Author Note: Good morning everyone! I can possibly get one or two chapters this morning and then some later. I have a lot to do today, but when you're a writer, time doesn't matter.

Chapter 7: The Night Before
"No!"
"Yes."
"NO!"
The nurse groaned then. "Sometimes I wish you would learn that we won't hurt you," she said and Yasha stuck her tongue out at her with her arms crossed on her ch "Y "You stuck me once today with that needle," she said. "You ain't doing that again!" "Do we have to call your father down here again?" the nurse complained.
Yasha hesitated then. They had to call Inuyasha at least six times to get her to do things and once with Kagome. She was glad she couldn't see the look on their faces because of that. "Why do you have to ge more blood out of me?" she whined. "It's normal before surgery to run some tests," the nurse said firmlyYou You don't want to be sick while you're in there, do you?" Yasha snorted. "I hardly get sick," she said but let her arm out. She felt the hand with her IV in it begin to hurt slightly and just sighed. "You're lucky I'm used to pain, lady," she said. The nurse rolled her eyes and drew the sample. "Dinner should be here soon," she said putting a bandage over the. ". "Just sit tight." She left the room and Yasha felt the quiet grow around her.
After dinner, Yasha became rather bored. There was nothing to do, nothing to see. Then she remembered the Walkman Kagome brought to help calm her nerves. She reached over and felt the nightstand until her hand rested on the small radio and lifted it in her lap. "Let's see," she said and put the headphones over her ears and then turned it on to hear loud rock music that nearly s her her up too much. She took the headphones off and frowned. "Not a good idea," she said putting it back. She sighed heavily and rested against the pillow of the bed.
"Hello in here!" a voice said and she felt her ears twitch to the sound. She sniffed the air and smiled. "Hi, Mrs. Higurashi," she said and Kagome's mom walked inside. "Excited about tomorrow?" she asked. "Yeah," Yasha said. "I just wish I wasn't so bored right now." Just then, she heard a familar SIT BOY! "You brought Papa and Kag" s" she asked in shock. "They wanted to spend the night with you tonight despite the fact you said you wanted to stay alone," she explained. "But between you and me, I think he's here to flirt with the nurses."
Yasha giggled then. "He's always been a ladies man when he wanted to be," she said and they chuckled. Just then, Kagome walked in and pushed back a strand of black hair. "Hey, Yash," she said kissing her forehead. "Hey, Kagome," Yasha answered. "Dammit, Kagome," a male voice grumbled. "That floor ain't soft you know." "Well, if you would stop grinning at all the nurses and I didn't hear them giggling, you wouldn't have a knot on your head," Kagome answered.
Inuyasha sighed. "Was I really doing that?" he asked. "I thought I was grinning at you." Kagome growled slightly. "Ok, OK!" he pleaded. "Don't sit me in here please!" Yasha laughed then. "At least someone saw the humor," Mrs. Higurashi said seriously. "I have to get home to Souta and Grandpa. I'll be back tomorrow." "Byem,"m," Kagome said and sat down in a chair turning on the TV. Inuyasha looked at Yasha and sighed. "I heard you almost had another incident with a nurse again," he said sitting down. "If they draw blood from me one more time, I'll do it to them," she said sternly. "Yasha Sierra, you try that stunt and it's gonna be trouble," he said sternly and she sighed. "Sorry, Papa," she said.
"What did you have for dinner?" Kagome asked. "I ain't sure," Yasha said. "From the look at the mess, she probably had a cheeseburger, fries, and a soda and ice cream," Inuyasha said and Kagome looked at him. "Someone knows my world better than I thought," she said and color rose to his cheeks. "Just a little," he said. "If I could figure out how to use that bastard of a dishwasher, I'd be fine." "Where's Shippo?" Yasha asked suddenly. "He's staying with Souta tonight," Kagome explained. "When we left, those two were playing video games. For a beginner, it looked like Shippo was beating Souta to a pulp." Yasha smiled then.
Later that night, Inuyasha held Yasha in his arms while she slept being careful of the IV in her arm while Kagome had her head down on the bed in her arms asleep. He didn't feel like pingping at that moment. He was more in the protective stage of watching over his family. Yasha had her thumb in her mouth while she slept and the other hand clutching Inuyasha's shirt. The nurse had given her some medicine in her IV to make sure she slept and it seemed to be working.
Inuyasha's POV
Yasha looked like the angel she was ir slr sleep. All she needed was the halo. As I watch her sleep, I think about tomorrow and how nervous I would be while she's in there getting her eyes fixed. I knew it would be hell when it was over due to pain, but the greatest reward was to see her look at me and grin. Kagome was excited too, but had to force herself to sleep just in case she fell out while Yasha was out of our sight. This all happened because of her. In ways, I can repay her by being her husband. in in others, there's no way I could repay her for the happiness she brought in my life and in Yasha's. I hope tomorrow will bring with it new light. Naraku, you ain't got shit on this family. It's time your evil ways were rid of once and for all and you can rest in the fires of hell forever without laughing over one little girl's life you tried to ruin. Return to your hell, Naraku. It's over and we won the war.
