Still don't have a beta so sorry if there are too many mistakes. I try my best you know.





I really don't have much to go by if you all don't tell me what you think of the story. Please let me know if you like it or not and I can keep posting. Otherwise my muse might get sad and stop my vicious little hands from typing *-(









I walk with purpose to the front door. I see Jinenji give me an odd look as I walk up to him. “I did not see you leave Kags, how is this possible?” He looks at me with confusion.



“Don’t worry there Jinenji, I just need to get back in as quick as possible.” I look up to him and he smiles. “On one condition miko, I get one of your heavenly hugs.” A resounding growl is registered from behind me and I look over my shoulder, “Oh shut it dog boy, Jinenji is one of my best friends.” I throw myself at the massive hanyou and he catches me with no effort. I hear the growl growing louder so I decide rather than pushing fate I start to dislodge myself from my personal teddy bear. “Are you sure you are alright? You smell different to me and I am not sure that is a good thing.” He looks over my shoulder as he releases me to my feet to glare at InuYasha.



“Yeah shit head, she smells like me for a reason. Now keep your damn hands to yourself from now on. She is with me.” InuYasha says to the massive man. Jinenji shrugs it off and lets us pass with no more to say.



“What are you doing? Just because you came to me after this horrible experience does not give you the right to tell me who I do and don’t hug.” I stand in front of him with my hands on my hips and head cocked to the left. “Feh” he responds scoffing at me.



“Miko.” I turn to see the Taiyoukai that saved me. “You will tell this Sesshomaru if you are unharmed.” He states in a stoic fashion.



I have to look up to get a good look at him. I get to my knees and bow with my head touching the floor, “Lord Sesshomaru, thank you so much for rescuing me from a fate that could have been worse than death for me. I am forever in your debt. Please let me know how you would see fit to have me repay this debt.”



I stay in this position until I hear his angelic voice, “This Sesshomaru has no need for this debt to be repaid. You are a strong miko that was incapacitated by a coward of a hanyou that could not face you at your full strength. You have shown me the respect that comes with my station. You are absolved of any debt.” He tilts his head in the slightest bow and walks back to his mate.



I stand carefully and turn to see the pissed off gaze of InuYasha. “What the hell did you do that for? He doesn’t deserve your respect. He has been spouting his hatred for humans for the last 75 years to me.” He has his fists balled up at his side and I can see him trying to keep control.



“I have to make amends and pay the debts I owe. He saved my life InuYasha and my dignity. Not to mention my innocence.” I blush. “Lay off him anyway. I am assuming he is your brother, right?” I ask.



“Half Brother and he may as well not be, he hates me just as much as humans.” He looks down at the ground and then off to the side. I can see that this bothers him more than he is letting on so I decide to drop it.



“Sango…Sango…There you are.” I run in my socked feet to my best friend and launch myself into her arms. She looks at me, “Oh my Kami Kagome, are you ok? Did you get hurt? Please tell me…” She asks trying to make sure I am uninjured.



“I am fine Sango, I promise. Nothing too severe happened. InuYasha healed my only wound.” I think back to his tender tongue and give a slight shiver.



“I am so sorry that I wasn’t with you. I was so busy enjoying the houshi that I forgotten that you went off by yourself. Can you forgive me?” She looks at me with pleading eyes.



“You are my best friend and sister. Don’t think for a second if you were with me you might not have been in the same boat I was.” I lean in again and give her a long hug. I pull away from her and give her a kiss on the cheek. “It’s time to move on with the night…What have I missed?” I ask trying to keep the mood lightened.



“Feh, silly girl just about gets raped and she wants to know what’s going on in here.” InuYasha lets out a low chuckle to Miroku who has now joined the group.



“We found these on the ground outside and thought you might need them.” He hands me my skates and I gladly accept them with a smile.



“You missed ladies skate. That’s about it. I think we have one more regular song and then couples skate. Yura said she had about 3 more songs after that and then free session is over. Are you sure you are going to be up to try outs?” Sango asks as I start to put on my skates.



