Chapter six: Naraku!
Setsuna and Kagome sat up most of the night talking and laughing. InuYasha was getting annoyed. He stood and entered the room. “Will you two keep it down?”
“InuYasha!”
“I am sorry for troubling you.” Setsuna rose and was ready to leave. “You all need a good night sleep. Farewell.”
"Wait! I thought it was Sango and Kagome. I actually want to ask you a few questions."
"What is it that you want to ask?"
"Why do you reek of Naraku?"
"Oh! You know him? He is an old friend!"
"You mean you are friendly with that cold blooded killer?" shouted InuYasha.
"Hey! We all do something we're not proud of."
"He ruined my life, Miroku's, Sango's, and took Kikyou's!"
"Kikyou? Why does that name sound familiar?" Kagome gave her a hint.
"She was a miko 50 years ago," Kagome stated. “I’m her reincarnation.”
"Oh, I remember that victim!"
"VICTIM? YOU MEAN TO TELL ME YOU KILLED KIKYOU?"
"No more like critically injured. Besides she was evil. She injured Naraku!"
"Actually she tried to heal Onigumo, Naraku's human side, and he lusted her but she loved InuYasha."
"So the bastard decided to kill her off along with me!" He pulled down a corner of his kimono and a small scar resided on his chest. "That is from Kikyou tried to destroy me because she thought I betrayed her."
“Not my problem.”
“How can you be so insensitive?” The shouting woke Shippo, Sango, Miroku, and Kilala.
“What is going on here?” asked Miroku while yawning.
“She is friendly with Naraku!” InuYasha drew his sword and Setsuna laughed. “What is so funny?”
“I heard that you used Tessaiga on Sesshomeru and never won. The reason is that both swords were designed to protect you from each other. My sword does the same thing but has the power of killing and saving.”
“Meaning what?” InuYasha was getting ticked.
“Meaning as long as I have my sword you can’t kill me.” She smiled. “Father wanted our swords to be the ones that would protect us from killing each other. He knew that our ideas and up bringing would cause us to feel differently about each other.” She sat down holding the side of her head in her hand. “What a pickle this is.”
“So Setsuna can your sword hurt InuYasha?” ask Sango. Her being a demon slayer was interested in learning anything new about demons and their customs.
“No it can’t. He is family even if he doesn’t like the man that saved my life on more than one occasion and created my girlfriend.”
“Girlfriend?” asked Shippo. “But aren’t you a girl?” tilted his head to the side.
“Yes Shippo... I have a girlfriend even though I am a girl. You see I am different from most girls in the fact that I like both boys and girls.” She smiled and then walked over to the door. “I won’t kill you due to your are friends of family. Rest well.” She slid the door close and walked to her room.
“InuYasha!”
