Chapter 6

* * * * * *

< It was dark, darkness was all that she could see, all she knew. He was holding her back, he wasn’t letting her go. She wanted him to let her go. His hands were on her, touching her, it hurt, it hurt everywhere. Her heart, her body, make it go away, make the pain go away!

“You like it you little slut!” He said to her, hitting her so hard she could feel the blood begin to trail down her lip as a tooth was knocked free, stabbing sharply into her.

She opened her mouth to scream, but no sound came out. She screamed as hard as she could, her voice scratchy and painful, the taste of him still in her mouth. She wanted it to stop, but it wasn’t stopping, it was getting worse. She couldn’t make it stop, she wasn’t strong enough.

Somebody help, anybody please help. She sobbed, trying to put her arms around herself, cover herself from his gaze. He wasn’t supposed to be doing this, it wasn’t right. Why was he doing this?! He loved her so why? Why?!

She felt the bonds on her, tightening around her, keeping her in place as she felt his mouth on her neck and his body begin to move.

In out in out.

Make it stop, somebody! Anybody! She couldn’t take it.

She could hear him grunt, moan as he pushed.

In out in out.

She screamed again in agony, trembling as he tore her insides, tears steaming down her cheeks.

Why aren’t you here? Why won’t you save me? I need you! I need you please it hurts! You promised you’d always be there for me, you’d always protect me! You promised! You promised please I need you! Sesshoumaru! Sesshoumaru! >

“Sesshoumaru!!!” Rin screamed, jolting straight up in bed, her body drenched in sweat and trembling.

She ran to the bathroom on wobbly legs, heart pounding and vomited.

Moving over to the bathroom sink she spit into it, gagging on the taste of her own vomit.

Turning on the water she gargled and spit the water out before looking at her reflection. Her face was pale, drenched in sweat and she had a wild, terrified look in her eyes. Her hair was down and parts of it clung to her sweat soaked skin. She moved her hair out of her face with trembling hands. Terror clung to her hard, even though she was awake. She tried to shake the feeling but it stuck, burying itself deeply into her body.

*Don’t do this Rin! Don’t!* she thought to herself.

*I got past this a long time ago, stop it! Stop being so weak! You don’t need him, you don’t need him* She repeated in her head like a mantra.

Liar, her subconscious spat.

Walking out of the bathroom she walked back over to her bed and sat down, the sheets were wet, soaked through with sweat. Peering over at the clock by her bed it’s blinking red lights reading four a.m.

Rin raked a trembling hand through her hair and forced herself to calm down. She knew she wasn’t going to get any more sleep tonight. Running her fingers over the small scar on her lip she got up and headed over to her closet to grab her jogging clothes to change into. She knew she had a long day ahead of her; she may as well get in her morning exercise before everything went to shit.

* * * * * * * *

Sesshoumaru stood outside his parents’ large Victorian style home in Miami, Florida.

He looked over the perfectly green lawn, its grass and the abundance of plants in his mothers garden were trimmed to perfection as they had always been. He could hear the trickle of the man made waterfall into the small pond that had been put in the back yard of the home years before they had moved in.

He looked up the long drive to the front door. It was a pristine white with an iron door knocker in the shape of a lion. He could picture the interior of the house looking perfect, floors and nick-nacks polished to perfection, they way it had been even when he was a child.

Even now it still baffled him. With as much damage as he and Inuyasha had done to the house over the years it was always so perfect looking, not a speck of dust or dirt anywhere for long. He never understood how his mother had done it.

The house was normally a place of warmth and love, if you overlooked the occasional amounts of mass destruction that was the result of sibling rivalry and male pride.

At the moment though, all he could feel for the house was a deep seeded chill. What would have happened if they hadn’t come here? What if they had just stayed in Japan? Would he be living happily with Rin by his side?

Sesshoumaru sighed, lifting his head straight and proud. It didn’t matter, not now. He had tried and that was what was important. He had gone after her and tried to make things right, she refused him and that was that. An inu youkai’s pride was not something to be tried and she had pretty much taken one of those guns out of that holster of hers and shot it to bits. While it hurt like hell, he would not bend to her will and chase after her like some lost puppy. He was Sesshoumaru Takahashi, Taiyoukai and son of the great demon lord Inu Taisho, he would not submit to some human bitch…..no matter how much he may have wanted to deep down.

