Ch. 6 Kagura’s Heart, and Kohaku’s life

Kana sat in the in front of the swarming slimy mass that was Naraku with her mirror. The mirror showed the two lovers sleeping snugly in the black fir. Naraku himself was battling to keep his body one. Several hundred youkai had already escaped his body already. He didn’t know how the wench had done it but the Shikon no Tama had disappeared from his hands. He was at a loss as what to do. There was no scheme this time. He was trusted by no one, he wasn’t strong enough to fight them by himself. It would be best to just go into hiding, but first he had to return his body to the way it was before he had the Shikon no Tama. He couldn’t even move as he was now.

Kagura was outside in the castle courtyard. She could see the clear blue sky above her. She was breathing fresh air for the first time on the inside of Naraku’s barrier. She looked down at the ground before her, lying on the ground were he’d fallen was Kohaku. She smiled holding her hand to her chest feeling the heart beating for the second time in her life. She would take this boy to his sister, as a way to say thank you for freeing her. She pulled the feather from her hair, she let the wind take her and the boy away from there prison.

Kagura’s smile could have brightened the sky in the dead of night. She longed to finish it so she could fly free for the rest of her immortal life. Along her flight to Inuyasha and his merry band of hero’s she caught the scent of power. A power she new could now end her captivity forever. She let the wind drop her in his path. She landed with Kohaku cradled in her arms. “Yo”, was her greeting. Sesshomaru placed his hand on the hilt of Tokijin. “If you want my information take you hand of that sword.” She said in an easy going tone.

“Tell me and I won’t kill you” he paid no mind to the girl that was now holding his leg.

“Naraku is helpless” She set Kohaku’s body on the ground and focused on her fan, silently commanding the wind to blow Naraku’s scent in his direction. “Follow the scent”.

“Kohaku” said the timid little girl. She pulled away from Sesshomaru and kneeled next to Kohaku. She called his name again and shook his body, “Sesshomaru-sama Kohaku won’t wake up” she started to cry. Big wet tears fell out of her eyes, making the Tai-Youkai inwardly cringe. Of course on the outside Sesshomaru showed now sign of caring. “Rin doesn’t want Kohaku dead, Rin doesn’t want anyone dead” Her tears increased. Sesshomaru growled in Kagura’s directions for bringing the boys dead body here in front of his little charge.

“Quiet Rin, do it for me” He gently commanded. He pulled Tensaiga from it sheath and approached the boy. Kagura backed off, she’d never seen him pull that sword. She looked confused when she slashed the sword just above the boy’s body. Not a second latter she heard the boy’s heart begin beating. For some reason when she saw him draw breath, she felt happiness that same was when her own heart started beating. She looked at the beautiful male before her with shining admiration. Kagura felt the need to be respectful toward him so she thanked him in a formal way and bowed low. (A/N: I as much as I’m looking forward to learning Japanese, as of now all I know is the little I’ve learned from watching fan subs, so I’m not going to write what would be said, but if you do know what should be said when one is extremely grateful I would gladly put the Japanese in) Picking the now sleeping Kohaku she let the wind blow them toward Inuyasha’s forest.

Sesshomaru watched the wind nymph ride away on the wind. Then turned and walked in the directof Nof Naraku with out a word. Rin jumped up and ran after him with her arms spread wide like she was a little gliding bird. “Jaken” He commanded with quit force. The little gay toad squawked and ran after him calling his name in that annoying nasal voice.

Inuyasha’s noise twitched in his sleep. In the very next moment He was jumping up pulling Kagome to her feet. “aaahhmmmuua…Inuyasha what the hell is wrong with you” she grumbled as she wiped the sleep from her eye’s.

“It’s Kagura…” He turned back to face her while he spoke, but his mouth kinda did the flapping motion for a second, “…Ka..ka..Kagome what are you” his sight found his own body “WHERE ARE MY CLOTHES!!!” He screamed, he ran franticly around in circles looking for his robes. Kagome fell to the ground laughing. Inuyasha stop and turned to the crazed demon, “What the fuck is wrong with you, just tell me where my ropes are…you crazy bitch do you want that bastard Kagura to see me naked” He finally spotted his robes at the base of a tree that was all scratched up. He blushed and dressed. He turned to tell Kagome to get dress he found her rapped in her fir kinda like the way Naraku wears his pelt, but instead of a head holding it together, hers had a big black paw.

Inuyasha and Kagome jumped a little when they heard a twig snap from behind the bushes. Inuyasha growled and tore at the bush like it was a demon, revealing two sheepish looking humans. “You two look red, have you bastards been watching from the beginning haven’t you” He raised his hand and hit the monk in the head twice.

“Sango” Kagome exclaimed.

