Return Home

“Hey Yasha?” Kagome called out into the dark bedroom as she lay in the bed not able to sleep.

“Yeah?” Inuyasha asked as he turned to face her.

“I was thinking…” she started.

“About what?” Inuyasha asked as he pulled her into his arms.

“About us returning home…” Kagome whispered.

Inuyasha looked at her, “Do you think you’re ready to return?” he asked gently.

“I’m tired of hiding and I want us to be happy and around our families.” She smiled as she looked into his golden eyes.

“We can return anytime you wish to.”

“Thank you Yasha.” Kagome kissed Inuyasha’s lips and cuddled up to him.

“You’re welcome…” with those words whispered into the dark of the night they both fell asleep.

***SCHOOL***

Miroku, Sango and Shippo stared slack-jawed at Sesshomaru.

“What did you say?” they all asked at once.

“Rin is pregnant.” Sesshomaru whispered so low that they had to struggle to hear him.

“Is the baby yours?” Miroku asked in all seriousness.

“Of course it is!” Sesshomaru yelled outraged.

“Just making sure, damn calm down Sesshomaru. Everyone knows Rin’s rep around here.” Miroku grumbled.

“That was the past and this is the future. She’s changed Miroku.” Sesshomaru said.

“What kind of bullshit are you trying to sell? Nothing’s changed. A leopard can’t change its spots.” Miroku said.

“What are you going to do?” Shippo asked, trying to take the convo into peaceful territory.

“She wants to keep the baby and honestly I think it would be good for her to have another person to care for. Maybe it will straighten her out some…” he trailed off as he spotted the growing crowd near a car that had just pulled in.

“Hey isn’t that Inuyasha and Kagome?” someone asked as they walked by the group headed to the gathering crowd.

They all stopped talking and turned in time to see a parting in the crowd. They saw Inuyasha step out of the car and walk around to the passenger side.

They couldn’t believe their eyes. Kagome looked stunning. She had a nice soft tan and wore short jean shorts that showed off her long legs. She wore a white tank top that showed that she had a nice breast size and a small flat belly. She had a chocker with a heart on as well as a multi-layer necklace. She was dead sexy and looked happy. She wore little to no make-up just the basics. Green eyeshadow, and pinkish-coral lip gloss where the only things gracing her face.

Sesshomaru growled deep in his throat as he spotted the mating mark upon her shoulder. He wasn’t even aware of his growl until everyone was staring at him.

“Is there a problem?” Kagome asked.

Sesshomaru growled again, but didn’t say anything.

“Will you stop growling at my mate dear brother?” Inuyasha asked while he brought an arm around Kagome’s waist.

Everyone gasped and stared between the two brothers and to Kagome. They didn’t know what was going to happen.

“Mate?” Miroku smiled a genuine smile at Inuyasha.

Inuyasha grinned at Miroku and hugged his friend, “Hey Roku. It’s good to see you man.” He said, he looked at Kagome and then back up at the others. “Yeah mate… We mated a few days ago in Hawaii. We do plan on having a wedding ceremony though.” He replied.

“A wedding! OMG!” Sango ran up to Kagome and gave her a huge hug. “I am invited right? I mean I am your best friend. So I’m invited right? Right?” she said practically jumping up and down in all of her excitement.

Kagome laughed at her long time best friend. “Of course you’re invited Sango. I actually wanted you to be the maid-of-honor.” Kagome bit her lip to keep from laughing.

“Yesssss. Oh yessss!” Sango yelled at the top of her lungs in excitement as she hugged Kagome close to her.

“When is the wedding going to take place?” Shippo asked as he tried to hug Kagome. “Hey Sango will you share Kagome with the rest of us please? You freaking Kagome-hog!” Shippo yelled.

Sango and Kagome laughed at Shippos frustration. Kagome hugged her friend. “I’m not sure yet, but once we set a date you’ll be the first to know alright?” Kagome asked trying to please her friend.

“Yes!” Shippo highfived Miroku. “It’s about time you two got together.” Shippo said excitedly.

“Excuse me?” a cold voice rang through the group.

Everyone looked to see a very angry Sesshomaru.

“What’s wrong with you Sesshomaru?” Miroku asked with an evil glint to his eyes.