Walking up the drive he reached the door, before he even had the chance to lift his fist and knock it swung open revealing his mother, Izayoi. She looked exactly the same as she had the first moment he saw her when he was just a pup. Her raven colored hair shown in the light, contrasting starkly against her ivory skin. Her deep violet eyes always full of emotion, a completely open book. She could never hide what she was thinking, her eyes were always a give away. Not that she ever tried of course.

She wore a dark violet t-shirt and a pair of cut-off blue jean shorts with very little, if any make up. Although, Izayoi never needed make up, she was always just naturally beautiful.

The only piece of jewelry she had on was her wedding ring. Despite his father being one of the richest and most powerful men on the planet Izayoi had never once asked for money or jewels, it just wasn’t in her nature. If she ever wore anything other than her wedding ring, it was a small pendant with a single pink stone in it that dangled from a plain delicate gold chain. It was her favorite and the only other piece of jewelry she wore with consistency. Sesshoumaru had an inkling feeling it was because he and Inuyasha had gotten for her when they were just pups for her birthday.

Her eyes twinkled with joy as she saw Sesshoumaru standing there.

“Sesshoumaru aren’t you looking as handsome as ever!” She squealed, hugging her son tightly.

Sesshoumaru hugged his mother back tightly, taking in her familiar loving scent.

“Nice to see you to mom.” He stated smiling lightly, ushering her into the house.

The only other person other than Rin that could ever consistently bring a smile to his face was Izayoi.

She walked into the house with him, chatting excitedly.

“So tell me! How did it go? Did you find Rin?”

That wiped the smile off of Sesshoumaru’s face as he continued to walk with her into the family room.

His long silence caused Izayoi to turn and look at him carefully.

“What’s wrong Sesshoumaru? Is Rin…..is Rin alright?” she asked, suddenly very worried.

Sesshoumaru looked at her, his eyes betraying nothing. Should he tell her the truth? Or should he just tell her he wasn’t able to find Rin before work had called him back?

He was so deep in thought he didn’t notice the presence of his father walking up behind him until he felt Inu Taisho’s hand rest on his shoulder.

“My son?” Inu Taisho asked questioningly.

Sesshoumaru bit back a growl at the sound of his fathers’ voice.

“I wasn’t able to find her.”

Inu Taisho looked at his oldest son’s face and knew he was lying. Izayoi on the other hand was not able to tell and Inu Taisho felt no need to reveal his sons deceit just yet. Sesshoumaru had never lied before without good reason.

Izayoi put her hands to her mouth and gasped before pulling him down into a hug.

“Oh sweetie! I’m sure we’ll find her soon!” She sighed.

“Perhaps next time I can go with you and we can-“

“Sesshoumaru I would like to speak with you in my office.” Taisho interrupted.

Izayoi wheeled on him. “Taisho! It’s rude to interrupt people when they’re talking!”

Inu Taisho smiled sweetly down at his mate before reaching down and nuzzling her neck, biting gently on his mark. He could feel her tremble and give in with a soft sigh and he could smell the quick spike in her arousal.

“We’ll be back in a moment my love.” He whispered softly in her ear before nudging his son in the direction of his office.

He followed behind Sesshoumaru, chuckling as he could hear Izayoi yelling at him for

‘Playing that dirty trick on her again.’

When they were far enough out of her earshot Sesshoumaru looked at his father.

“That’s disgusting; I hate it when you do that when I’m around.” Sesshoumaru grumbled.

Inu Taisho chuckled loudly. “Well pup, when you’re strong enough to push me around then maybe we’ll talk.”

Sesshoumaru said nothing and just followed his father into his office.

“What did you call me in here for Chichue?”

He watched as his father sat down in his office chair behind his large maple wood desk. Taisho looked at Sesshoumaru sternly, appearing threatening and domineering without even meaning to.

