And You Said You Loved Her More Than Anything.

A/N: Ow. My feet hurt. And my brain does too. And GOD am I lonely! Stupid soon-to-be-ex-husband… I miss the lovemaking soso much. And it’s really affecting my lemon-writing skills. Ugh. Anyways. Second and third seasons of Buffy are really helping. Yay, Slayerness! Ok, moving on to chapter.

Chapter Six: And You Said You Loved Her More Than Anything.

Kagome’s eyes widened when she saw Inuyasha collapse to his knees, blood pooling around him, soaking into the mud. She froze, staring, as he fell right on his face and didn’t move. She dropped her gun and ran to her husband, grabbing him up in her arms and hugging him close to her. She held her hand over the open wound, which was pouring blood all over her. She took a deep breath, preparing herself.

“You shouldn’t do that,” a feminine voice said behind her. She turned and saw another spirit standing there behind her. This one had orange eyes and short, curly brown hair; her skin glowed a soft gold color. She watched Kagome with a slight sneer on her pretty face. “He’s not worth it.”

Kagome glared at the other Kami. “Go away, Mika,” she growled, and she turned back to focus her energy into healing the wound of her lover. Her hand glowed a light, light blue color, and the wound slowly disappeared. Inuyasha opened his eyes and blinked up at his wife. His breathing returned to normal, and she winked at him, flashing her eyes brown, then back to blue. She helped him to his feet, and they both looked at Mika. The younger goddess shook her head at them. “Tsk,” she told Kagome. “You waste your time and power on this mortal. He isn’t worth your devotion. No one is.”

Kagome stepped forward, and Mika stepped back. Inuyasha watched as she glowed a little herself, obviously intimidating the other spirit. Mika kept backing away from her. She looked behind Kagome, right at Inuyasha, and her eyes glowed a little. The hanyou staggered back as a sudden, numb feeling washed over him. He fell flat on his ass, and Kagome whirled around. When she realized what Mika was doing, she flew at her, gripping the girl’s throat in her fingers. Mika grinned and disappeared, the damage done.

Kagome turned and went to her kneeling husband, and when he looked up at her, his eyes were a dull, pure black color. She stopped, shocked, and stared at Inuyasha. He stood. She tilted her head and watched him. He watched her in silence. “Inuyasha?” she finally ventured.

“Yes?” he asked her.

Kagome felt butterflies all of a sudden. Her breathing quickened a little and became ragged, and her chest felt heavy. “Uhh,” she murmured, unsure what to say. Her husband watched her carefully, no emotion on his face or in his eyes. “Is something wrong?” he asked her.

Her eyes narrowed. “You’re not Inuyasha, are you?”

He didn’t even blink. “I am,” he told her.

She rolled her eyes. “Come on,” she mumbled, a little angry and still very puzzled. “Let’s get home and try to figure out what’s happened to you now.” In a blue flash, they vanished.

Miroku made a face. “I would guess it was subjugation,” he told Kagome, whose eyes widened. Inuyasha [or the lack thereof] sat in a chair in the dining room, watching the gang as they paced around him, observing him. Kagome’s eyes flared a brilliant blue-white when she heard the word “subjugation.” She growled a little, and both Sango and Miroku were startled at how similar she sounded to the normal Inuyasha. She turned and kicked the fridge, leaving a good size dent in it. Sango stared at her best friend, and Miroku checked to make sure the kids [A/N: now there’s Kenji, Hotaru, Aiko, and Yume] were still in the living room, watching their movie. When he returned, Kagome was standing right in front of Inuyasha, staring down at him, a look of pure fury on her face.

Before Miroku or Sango could react, Kagome had reared back and struck him across the face. The hanyou went flying across the kitchen, and Sango started to grab after Kagome, to try to hold her back, but Miroku stopped her with one look. She nodded; they both knew that Kagome was so pissed she could overpower anybody right now without caring about whether they got hurt or not.

Kagome picked her lover up off the linoleum and stood him up in front of her. “How long will this last?” she asked him, looking him right in the eye. Inuyasha only stared at her. She grabbed the front of his shirt in her hands and shook him. He still only stared at her. She screamed at him. “Get angry, dammit!” she yelled. “Yell at me! Hit me! Growl at me! Say ‘Feh’! ANYTHING!”

