Phone Call
A/n: Okay, I’ve come to the realization that I cant plan these’s stupid chapters. As I wanted to make this chapter to be the date… yea not so much. Maybe next chapter… I mean, there’s only so much one can do in one night right? *sweat drop* never mind…
Chapter six: Phone call
Kagome sat in her room, her nose in a book. Even though it seemed like she was reading it, her mind was far from the story in her hands. Instead it was on a young demon that seemed to be slowly worming his way into her heart. His alluring sunset eyes seemed to draw her into his world, seeming to take her breath away. His long silver hair flowed almost like water. She even wondered if it was as soft as it looked. The silver color didn’t have anything to match its wonderful color.
Kagome sighed softly and shut her book. She couldn’t keep her mind off of him! The soft touch of his lips, the warmth of his breath everything about him drove her nuts. Kagome had tried so hard to ignore him. But ever sense he had saved her on that rainy day, she never forgot him. Her eyes seemed to wonder for him, hoping to get a glimpse of him. When she found out whom her savor was, her whole world crashed around her. And now here Sesshomaru was, the biggest playboy in the whole school, asking her to one of the plays that she always wanted to see. But… how did he know she wanted to see the Phantom of the Opera? That’s when it hit her.
Picking up her phone, she groaned to hear her little brother on the phone. “Sota, get off the phone with Rin.” She practically snapped. Hanging up the phone and picking up the phone again, she instantly dialed the only person who knew who would know her hobbies and dreams.

Sesshomaru sat in his own room, his computer on, flipping though Kagome’s face book. He only got it because, of course, his idiotic brother told him. Though he couldn’t call him that anymore. After all, it was thanks to him that he had all the inside information of Kagome he could get.
*Ring*
The demon looked over at his phone, arching a silver eyebrow. For once, it sounded angry. He honestly never heard a phone sound angry before. Yet, for some reason, this one did.
*Ring*
He looked at the caller ID, causing more questions to pop up. Higurashi? Wasn’t that Kagome’s last name? Why was she calling him? Was it to ask more about the date for tomorrow? Yet he still couldn’t shake off the feeling that the phone call was going to cause his ears to bleed.
*Ring*
With a small sigh, Sesshomaru gathered his wits and picked up the phone. “Taisho residence.” He answered his voice calm as he flipped though a picture of Kagome at the beach with her friends.
“Let me talk to Inuyasha.” Kagome practically hissed. “Now Sesshomaru.”
Sesshomaru arched his eyebrow once more. “Why should I do that my dear Kagome? Wouldn’t your business be with me, not the Hanyou?”
“Cut the crap Sesshomaru!” She all but shouted, causing Sesshomaru to pull the phone from his ear. “Give him the phone or I swear to go I’m going to come over there myself and scream at both of you so loud that your sensitive ears are going to bleed!”
The inu youkai cringed at the thought. Well, it seems that Inuyasha was up to the chopping block. There was no way he was going to deal with an angry Kagome. Not when she was screaming.
“Inuyasha!” Sesshomaru barked. “Pick up the phone!”
He waited till he could hear the click of the phone before he placed his phone on mute then placed it on his desk. He was quite curious to hear what Kagome had to say to his half brother.
“What are you planning Inuyasha?” Kagome snapped.
“What are you talking about wench?” His brother answered.
“Don’t think I haven’t caught on. Why are you helping Sesshomaru?”
“I have no idea what you’re talking about.”
“Bull shit!” She screamed. “You’re the only one that I told about the play. You’re the only one I told about what I like and what I love. You told him about it. Why?”
Inuyasha was silent for a moment. Sesshomaru was pretty sure it was because he had gone deaf for a moment. He was half way there after Kagome screamed. Though, he was curious himself.
Finally there was a small sigh of defeat. “Because I want you to be happy.”
There was a small pause from Kagome’s end. “I was happy with you Inuyasha. You broke my heart. You cheated on me, bad mouthed me. What happened? Did Kikyo cheat on you?”
Sesshomaru rolled his eyes. Kikyo really was famous for cheating on everyone. He was pretty sure she convinced his brother to cheat on Kagome.
“Kikyo was a mistake Kagome.” Inuyasha answered her. “We’re not seeing each other anymore. I would have asked you out again, but my brother placed a claim on you. And honestly, he seemed happy. Seriously Kagome, it’s funny as hell.”
“You’re changing the subject Inuyasha.”
There was a small chuckle. “I guess what I’m saying is that I’m not in love with you anymore. You’re more like a little sister. Honestly, Sesshomaru probably loves you more then I ever will.”
“What do you mean? I thought Sesshomaru only loved himself. After all, women are nothing more then toys to him.”
“That’s the way he used to think.” Inuyasha chuckled again. “Ever sense that day you two really met, he hasn’t even glanced at a woman. Normally he just talks to a girl, sleeps with her, and then throws her aside. But you, he’s been thinking how to impress you, win you over. Don’t you think that it’s a bit more effort if you were just a mere object to him?”
‘What are you saying Inuyasha?” Kagome whispered.
“He’s in love with you Kagome.”
Sesshomaru closed his eyes and seriously thought about hanging up the phone. How dare his brother talk about things he didn’t understand? He didn’t love her. He practically worshipped her. He wanted to give her so much that she never had. Buy her things that she always wanted. Inuyasha had no idea what he was talking about.
“I cant say if I love him back.” Kagome answered softly. “I need to hear it from his own mouth Inuyasha, not yours.”
“I understand. Did you want to talk to him before I hang up?” He asked her.
Kagome was silent for a moment. “Yea.”
“Sesshomaru, I know your on the other line.”
He growled and un muted the phone. “Get off the phone Inuyasha.” He snapped.
There was a small chuckled before he hung up.
“You where listening?” Kagome snapped back at him. “That’s really rude.”
Sesshomaru smirked, knowing he picked a spit fire. “I never said I was nice. What did you want to talk about?”
“What do you want me to wear?” She asked him. “For tomorrow’s play?”
He tried to repress a snicker. “Scared to call it a date?”
There was a beep on the other end, showing she had hung up on him.
He couldn’t help but to smirk. She was falling for him.