“Why did you lie to your mother?”

Sesshoumaru merely stared at him, face emotionless.

“I owe no explanation for my actions to you Chichue.” Sesshoumaru spat coldly.

Inu Taisho sighed, fighting the urge to rub his temples. His oldest son had always given him a hard time at every turn, always resisting and fighting against him. He wondered when things had turned so bad between them. When Sesshoumaru was a pup he had always followed along behind his father, worshiping him like an idol.

Separating Sesshoumaru and Rin was something he had always regretted, something he always wished that he could have avoided somehow, but it was out of his control. There was something bigger than all of them and he had no choice. He knew deep down that separating the two of them was wrong, but he had never imagined such a rift would form between him and his son.

He knew Sesshoumaru held a great deal of anger towards him, but he had hoped as time went on it would have resided. It still remained strong though, and Sesshoumaru never failed to remind him of it, especially in the way he mockingly called him Chichue. He knew his oldest son did not think so highly of him.

“Sesshoumaru, what happened with Rin?”

Sesshoumaru looked at him coldly, his gaze revealing nothing but the color of his eyes.

“I did not find her.” He stated again.

Inu Taisho growled, standing up and slamming his fists on the desk causing it to shudder.

“Don’t lie to me boy!” He barked.

Sesshoumaru continued to stare coldly at his father, silently challenging him.

“What would you care even if I did find her? You’re the reason I lost her in the first place.”

Taisho sighed before sitting back down.

“I do not negate that fact Sesshoumaru, but that doesn’t mean that I don’t care about you. You are my son and whether you like that or not nothing is going to change that fact. Contrary to what Inuyasha may tell you some times…..I do love you boy. I care about what happens to you and I care about the well being of your - of Rin.”

Sesshoumaru said nothing. So his father took it upon himself to clear the air between them.

“Sesshoumaru, I truly did not want to separate you two. I would have done anything to prevent it but it was out of my control.”

Sesshoumaru continued to look at his father, his face expressionless.

“I have heard this all before Chichue, it is in the past, it no longer matters.”

Taisho looked at his oldest with an arched brow.

“Sesshoumaru, why do you insist on keeping this from me? What happened when you went to Japan? Where is Rin?”

“Rin is dead.”

Taisho felt his heart stop and his body tense up. His eyes shot up to look at his son as he felt dread and guilt weigh heavily on his body.

“What did you say?” He asked quietly, his body frozen.

Sesshoumaru took a deep breath and looked at his father.

“The Rin I knew is dead. My Rin is dead, she is never coming back. “

Turning around Sesshoumaru left; leaving his father behind to sit watching his son sadly-wishing he could have done something to change the past.

* * * * * *

Rin sat silently in the back seat of a black, unmarked police car on her way over to meet with Totosai Yamagachi, the mastermind behind this whole coming to America ordeal. She gazed blankly out the window of the vehicle watching buildings wiz by.

She bit back a sigh and thought to herself. Was this really a good idea? She knew that she wanted to catch this guy, but she didn’t know much about America and the way their police departments worked. While she was aware that joining forces from two different countries to catch the same guy wasn’t something that was practiced very often. If for some reason some hardened criminal did skip countries Interpol was usually brought in, not some far fetched plan to bring some detective over to a foreign country to help solve a case.

She knew that whoever was behind this had power, enough power to offer her, a Japanese citizen supremacy in America to do as she pleased. Something was definitely strange about this whole situation.

Looking over at Kouga she watched him closely. She knew he must be nervous, hell, she was nervous. His black bangs hung in his eyes and the high pony tail that was containing his hair was smashed back against the seat. She could see his fangs digging lightly into his lips and she knew if he pressed down any harder he’d break the skin.

Reaching over, she grasped his hand in hers.

Kouga turned and looked at Rin; his cool blue eyes and sweaty palms revealing his nervousness, but also his thankfulness. He would have been completely excluded from this if it hadn’t been for her, and Rin knew he wanted to catch this guy just as badly as she did.

He squeezed her hand tightly in his and gave her an encouraging smile.

