Wooing Stubborn Mates

Chapter 5

The old woman gave them a smirk, "Why yes, didn't Harry ever tell you that he's from the future and goes to Hogwarts!"

“Hogwarts? You go to a school for pigs with warts?” Inuyasha asked with a raised eyebrow as the group looked at the old woman who had gotten out an old washboard and wooden spoon and began to play them.

“I think someone’s gone in the head,” Kagome muttered to herself as Harry quickly lead them through the village, past a few more curious villagers, as they walked on a path in a set route.

“Where are we going?” Shippo asked innocently as he looked at his new big brother.

“My home,” Harry said with a soft smile, he always had a soft spot for children, “There’s plenty of room for you all to stay there for a while.”

Sesshomaru had been quiet up until now, but he had been closely watching his submissive mate and things didn’t seem to quite add up.

‘It’s like his from the same time as Kagome’ Sesshomaru thought as he watched the way Harry held himself and spoke.

“Sesshomaru? Sesshomaru? Sesshomaru!”

Inuyasha voice broke Sesshomaru out of his thoughts, “We're here.”

Sesshomaru quickly looked at his surroundings; shocked that just one emerald eyed kitsune could have made him let his guard down this much, but putting that to the back of his mind Sesshomaru found the area and house to be perfect through he wouldn’t say anything.

The surrounding area seemed to be split into different areas, one was a small vegetable patch, another was a training area, the next one was a place to hang out and the last area seemed to be where Harry hung his freshly washed clothes. Also behind the house there seemed to be an old forest while in front of the house was the village they had just walked through. It seemed that Harry’s house was a sort of divider of some sort between the village and the old forest.

The house was small through it had the space to hold all of them comfortably. It also seemed to be made of the same type of material as the other huts yet it seemed to look a lot like a house that Inuyasha had seen in Kagome’s time.

“You going to stand there all day or come in?” Harry asked as he with the two children entered the house and left their shoes in the area for them.

Quickly the two male inu’s and priestess entered the house only to find the home to be a crossover of English and Japanese. One would think that these two different styles would clash and not go together at all only to find that in fact they came together to create a perfect place to live, a true home.

“I take it that you approve,” Harry said with a mock bow gaining Shippo’s and Rin’s laughter.

“Whatever, I’m going to explore,” Inuyasha said as he exited the house while muttering, “Got to make sure my pack and new pup area is safe.”

“If you would like to freshen up then there’s a bathroom down the hallway and the third door on the left,” Harry said to Kagome as he pointed in the direction, “Feel free to pick whichever room, but any that are locked or have some feel of magic to them is off limits, plus the bedroom with the picture of the animals playing together under the full moon, that’s my room.”

“Thank you, Shippo, Rin, come on, bath time,” Kagome said as she took the hands of her two youngest children and lead them in the direction of the bathroom.

While Harry was talking to Kagome, Sesshomaru couldn’t help but find that his eyes was glued to the behind of one kitsune, his mates who seemed to have a weird fetish of throwing him into trees. Oh Harry may not be his now, but he would woo his stubborn mate’s sandals off, and then once he had his mate within his arms forever he’d make sure his mate was nice and full with their child by-

“Sesshomaru! Did I throw you into that tree a little too hard?”

“No,” Sesshomaru said as he tried to hide his surprise as his little mate broke his chain of thought, “This Sesshomaru was merely thinking is all.”

“Well then ‘this Sesshomaru’ can think his own way to his room,” Harry said as he turned and disappeared down the hallway that Kagome, Shippo and Rin had earlier and a few seconds later a loud slamming sound of a door being slammed to was heard.

Sesshomaru’s demon sense’s picked up the scent of the old woman from earlier standing on the borders of the house. Being careful, Sesshomaru walked out of the house and towards the old woman who was giving him a wrinkled smile.

“You want to know about your stubborn mate?” the old woman said as she gave her wrinkled smile, “Come with me then…”

Sesshomaru, leaving his brain and common sense behind, followed the old, mad, woman intended on finding out more about his mate.

In the tree tops, Harry stood balancing on a branch as he watched the two, “He could always of just asked.”

Harry watched the scene play out and his ‘mate’ follow the old woman.

With a sigh, Harry followed the pair while a signal thought ran through his mind:

‘Why do I get the feeling that this new development with a mate isn’t going to be normal for me like it is for everyone else?’