“I’m so sorry Kagome, I was just worried, and then I just…” Her voice trails off to embarrassed too speak.

“No Sango look” Kagome pointed to Kohoku who stood in front of Kagura. She heard Inuyasha growl, he ran at Kagura. “No Inuyasha sit” She cried. Holding out her hand, she and he both were shocked when he floated in the air instead of smashing into the ground.

“Are you Kagome?” asked Kagu Kag Kagome nodded her affirmative. Kagura threw them a luminous smile, all faces where shocked by it beauty, one was especially appreciative. He would have moved to ask his famous question, but Sango viciously attacked his arm with her pinching fingers. He looked at her with his ‘I’m wounded you don’t trust me, I’m but a humbly monk’ face. Sango turned her noise at him with a huff. Clearly stating she didn’t by it for a minute.

“Why are you here? Bitch” He yelled. Kagome walked past Inuyasha, and strait for Kohaku. She took his face in her hands and looked into his tormented brown eyes. She knew right then that he was alive with out his shard. She picked him up and carried him over to his sister. She set him down, he just hide his face in her fir. Sango looked pained.

“It wasn’t you Kohaku, that bastard Naraku used your body” Sango said.

“I was too weak to fight him” He said weakly face still hidden in Kagome’s black fir. Kagome turned him around and pushed him into his sister’s arms. Sango knelt before and embraced him.

“Kohaku Naraku is a powerful demon, Inuyasha and the rest of us have been fighting him for over a year and we’ve yet to beat him, so please forgive yourself, and don’t ever leave me again.” She was now in tears, Miroku gave her silent support.

“Kagome, I’ll say thank you for how ever you got ride of the jewel and I’ll also say good bye” She waved and pulled a feather from her hair.

“Hey wait, where you going bitch I’m not done with you” Barked the irritated Inuyasha.

“I’m free from Naraku, I’ll go where ever the wind takes me” A look of pure pleasure crossed her face.

“Free from Naraku…Wait what do you mean, what’s happened to Naraku” He yelled thirsty for information.

“Sesshomaru’s probably already killed him” was all she said before she was gone. Kagura took the hear pin out of her hair spilling her ink black hair. She took out the earrings from her ears dropping them he lhe lake she was gliding over. She pulled the sash around her waist letting it fly way behind her. She parted her kimonos and flung them off of her body. She didn’t care where they landed, what did wind need with cloths. She stood on her feather and opened her arms to the wind and burst into a flurry of white feathers. The feathers where held together by the wind. The wind carried the feathers high up into the sky until they caught the jet streamed and blown to heaven only knows where.

“Kagome were going now” He growled, “And if you others want revenge you’d better follow.” He walked in front of Kagome and held out his hands so she could ride. She took one of his hands in hers and willed them to rise. “I can move on my own” he said like a five year old.

“I know but it will be faster this way, and I’m sure you want to get there before your brother”

“Keh”

Miroku came up beside them riding Kirara by himself. “Hey pervert, where is Sango?”

Miroku gave Inuyasha a dirty look, “Sango has decided to stay in the village with Kohaku. She said she didn’t want Kohaku to ever have to face him again.”

“I suppose that would be the best…we should finish this and end this maddens once and for all” Kagome speed off in the direction of his scent.

Inuyasha let go of Kagome’s hand when the cloud they rode on floated above the castle. Inuyasha jumped of the cloud and landed behind Sesshomaru. Kagome landed in front of him. “You seemed to be losing your clothes a lot lately” Kagome turned around and glared at Sesshomaru.

“It seems miko robes don’t suit me very well”

“Your right, they don’t. You should consider getting some new clothes, it’s not proper to fight in the nude”

“Shut up, you pansy as bitch” Inuyasha punched him in the back of the head.

“I’ll teach you to respect your superiors” Sesshomaru punched him hard in the jaw. Before long the two were fighting sword to sword.

“Hey” says Kagome, looking at the whiteure ure trying to escape from the back.

“Shut up you bastard your now better then me” swords clang together completely drowning out Kagome’s voice.

“Yo” She calls pointing to the guy in the white baboon fir.

“It’s funny how you can still talk with dirt in your mouth” He punched him sending him flying face first into the dirt.

“HEY YOU DUMB BASTARDS, NARAKU IS GETTING AWAY!!!!” She screamed, having had enough of there shows of domination. The both stopped and looked where she was pointing frantically.

“Stupid idiot Inuyasha, look what you’ve done, you let him get away” accursed Sesshomaru.

“Stop now before I beat you both, we have to go after him now…ok…is that alright with you to or would you rather stay here and play some more” She huffed.

“Bitches” They both mumbled under there breath. Kagome sighed and walked up between the two and bopped them both on the back of the head.