The two detectives broke apart as the car came to a jolting halt and turned off. The driver looked in the rear view mirror frowning, but not commenting on the two detectives close relationship.

“We’re here.” He stated before getting out and shutting the door behind him.

The driver straightened his black suit and walked ahead, expecting them to follow.

The small group walked into a large glass and marble building, very similar the American Embassy in Japan only this time they walked through security without any problems.

Rin watched as people in suits and fancy work clothes ran to and fro franticly, very much like chickens with their heads cut off. Rin shivered at the constant clacking of stiletto on the marble floors.

While it was true, Rin had many times worn business suits and high heels to work it was only on necessity when she was due to show up in the house or had an important meeting. For the most part she preferred to wear blue jeans and sneakers, it was simply more practical.

“I’ll lead you up to your meeting room with Mr. Yamaguchi. There he will let you know anything that you will need or be expected to know. You will also meet your other partner.” He stated blankly, eyeing the Rin and Kouga suspiciously.

“Perhaps you can avoid making it a ménage a trios.” The driver stated dryly.

Kouga arched a brow as he and Rin followed the man into the elevator and looked at one another confused.

“A what?” Kouga mouthed to her silently.

Rin looked at him with wide eyes and shrugged.

While it was true that both Rin and Kouga knew English because all Japanese students were forced to take it in school, they did not understand much slang or strange terminology.

The elevator came to a halt on the twenty third floor with a soft ‘ding,’ and all three people stepped off, hurrying down the carpeted corridor to suit thirteen.

Their driver knocked loudly on the door and waited until the three heard a loud yelling form the inside that Rin couldn’t quite make out. She assumed it was something to the effect of ‘come in’ in since their driver swung open the heavy wooden door and they all filed in.

The waiting area of the suit was surprisingly calming and happy for a police department. The floors were a bright red and the walls were painted in a soft gold color. There were white plush couches and red lazy boys for people to use as they waited to be seen. In the corner there was a large fisher price toy box that was practically overflowing.

Pictures of bright flowers and even a few paintings from small children decorated the walls, giving the office a cheerier feel.

She could hear Kouga’s feet shuffling on the carpet behind her as they came to a halt in front of a large window in the wall covered in bullet proof glass. Behind it, Rin could make out a receptionist in a brightly colored business suit.

“Hold on just a second Mr. Andrews, let me make sure he’s available for you. And next time,” The receptionist said with her hand on her hip and her perfectly waxed brow arched.

“Don’t knock on that door; you know I can barely hear it.”

With that she disappeared from behind the glass window.

A few minutes later they heard a loud beep and the heavy metal door next to the window popped open. Grabbing the handle, Mr. Andrews their driver pulled it open and headed inside with Rin and Kouga trailing nervously behind him.

Rin glanced at the receptionist and noted her practically flaming red hair that stood out like a sore thumb. It was piled on top of her head in heaps and held down by what Rin could only assume was an extreme amount of hair products, like enough for the entire body of a chimpanzee…..or a silver back gorilla.

The receptionist smiled brightly at her as Rin walked past and she returned it with an awkward smile, noting to herself the smudge of lipstick on the woman’s teeth. Rin wondered if she should tell her about it.

She was stopped with a jolt as she collided with Kouga’s back as they stopped short.

“Ow Kouga what the hell?” She said annoyed, rubbing her bruised nose.

Kouga rolled his eyes and looked at her.

“Maybe you should have been paying more attention to where you were going instead of making googly eyes at the receptionist. I always knew you were secretly a lesbian.” He whispered to her and then stifled a laugh at the face she made.

They both quieted as their driver Mr. Andrews turned back to face them.

“This is as far as I take the two of you. I’ll be waiting for you in the lobby, from there I’ll drop you off at where you will be staying, your luggage is already there waiting for you.” He stated before turning around and walking away, leaving the two of them standing in front of a large white door.

Rin and Kouga looked at each other for a moment, silently willing the other one to reach for the handle first.

Rin sighed and reached out; pushing the door open she took a few steps inside she felt Kouga brush past her and into the room.