“They come back as mates and you are happy. I decide to be with Rin and… you hate me. What’s up with that?” he couldn’t understand their logic on this subject.

“What did you expect us to say?” Shippo asked.

“Anything! Most of the time you all glare at me. You never include Rin either, but you’ll open your arms to these two?” Sesshomaru huffed out.

“Fine then. Congrats on being a total dick by cheating on your loving, beautiful girlfriend. OH! And congrats on getting the biggest whore of the school pregnant, if the child is even yours.” Sango yelled for all to hear.

“You vindictive bitch!” an angry voice yelled, and it wasn’t who they were expecting.

Rin stood there with tears in her eyes and an angry look on her face all for Sango.

“How dare you call me a whore!” Rin yelled as she walked up to Sango and got in her face.

“Well it’s true! You sleep around with almost every guy in this school. I bet that child, if you are in fact pregnant isn’t even Sesshomarus! The only reason you wanted Sesshomaru in the first place was for his wealth and status. You are the lowest of the low Rin so deal with it!” Sango yelled.

“What would you know Sango. You don’t even know me!” Rin yelled.

“I don’t have to know you. I saw you with my own eyes last month with that disgusting Naraku in his car.” Sango gasped. She hadn’t meant to say that out loud. It was just that Rin was pissing her off completely.

“What?” Sesshomaru asked.

Kagome wanted to laugh at the look on Rin’s face. It seemed that her eyes were currently bugging out of her little head. She looked at Sesshomaru and wanted to laugh again. He looked so… regretful and hurt actually. She knew that someone had to say something to change the tone of the conversation before someone got hurt.

“Sango it’s not your place to judge Rin. Rin… I guess congratulations are in order.” Kagome tried to shake hands with Rin.

“Don’t touch me!” Rin turned on Kagome.

“I was just trying to congratulate you Rin.” Kagome said.

“I don’t want you anywhere near me. You disgust me. This is all your fault!” Rin yelled.

Kagome tried, she really did. She tried not to get mad with Rin.

“How is this my fault? I haven’t even been here.” Kagome said in a bored tone.

“Yeah, that’s right you ran off with your lover, you dirty little whore! I knew you weren’t as pure as Sesshomaru believed. I knew he could do better.” Rin said with pure hate.

“Excuse me? Can you please repeat that Rin because I’m positive I didn’t hear you right just now.” Kagome said in a deadly voice.

“You are nothing more than a good-for-nothing whore. You were fucking Inuyasha behind Sesshomaru’s back the whole time. You were a disgrace to him. No wonder he picked me over your ugly ass. He didn’t sleep with you because he couldn’t bare the thought of touching you’re repulsive body.” Rin said.

Kagome’s hand moved before she even realized what she was doing.

SMACK

Rin brought her hand to her cheek in shock. Kagome had slapped her… actually slapped her.

Everyone moved back a little at the scary look that graced Kagome’s face. She was PISSED THE FUCK OFF.

“Don’t you dare talk about things you know nothing about you little girl. Don’t you charge me with your crimes. I was pure while with Sesshomaru and he damn well knows it. I don’t have to answer to your pathetic ass. And don’t you dare ruin the love that was between us. It is not my fault that you are unhappy with what you thought you wanted. This is your own doing. You made your bed Rin, so fucking sleep in it and shut up!” Kagome yelled at Rin. She took a deep breath before continuing her little speech. “I hope you have everything you wanted Rin. I hope you can look in the mirror in the morning without being sick from the pain you have caused others for your own selfish needs. I wish you the very best in life and I prey to whatever god you believe in that your son or daughter is nothing like YOU!” Kagome looked at the shocked Sesshomaru and glared daggers at him.

“This is what you hurt me for? This is why you destroyed what we built together? This trash?” Kagome then grabbed Inuyasha’s hand and walked away.

Miroku, Sango and Shippo shook their head at Sesshomaru and followed Kagome and Inuyasha.

I hope you guys loved this one. I'm just so busy that's why it's taking so long. I'm a mommy that's going to college currently and volunteering at a hospital so yeah I'm quite busy mostly. I'll keep this up though so just bare with me. The next chapter I'll have review responses for whoever reviews from this one. I'm sorry that I didn't continue with them this time.
