his chest.
"It's okay. It was going to happen eventually."
"It's just, he looked so sad. But now, she hates us, and she doesn't even care how nice we were" .Tear welled up in her eyes, "Everything we did is useless!"
She started crying, and Inuyasha hugged her, letting her cry against his chest.
"Don't worry Kagome. She hates me because of what happened nearly seventy years ago. She has nothing against you, so she might still be your friend. She isn't one to break a friendship unless it was fake or lying."
She stopped crying and looked up at him. "Really?"
He nodded. He released her and she wiped her eyes..
"Everything will work out in the end." Miroku said.
Sango agreed. Kagome went to pick up the jewel shard from Kyoko's heart.
"Does this mean she is alive?" Kagome asked.
"Probably. Though I do want to know where Kikyo got it. Probably stole it." Inuyasha answered.
They headed back to Kaede's hut now to have her help them figure out what to do next.
Sesshoumaru and Kyoko....
Sesshoumaru looked down at his mother, who he was still carrying. She was fast asleep, dried tears on her face.
He sighed. This was a face he hadn't seen in 70 years. She looked exactly the same.
He wasn't sure what she was going to do when she woke up, but she was still angry at Inuyasha, so...
'Wait--' he looked at the Kimono she was wearing. The same one she had been wearing when she died.
' The one that father gave to her a long time ago...'
He wondered if the memories she posessed would affect her at all in a great deal.
"I will make sure no one hurts you, mother. Never again." He whispered.