Looking at the old youkai sitting at the far end of the room behind an almost ancient looking Victorian desk she approached.

The old Youkai looked up at her quizzically, his large eyes seemed to almost roll around in his head. His face was withered from centuries of existence and she couldn’t be sure, but she was pretty positive all his teeth were fake.

She heard Kouga come up and stand next to her, not close, but not very far either.

“Ah!” The old youkai said, rolling from behind is desk in his chair.

“You must be Rin. Hm… not as pretty as I expected.” He croaked.

Rin’s eyes bugged out and she felt her jaw drop.

“Excuse me?!” Rin shouted.

“I don’t know who the fuck you think you are but-“

She was cut off by the cackling laughter of the old youkai. What the hell was wrong with this guy?

“Just as I imagined! He’s gotta have a woman that’s got an attitude to stand up to that temper of his!” the old youkai choked out between laughs.

Kouga reached out and grabbed onto Rin’s shoulder, not wanting to bodily restrain her if it was necessary. Hell, he wouldn’t mind having a crack at the senile old youkai himself.

As the old youkai’s laughter finally quieted he put his hand to his chest and sighed.

“Oh boy, I still crack myself up.”

The old youkai wiped the growing tears from his eyes.

“Ok, down to business.” He stated, folding his withered old hands on his desk.

Rin looked at him un-amused. She crossed her arms in front of her chest and tapped her foot lightly on the carpeted floor.

Kouga eyed her warily, unsure if she was going to be able to contain herself or if she would make an attempt to lunge on the ancient youkai.

“First I would like to say thank you for coming to our aid and being willing to cooperate with our department. As you know we want to catch this man as much as the both of you do.”

He stated, looking back and for between Kouga and Rin.

“My name is Totosai Yamaguchi and I am in control of this department. I intend on partnering you up with one of our best detectives who also happened to be the first one on the scene. So Rin, Kouga I must now ask you. What is your relationship exactly? You’re not doing it are you?”

Rin’s jaw dropped and she felt her blood pressure sky rocket.

“Why you son of a bitch!” She shrieked.

Kouga growled loudly and took a threatening step forward, slamming his hands on Totosai’s desk.

“How dare you try and impugn Detective Minamoto and my self’s honor! You have no right to-“

Kouga stopped his tirade at the sound of Totosai’s boisterous laughter. The old Youkai began to wave his hands in front of him.

“I’m just kidding, just kidding!!” He chocked out between fits of laughter. But just like that his laughing ceased.

“But seriously though, I need to know.”

Kouga and Rin both glared at him causing him to begin laughing hysterically again.

“You here that pup! She’s single!”

Rin jumped at the sound of someone approaching from behind her and froze.

Rin and Sesshoumaru’s eyes locked for a moment before he broke contact with her and looked at Totosai coldly.

“Totosai that is quite enough.”

Totosai quieted his laughing and sighed. “You always ruin my fun boy.”

Looking back to Rin and Kouga he could feel Rin’s nervousness and wondered why that was so. He knew how close she and Sesshoumaru had been as children, so why was she so nervous to be around him now? While he couldn’t deny that Sesshoumaru had grown into a rather domineering man Rin should know him well enough to trust that he would never harm her.

“Ok, back to business. Detective Minamoto, Detective Yatsuhara, this is Detective Takahashi, you will be working with him for the remainder of your stay here. He can fill you in on all of the details of the case and the do’s and don’ts of this precinct.”

Kouga nodded to Sesshoumaru, failing to inform Totosai that they had met once before, right now the only thing he was worried about was Rin. How would being partnered with Sesshoumaru affect her? He was suddenly more thankful than ever that Rin had fought to keep him on this case with her.

Sesshoumaru watched Rin closely as she refused to meet his gaze. So this was why Totosai had insisted that he take the case and return to the U.S. immediately. He’d have to thank the old geezer later.

“Now all of you get out of my office.” Totosai barked before turning around in his swiveling chair and ignoring them completely.

Rin said nothing and continued to stare at Sesshoumaru’s chest, refusing to meet his eyes.

“This way.” Sesshoumaru stated quietly before leading them out of the office.