Suddenly, he grabbed her by the shoulders and threw her against the far wall, growling and snarling at her. She jumped back up to her feet as he threw himself at her, and the two stumbled outside, the door crashing in a million tiny splinters. He swung at her and missed, and she knocked his feet out from under him. He grabbed her ankles and yanked her on top of him. She fell, panting, and she just lay on top of him for a moment, staring into his eyes. They went from black to a deep red, and the goddess’s eyes widened and she tried to get off him. But Inuyasha grabbed her by the arms and threw her onto the ground before climbing on top of her. “Mine,” he mumbled before shredding her t-shirt and bra to pieces. He yanked forcefully on her blue jeans, and the buckle broke, letting him toss them over his shoulder. She let out a yelp like a small schoolgirl as he grabbed her ass and pulled her close to him. His lips connected hungrily with hers, his fangs piercing her bottom lip, and he sucked on it, swallowing her blood excitedly. Kagome moaned into his mouth.

In an instant, he was undressed, and she was kissing him back. She felt her entire body tense a little when she felt his claw rub her clit, and she gasped when she felt another claw sink into her folds. She looked into his red eyes and bucked her hips into his hand. He withdrew his hands and slipped his stiff cock inside her dripping folds, and she cried out suddenly at the unexpected feeling. Not waiting for her to adjust to his size, he began thrusting in and out of her, and she moaned and bucked against him, drawing him further into her. He licked the marking on her shoulder, and an extremely powerful orgasm rocked her body, and she shuddered under the solid wave of pleasure that spread from her core to the tips of her fingers. Her toes curled when he growled in her ear, and another orgasm washed over her. He let out a cry as he released inside her, and she grabbed a fistful of his long, silver hair and her back curled, shoving him further into her. Their lips connected one more time before the pair broke apart.

Kagome sighed in relief when Inuyasha’s eyes faded from their red back to their normal golden hue. She wrapped her arms around him and squeezed his neck, relieved. He laughed a little at her reaction, and he hugged her back.

“Ahem.”

They both looked up to find Moriko and Shippo standing over them. Kagome realized that they were still both nude, and she quickly clothed them. The parents stood and chuckled nervously with their two kids. “Sorry,” Kagome told them.

Moriko just shrugged. “Glad to see it worked, Mom,” she told her, smiling brightly. Inuyasha tilted his head. She looked at him. “Subjugation is tricky. She had to bring out your inner beast, and it broke through the haze.”

Inuyasha looked at his wife, a small, amused smile on his face. “You wily thing,” he mumbled, brushing a stray strand of pitch black curls from her eyes. He wrapped an arm around her shoulders, and they all went inside. Miroku was staring at them, puzzled, and Sango had gone to sit in the living room with the smaller children. Inuyasha went to sit down with his kids; he pulled Hotaru into his lap and hugged her gently, and Kenji came and sat beside his father, excited to be near his role model. Kagome watched from the door, happy to have her husband back.

Moriko tapped her mother on the shoulder, gesturing to the door. Kagome smiled, getting the hint, and nodded. The two spirits linked arms and disappeared. Miroku did a double take, then sighed and went into the living room, shrugging it off.

Mika knew the great Kimiko would come for her. But she didn’t expect the spirit to have back-up. She stared at the newer spirit; she felt that this one was young, extremely young, but she looked exactly like the all-powerful Kimiko, but she was of lesser power than her older look-alike.

Kagome followed Mika’s gaze, letting her own eyes rest on her young half-goddess daughter. She smiled, knowing that Mika could not overpower Moriko, and she stepped forward, grasping the front of Mika’s shirt and throwing her against the wall. Mika stood and attempted to mist away, but somehow she was stuck there on the physical plane. Kagome grinned at her nemesis knowingly. “I know how much you’re dying to get out of this place,” she told the lesser spirit, smirking. Mika started to back away, but Moriko appeared behind her, holding her still. Kagome smiled at her daughter, nodding her approval. “I mean, I wouldn’t feel very safe being trapped in a small room with the two of us,” she told Mika pointedly, her voice low and furious.

Kagome’s eyes flashed with power and anger, but she wouldn’t hurt Mika. The girl was one of her own, and she chose not to hurt her own… unless they hurt her first. Mika had hurt her today, but maybe she wouldn’t do it again. Kagome was a stickler for second chances.

She just reached up and flicked the other Kami lightly on the forehead, wrinkling her nose in mild disgust. “Don’t ever touch him again,” she told Mika in a quiet, calm voice. “Don’t touch him with your flesh. Don’t touch him with your mind. Don’t touch him with your power.” She gave her a look. “Just… leave my family alone.”

Mika started to say something, but she closed her mouth when she saw the other Kami appear in front of her. Moriko glared at the woman. “Seriously,” she told Mika, pointing her index finger right in her face. “Don’t mess with my dad.” Kagome and Moriko, satisfied with their threatening, vanished with a small ‘pop!’ leaving Mika to ponder the earthly affairs of the goddess known as Kimiko.

But, as she sat with her family that evening, the goddess reminded herself that no matter how many times she tried to be Kimiko once again, she knew that she had become Nishi Kagome.

And that was fine for her.