“Are you kidding me? There isn’t a chance in hell I ain’t making the Rockets. No stupid fuckin hanyou bastard is going to make me miss something I have been waiting for the last 3 years.” I spat out with more venom than I wanted.



Sango flinched a little, “I’m sorry, I am not trying to take this out on you. It’s just been a really weird night.” I finish and stand only to look over to the skate counter to see Kikyo leering at us. I make a small move to get closer to InuYasha. He notices this and puts his arm around my waist and nuzzles my neck. I here a loud grunt and see Kikyo turning to the office and slamming the door.



As I stand there enjoying InuYasha’s embrace, I hear one of my favorite songs Rhythm is a Dancer. It’s got a great beat. I look to Sango and screech loudly. I see InuYasha’s ears plaster to his head instantly. We rip ourselves away from our boy toys and rush to the floor. By this time of the night, most of the little kids are too pooped to keep going so we have a rink full of the good skaters. I take the lead with Sango in tow as I start a really basic side to side jam. Almost anyone can do this one, it’s still pretty low level but it felt good to do something normal for me and not too taxing. I see Yura dropping out of the DJ booth for an unexpected appearance and she drops in behind Sango. We flow with the grace of any on the floor. It doesn’t go overlooked by our guys that we have a full demon following us and not vice versa. I start a pass on the inside of a set of demons that start to hiss at me. I wink and blow them a kiss as I look at the girls behind me and nod. We all drop to down in a squat, pop up and turn towards the handsome neko men and we each wink. The one in the front actually stumbled.



The song is a little over half way over when I notice InuYasha, Miroku and Sesshomaru a bit behind us in their own line. InuYasha is now sporting a nice tight red t shirt. It shows off all of his muscles just lusciously. They were doing the same jam we were, how convenient. I slow my pace a bit and move to the inside. “What’s goin on Kags? Why are you slowing down?” I incline my head to the men and they get the drift. As they approach, they are all looking at us with odd expressions. I scoot over to InuYasha, “May I cut in sir?” I give him a smirk. He gives a nod and I look over my shoulder to see Sesshomaru step out of line along with Yura. I get in between Inu and Miroku and I see Sango drop in right behind Miroku. I knew she would do that, she likes a nice ass just as much as that guy does.



“Think you can keep up princess?” He tilts his little doggy ears my way to get my reaction.



“Bring it on Fluffy” He gives me an incredulous look and starts moving his feet. I see his right foot snake in front of his left and then kicks off to the side. He repeats this with his left. I get it quick and after about 10 feet we are all in unison.



“Ok, try this one princess.” He’s calling me out in front of everyone. Little does he know that I am not one to be out done… Ever… As we start to get on the 2nd straight away, “Keep back until you see what I am doing.” He says to me over his shoulder. I take his advice and so do the 2 behind me. As we reach the corner, he takes his left foot and puts it forward and does the quickest turn I have ever seen. He then comes out of the spin to do another with his right foot forward and then another spin with his left. At the end of the last spin, he does a squat and a jump in that position. I actually let out a laugh.



“What’s so funny wench?” He says to me in what must amount to his annoyed voice.



“Nothin at all. Sango you ready?” InuYasha drops back to where Miroku is and lets us move forward. I look at her and she nods as she is barely containing her laughter. We do the same exact move on the next corner except at the end of the last spin, instead of a squat jump, we take it to the next level and add what we liked to call a butt slide on the wall. We executed these moves perfectly since we had been doing them all for years. This was actually the 1st time we had even considered how good they would look if we did them all together. So we kind of learned something new, but not really.



InuYasha looks on from behind the beauties and smirks. He figured they would know this one but had to give them a little test. Kag’s called him out on being fast so he was calling her out on her jam, he was not disappointed. He looks at Miroku and nods, they know these girls are more than they hoped when they saw them and this just proved it to them.