“I heard you, you idiots” She ran past them after Naraku.

“KAGOME, WAIT YOU IDIOT” Insulting her as he ran after her. Sesshomaru followed after the two at a normal pace. He wouldn’t reduce himself to Inuyasha’s level and run.

Kagome leapt in to the air, and jumped over Naraku’s back. She landed facing him, “So running away again Naraku.” Naraku looked at her from under his baboon head hood. There she was the one that always ruined his carefully laid plans. Kagome could smell the anger rolling off him in waves. “So you are weak now, I bet I could have killed you as a human the way you are now.”

“You shouldn’t get to cocky bitch” He did bother with the false politeness this time. This time he just attacked. A tentacle shot out of his body and rapped around her neck, and pulled her off the ground. Kagome grabbed at the tentacle that was strangling her. She saw Inuyasha come running with a panicked expression and let her body relax. She even smiled. This of course scared Inuyasha half to death.

Just when he was about to call out to her, she formed the energy wipe. She put real power into this time, and it sliced and melted him into large pieces. Kagome landed on the ground with grace. She jumped behind Inuyasha and commanded him to use his sword. His eyebrow twitched in annoyance, “Damn you bitch. Why’da have to go all limp like that.”

She gave him a funny look, “Were you worried.”

“Keh…of course I was.” He pouted, giving enough time for Sesshomaru to casually walk up beside him and slash at Naraku’s wriggling body parts with Tokijin. “Hey you jackass, this is my fight why don’t you go home and play lord…I can handle him with out you” and to prove his point he did his own move. He made dust out of the chunks that Sesshomaru’s sword left of Naraku.

Kagome dusted her hands off, “Well that was easy, kind of anti climatic don’t you think.”

“Anti climatic, what the hell is that?” Inuyasha asked.

“Um…well its kinda like I didn’t expect it to end this easily…I mean I picd ald all of us battling hard for a while, I thought for sure one of us was going to get hurt. I was always afraid that someone wouldn’t walk away from this, but now it’s over…it’s finally over” She laughed holding her hand to her mouth.

“What’s wrong with your now” He backed away slightly.

“Its funny another thing I thought about before I changed has been resolved; I don’t even have a choice now to stay or to go. This is my home now…and this is my body now and forever…but you know what this means don’t you Inuyasha” She looked at him, and he looked sorta goofy “I took you wish for myself I’m sorry.” She said sorta the way she used when she would apologize for loosing the jewel shards. Inuyasha started laughing now. “What are you laughing for Inuyasha, are you in shock” She walked up to him touching his face to see if he was ok.

He pushed her hands away from his face, but still holding them, “I think you were born to have it, only you could make a wish like that pure. Will you stay with me now forever?”

Kagome blushed a pretty demon blush and asked the question that she was programmed to ask, “But what about Kikyo?”

Inuyasha gave a heavy bored sigh, “Kagome…Kikyo is a clay pot, would you fuck a clay pot, now that my debt is paid to her I’m free to live my life with you,” he grips her hands to his heart “So will you stay by my side.”

The both were started from there fluffy cloud of love by gagging noises, “My Inuyasha…I never new you were so sappy.” Inuyasha pulled away from Kagome and rushed claws first at Sesshomaru, but when he got to wear Sesshomaru was, he wasn’t there anymore. In stead he was holding Kagome’s clawed hands in much the same way Kouga often did. Inuyasha was stunned.

Kagome looked up as Sesshomaru with a glare, She could clearly see he was trying to piss Inuyasha off, “Kagome I’ve something to give you please follow me to my castle.” Inuyasha growled and leapt forward again, and again he missed by miles. Sesshomaru was already in the air, “You can bring that mutt of yours with you, but I must insist that you keep him outside, I don’t think he’s house broken.”

“You bastard come down here and fight…I’ll show you who’s house broken…Fucker I’ll brake you” Inuyasha yelled at the retreating cloud his brother was flying way on.

Kagome walked up to him and used her hands to gently pull his face in her direction. She kissed him before he could say another curse. His body relaxed and gently pulled her closer to his body. She held onto the kiss for as long as she could; loving the feel of their tongues battling together, but alas one must breathe sometime. So she gently pulled away from his lips. She moved away only enough to draw breath, “I’ll stay with you forever Inuyasha, just as long as you stay by my side to, I think Kikyo truly did love you Inuyasha” He pulled back, a little taken aback by her words.

“Why do you say that” He asked with honest curiosity.

“If she hadn’t loved you so much, then why did I come here, I mean I am her reincarnated soul even though I am not here I believe that when Kikyo was really alive that she loved you” She kissed his nose then pulled out of his arms and grabbed his hand. “Now let’s go see what Sesshomaru wants to give me” Inuyasha instantly growled.