As they all entered the waiting area Rin spotted Mr. Andrews and mentally jumped for joy as he got up and waited for them.

“Are you all finished here?” Mr. Andrews asked.

Rin spoke up first, making no attempt to hide her eagerness at leaving.

“Yes we are, lets get out of here.”

She and Kouga began to leave with Mr. Andrews but Sesshoumaru stopped them, grabbing onto Rin’s wrist.

“Both of you go on ahead, I have some things to discuss with Ms. Minamoto.”

Rin panicked at his words and the feel of his hand on her arm.

“I’m sure it can wait until tomorrow, Rin and I are both very tired from the long trip over here.” Kouga piped up, staring at Sesshoumaru.

Mr. Andrews rolled his eyes.

“Then I won’t keep her long.” Sesshoumaru stated, locking eyes with Kouga and daring him to argue.

Sesshoumaru next turned his gaze to Mr. Andrews.

“You can show Mr. Yatsuhara to his quarters, I’ll escort Ms. Minamoto there shortly.”

With that, Sesshoumaru tightened his hold on the panicking Rin and dragged her along behind him in the other direction, leaving no room for argument.

Dragging her down in the hall in silence Sesshoumaru looked down at her. He could sense no fear coming off of her, merely nervousness-nervousness and her sweet scent.

Satisfied that she would follow him and he didn’t have to drag her he loosened his hold on her wrist, and let his hand slide down. He meant to relinquish his hold on her, he really did, but when her hand landed in his he kept his hand there. He didn’t have a firm hold; it was loose, loose enough that she could seize her hand back any time if she wanted to. He almost let out a soft rumble of satisfaction when she didn’t.

Rin sighed softly, lost in though. This wasn’t so bad was it? Grant it she hated people trying to control her and tell her what to do, at least she was with him now. A part of her was angry, very angry she wasn’t fighting him tooth and nail, but another part of her, a part she had hidden a long time ago was in ecstasy.

Daring to glance up at him, she watched his face and how stern it looked and it almost made her laugh. He was very different from the little boy she remembered playing with as a child, but he was still Sesshoumaru, the only person she had ever felt safe with, the only man she had ever loved.

Being angry with him just seemed foolish now, after such a long time was it even worth it? She used to cry herself to sleep at night, begging for him to come back and now that he was she was doing nothing but being a bitch.

She jerked her eyes away as he looked down at her.

*oh way to go Rin! Busted!*

She blushed a deep crimson and felt him squeeze her hand lightly in an affectionate gesture.

Was it even worth it to be angry with him now? A part of her screamed yes, the other part of her grabbed a sledgehammer and knocked that idea out of her head. It was stupid to do nothing but fight and place blame for something that had happened so long ago. Maybe, maybe now they could be friends, just maybe.

She allowed him to lead her into what she could have only guessed was his office. Looking around, she stared at all of the diplomas and decorations that adorned the walls. It was surprisingly personal with several different photos of himself and his family members in various stages of his life. She almost laughed at the photo on the far wall behind his desk of him, his father, and another young man who she assumed must be a sibling of his with a sheepish looks on their faces like they had gotten caught with their hands in the proverbial cookie jar. She could see his mother Izayoi in it as well looking at them like she was about to start scolding all three males.

The soft click of the door brought her attention back to him.

“I’m sorry.” Rin blurted out before he even had a chance to speak.

“I shouldn’t have yelled at you like I did I just…. I didn’t know how to react to seeing you again.”

Leaning back against the wall of his office she looked down at her feet.

Sesshoumaru gazed at the woman he had been in love with all his life and felt his heart swell with joy. Schooling his expression he walked over to Rin and stopped in front of her. He put a knuckle under her chin and lifted her face up, forcing her to look at him.

“I’m sorry to Rin. I’m sorry I waited so long to go back for you. When I finally gathered up the nerve to go find you, I wasn’t sure how you would react or if you would even want to see me.”

Rin’s eyes watered as she stared into his, getting lost in his serene golden gaze.

“I’ve really missed you.” Sesshoumaru said softly as he stared into her chocolate brown orbs.