The song ends and they all move to the table with the refreshments. Kag’s throws everything that is on the tray on the table in the trash. “What the fuck?”



“How do you think I was incapacitated? The stupid fucker actually told me he put a draught in my water. There is no way that I am going to touch anything that was left unattended at this table.” She says to all there.



I skate over to Ayumi at the concession stand, leaving the group at the table, “Hey girl I need 4 bottles of water. Please put it on my tab.” As she is retrieving the water I notice Hojo for the 1st time tonight. I didn’t know he was going to be here.



“Hey Hojo! What’s going on? I haven’t seen you in such a long time. How have you been?” I ask as I continue to wait for Ayumi.



“Kags…It is great to see you. I am doing pretty well. I am going to be starting college in the fall so I figured I would get this out of my system before I have to grow up.” He laughs and smiles at me. I still wonder to myself why he is so nice to me after I dumped him. He truly was just about the nicest guy I had ever met and I am kind of sad that it didn’t work out for us. We were together for almost a year too.



“I have to get back to my friends. It was really great to see you. Are you sticking around for the try outs?”



“Yeah, I am here to root you and Sango on. You know there is no way I would go for that sort of thing anymore. I am just too slow.” He says to me.



I giggle at him in my own knowing way. “Thanks for your support Hojo. See you later.” I get the water from Ayumi and make my way back to the table with my friends.



“Drink up guys; this is the last of the charity you get from me. I am totally broke and I think this might have put me in the red with the sisters.” I laugh.



“You shouldn’t do that Kags. Weren’t you the one who was just complaining about your car and something about priorities? I think these two gentleman, I use the term loosely, can take care of their own shit for the rest of the night.” Sango says.



“No, it was the very least I could do for all that they have done for me. Especially considering that this is their 1st night here and look at all the drama I have put you two through.” I turn to the men and see them both smiling.



“It’s not like I can do more than this anyway. Like I said, the least I can do. It’s not like we will get to see you again either.” I look away sadly knowing that there is next to no chance that I will see either of these guys again. I can tell Sango is deep in thought and had come to the same conclusion.



“Kagome, did I not tell you earlier tonight that we would be training here once we made the team?” Miroku says to us all. I see Sango’s face light up like a Christmas tree at this.



“Yes but talk is just that, talk houshi. It’s hard for me to take everything you say at face value. I know you have not led me astray but I don’t know you from Adam.” I was being completely honest with them.



“And as much as I would like to say that I couldn’t wait to see you,” I look to InuYasha, “again. I have to be realistic about things. I will make The Rockets as will Sango. Sango will go to Nationals and I will move on with my life once she leaves for college. I will live in my little shrine and try to live a happy fruitful life.” I can tell the look on my face must have been just miserable. I am saying this for not only their benefits but my own as well. It was time for me to face the music. I was almost 18 and this was what was going to happen, no if’s ands or buts about it.



I find myself in the tight embrace of my Adonis as he leans in. He bent his head and laced the fingers of one hand into my hair, pulling my head back slightly. He pressed me against his body with his free hand and settled his lips gently over mine. I was not expecting this and I guess neither was anyone around me because they all looked like they were trying to catch flies with their mouths gaping open. Plus it’s not like I ever had this kind of pda with anyone anyway. Hojo was too much of a gentleman to do that in public. Not like he did it much in private either but I digress.



“What the hell are you talking about wench?” InuYasha says tersely. “I ain’t letting you go for nothing. That means that I will be coming to Tokyo whether we both make the team or not.” I gasp at this. I couldn’t believe that he would do something like this.



“You don’t even know me InuYasha. How could you be willing to uproot your whole life and come here?” I am still in complete shock as I am brought in for another deep kiss.



“What are you doing? Are you trying to distract me or something?” I ask breathlessly.



“No princess, I am trying to show you why I would uproot myself and come to Tokyo. Only for you would I do that. You are going to be mine.” He says to me confidently.



I smile one of my award winning smiles at him, “Well let’s just see if you’re fast enough for me 1st.”
