Chapter 6

The person came out of the bushes fully only to show that it was a sheepish Koga.
“Sorry,” Koga said sheepishly, “I got the scent of a pack member in trouble and followed it…hi Kagome.”
Kagome went bright red, “Hi.”
“Kagome-Okkasan why don’t the two of you just mate and bond already?” Shippo asked innocently causing laughter to break out and for Kagome and Koga to blush bright red.
Remembering her talk with Harry, Kagome stepped forward, “W-what do you mean by you scented a pack member in danger?”
“Well you all, especially Kagome, are pack with everything we’ve been through send certain……bonds and feelings……but this pack member’s scent I’m getting is new,” Koga said as he sniffed the air, “It's strongest from Inuyasha…have you met anyone new lately Inuyasha?”
The others shared a look; they could all sense Koga’s minions guarding them all around the edge of their area.
“I’ve found my mate,” Inuyasha growled out, “Now move, we need to get my mate to Kaede’s village.”
“Mate?” Koga asked perking up and sniffing the air before giving Inuyasha a glare, “where is your submissive? Show me your mate.”
The white Inuyoaki hanyou and Wolf demon prince glared at each other, neither moving from their ground.
“Alright you two, that’s enough, we need to get Harry to Kaede so stop this foolishness,” Kagome said as she walked forward and removed Inuyasha’s red Hakmou/Kimono to reveal Harry’s feverish flushed face.
“Lupin’s pup!” Koga cried out much to the groups shock, “How’d you find Lupin’s pup?”
“Lupin’s pup?” they all parroted in confusion.
“What are you talking about?” Sango asked.
Koga sighed, “The pup’s scent tells me that his been poisoned so let’s get on the way to Kaede’s village and on the way I’ll explain things.”
“What about your puppies?” Shippo asked getting a raised eyebrow from Koga.
“They’ll guard us as we travel so we can get Lupin’s pup to Kaede faster,” Koga said as they began to walk towards Kaede’s village.
“Well,” Koga said with Kagome at his side, “Lupin, Remus Lupin, is a werewolf from Kagome’s time. I meet him when he was only a pup himself, thanks to a bit of trouble with what he called a ‘time turner’. From then on we meet when we could and became friends. Lupin told us everything, including about the Magical World as we are pack, and we found out about his pup, Harry.”
Koga paused and moved towards Harry and ran his hand through Harry’s hair as if the Inu-hanyou was his own pup before continuing on with his explanation.
“Because of what happened with the Magical World's war, Harry being an Inu-hanyou and Remus’ pup, and Remus dying along with Remus’ last wishes Harry is now considered one of my pack, a pup of the pack and my adopted, in a way, son.”
“So do I have to ask for your permission to mate with Harry?” Inuyasha asked with a look at Koga who was walking next to him.
“You don’t need to ask for you already have it like I have permission to court and mate with the top female in your pack,” Koga said with a glance at a red faced Kagome being teased playfully by Sango and Miroku while Shippo watched in confusion.
“Correct,” Inuyasha said with a nod as he looked up at the sky, “We’ve been walking for a bit now so let’s stop and give Harry a break.”
And with that they had a break which allowed Harry to be sorted out and checked over before continuing on.
This pattern of rest, travel, rest, travel lasted for a couple of days until finally they entered Kaede’s village.
“We’ve finally made it!” cheered Kagome, ignoring the smirk on Koga’s face as she bounced up and down in excitement, making her bust move as well.
Inuyasha looked lovingly down at the sleeping Harry, “And only a few more minutes until we get medical help for Harry-Love.”
With that they started to walk towards Kaede’s hut where the old lady was sweeping outside of her house.