Rin could feel the tears threatening to fall and she tried desperately to blink them back.

“You don’t need to hide from me Rin.” Sesshoumaru whispered. “I know you better than anyone else.”

She felt the tears begin to trickle down and she hugged him, clinging to him tightly, melting against him.

Sesshoumaru hugged her back tightly, not willing to ever let her go again. He took in her gentle scent and ran his hands through her hair, cradling her against him. He couldn’t believe how wonderful it felt to finally have her in his arms again. He had prayed to whatever god was out there that he would never have to let her go again. She was back with him again. She was right where she belonged, at his side and in his heart.

“God how I’ve missed you Rin. I’ve missed you so much.” He whispered gently into her ear.

She buried her face into his chest and turned it to the side so he could hear her.

“I’ve missed you to Sesshoumaru. I never thought I was going to see you again. I thought you had forgotten about me.”

Sesshoumaru hugged her tighter as he felt her shudder against him.

“I will never forget about you Rin. You were the first thing on my mind every morning of every day, and the last thing I though about before I went to sleep every night.”

Pulling away from him Rin looked up and could see the truth in his gaze.

“I don’t remember you being such a romantic Sesshoumaru.” She joked, sniffling lightly.

“Yeah well, I don’t remember you being such a smart ass.” He whispered back to her, a small smile showing on his face as he wiped the tears from her eyes with his fingertips and making sure to be mindful of his claws.

Sesshoumaru looked down at her and was entranced by her beauty. Her chocolate brown eyes seemed to draw him in, and her lips-soft, luscious lips. Would they be as soft as they looked? He noted the tiny scar on her lip again and wondered what had caused it, but at the moment he didn’t care. He could feel himself being drawn to her in a way that he had never been drawn to any of the women in his past.

When his lips met hers he groaned lightly in the back of his throat and he could feel her melt against him. She was sweet, sweeter than he thought possible. He tilted her head up and licked her lips gently, begging for entrance.

She moaned into his mouth and conceded to him. Rin could feel her body start to get heavy with desire as she intertwined her tongue in with his. She could feel the gentle pressure of his fangs as she explored his mouth and could hear him growl lightly in encouragement.

She was being swept away by the love she had for him and her happiness to see him again. Somewhere in her head warning bells went off that they should not be doing this right now, this wasn’t why she was here.

When he reached behind her and pulled her up against him she couldn’t argue with herself. She moaned into his mouth as she felt his hands kneading the small of her back and she wound her small hands tighter into the front of his shirt, never wanting to let go.

She groaned as his lips trailed away from hers, but when they began to trail down and she felt his hot breath on her neck she shivered. Her eyes snapped open and she jerked away from him just as he started kissing her neck. Her heart pounded and her body tensed up as she pushed him back.

She felt the blood drain from her face as she flattened herself back against the wall, trying to get as far away from him as possible. She brought her sleeve up to her neck and wiped off his saliva desperately, leaving an angry red welt on her neck.

Sesshoumaru stared down at her in shock, the scent of fear that radiated off of her was overwhelming and it his him square in the chest. What the fuck? What she afraid of him?

He reached over and jerked her face up, forcing her to look at him.

His eyes flashed red as she tried to avoid his gaze and he bit back an enraged growl.

Rin finally looked at him, trying to keep the fear from her eyes and hoping he wouldn’t notice the clamminess of her skin or the paleness of her complexion, but no matter how much she tried she couldn’t hide the fear in her scent.

“What’s going on Rin?” Sesshoumaru barked out.

*are you afraid of me?*

She gave him a nervous smile and tried to school her features the way she had trained herself to.

“I’m fine I just, I just don’t like my neck to be touched. I can’t-“ She stopped and took a deep breath before looking back and meeting his gaze.

“I don’t think we should go that fast. We need to slow down. It’s been a long time since we’ve seen each other. I just don’t want to rush anything.” She blurted out.

Sesshoumaru looked down at her suspiciously. Something wasn’t right about this. She was hiding something from him.

“That’s fine.” He said softly, releasing her and backing up to give her some breathing room.

Looking at her again he reached out and grasped her hand, squeezing it lightly.

“Rin.”

She looked up at him, willing the slight trembling in her body to subside.

“If something bothers you, promise me that you’ll tell me.”

She smiled back at him, the same smile she had when they were kids, the same smile that always made his heart melt.

“I promise.” She whispered to him.

Onigumo sat there, staring at his youngest sons his face completely emotionless despite the woman at his feet that was sucking feverously on his cock. He ran his fingers through her black hair, raking his nails down her scalp. He could feel her wince beneath his hand but she knew better than to protest and continued doing as he had commanded her to.

This man before him was his human detachment, the only detachment that he felt was worthy of being called a son.

He stood there, his shaggy brown hair hanging to his shoulders and his eyes moved around erratically, wild with near insanity.

Onigumo had never questioned or disapproved of his son’s sexual interests, but if he continued being so reckless it was going to become troublesome.

“Tell me, what is your obsession with that woman? I figured at her age you would no longer find any interest in her.”

The man looked at his father Onigumo, a slow smile spreading across his face.

“She’s mine. She’s always been mine. She will always be mine, and she will be perfect for tearing them apart. Don’t you agree father?”

Onigumo thought for a moment, rubbing his hand over his bald head, scratching lightly his purple spider marking on the back of his head.

“Do not get careless. You know her occupation, what make’s you think she will not retaliate?”

His son looked down at the woman on his fathers lap. She was so loose, such a whore. How did his father enjoy her?

Onigumo smirked, knowing what his son was thinking.

“With age comes experience boy.” He said, patting the woman’s head, pushing her further down on him and laughing loudly as she began to choke before grabbing a fistful of her hair and yanking her up to look at him. With his other hand he yanked on her already severely abused nipple.

He felt himself harden even more as she screamed in pain.

“Isn’t that right Kikyo?”

The woman looked at him with anger in her deep brown eyes and said nothing.

“Some protector of the Shikon no Tama you are. You didn’t even have the damn jewel.”

Growling he forced her back down on him, putting pressure on her jaw and forcing her to take him in her mouth once again.

“And it wasn’t where you said it would be either.” He barked, ramming her down on him till he felt his cock go all the way down her throat.

“Bet you’ll never lie to me again will you bitch.” He growled out before turning his attention back to his son.

“You do what you need to do to tear that family apart, they are our only obstacle right now. Just make sure that she doesn’t catch onto you. The last think I need are those fucking pigs snooping around.”

The man nodded to his father, an evil smile spreading across his face.

“She won’t turn on me; she knows very well what I can do, what I have done.”

Onigumo snorted at his son’s cockiness. Cockiness could get you a major thorn in your side, one that lasted there for years.

“Tell your brother to drag is ass in here and come get his bitch. I’m just about done with her.”

The man nodded. “Yes sir.”

Leaving his father alone with the priestess he shook his head. He could never understand his father and brothers fascination with old hags.

Walking down the corridor in his fathers shop he banged on his brothers door.

It yanked open a few seconds later as the two brothers’ eyes met sinister glare to sinister glare.

“Father wants you.”

He watched as his older brother flicked his long kinky black hair behind his back and stormed down the hall to his fathers’ workshop.

Slamming open in the door he glared at Onigumo.

“Having fun with my bitch?” He barked, none to happy to see his personal whore working his father.

“Now now Naraku, don’t be such a little dick. I was nice enough to invite you in here to share.” Onigumo said softly, scolding his oldest son.

Locking his eyes on his son’s he reached around the priestess and ran his clawed fingertips over her naked pussy.

“Come and enjoy, there’s no reason father and son can’t share the spoils of war together.”

Authors note:

Yeah, so sorry this one took so long, but the lack of reviews really does stifle the creative spirit. So basically I want at least five new reviews or I’m not updating. That sounds pretty fare, I mean it doesn’t take that long to click that little review button and type. It’s funny because I always thought writers who demanded reviews or refused to update was pretty dick, but now I kinda understand where they’re coming from.

Oh well, hope you all enjoy! Much love!
