The Picture

CHAPTER 6


But all that Kagome could see was a blur of white and that was it. She turned to her mom who was in awe at how fast he left.” “Kagome I’m not crazy.” “I know lets go in and escort the rest of the guests out so they can go home. “I feel a little bit tired.” said Kagome as she and her mom walked into the house. Sesshomaru was waiting in the car when all the guests poured out of the shrine and made their decent down the stairs. He let out a sigh of relief “I almost came face to face with her.”

“ Mr. Oge you may leave now.” When he returned to his suite he checked his machine to see if his associate had called and he had. He said that he will have the presentation ready for him by 10 in the morning. Brandy also called; she said that Paris was boring without him and that she would see him in two days. “ well I better get some sleep I have a meeting tomorrow.” He put on his silk pajamas and crawled into his bed. The next day Sesshomaru showed up at his associates office and waited till he got off the phone. “Yes I will meet you at 1:00 for lunch, yes I love you too. Bye.”

“Mr. Tashio are you ready for the presentation.” “Lead the way.” The young man looks a little like me.” thought Sesshomaru, in the exception that his hair was black and he was a little much shorter then him. When the meeting was over the young man approached him and asked how he liked the presentation. “Well you did a splendid job.. I’m sorry what’s your name?” “My name is Inuyasha Keto.” “Well Inuyasha I’m glad your on my side.” They talked a little about each other and about their lives, so as to get to know one another better. “Mr. Keto, your fiancé is on phone for you.” said his secretary. Inuyasha looked at his watch and smack himself in the head. “I almost forgot I have to meet my fiancé.” He picked up the phone and answered “Gome I’m so sorry I completely forgot.”

“Alright I’ll leave in 10 minutes see you my love.” After he hung up with her he turned to see Sesshomaru and saw that he looked a little dazed. “Are you alright sir?” “Yeah I just thought of something that I have to do today.”

“Well thanks for the presentation I will see you again in two weeks to do the follow up conference call.” Sesshomaru walked out of the office feeling a little bit famished. So before he left he called up to Inuyasha’s secretary and asked were a good place to eat was. She gave him the name and the directions on how to get there. “ My goodness I’m so hungry I could devour a whole cow by myself.” he thought to himself. He told his driver the directions to the restaurant and they were on their way. When he arrived at the restaurant he didn’t have to wait long for a table when they figured out who he was. “Mr. Tashio right this way to you’re table.” said the man as he pointed the way to his table. He had the best seat in the house, he was sitting on the balcony right in the middle table. He could see the whole dinning room even the other baloney side was at his viewing pleasure.

The waiter handed him the menu. Two seconds later Sesshomaru had his wine and food order ready. He ordered a white wine and to go with the wine he ordered a juicy New York strip medium well. As Sesshomaru was waiting for his food he looked around the dining room at all the people. There were all sorts of people young, old, middle aged men in suits. There were lovers everywhere you looked. And seeing this made him miss his lover. So he dialed her number on his cell. No answer but he did get to hear her sweet voice. “ Hi you’ve reached Brandy I’m away from my phone but leave a name and number and I will call you later. BEEP ….BEEP “Darling it’s you’re one and only still busy I see call me when you’re not. I love you.” By that time his food had arrived and he ate in silence.


As he listened to the hustle and bussle of the restaurant, he heard “her”. He turned around she wasn’t there, she sounded so close. Then he concentrated as he looked around. There, he spotted her she was on the other balcony laughing. She was with a man with jet black hair. “How did I hear her all the way over here?” he pondered. Then he closed his eyes and focused and then it happened again. “ Inuyasha I’m so glad we got to go today. I love you so much.” “WHAT!” winced Sesshomaru. She’s with Inuyasha. He just sat there then there was a tap on his shoulders. “Excuse me sir, is your meal alright cause you’ve barley touched it?” “No the meal is wonderful I just don’t feel well that’s all.” “Well if you need anything let me know.” “Well you could just bring my check I think I’m ready to leave.” “Surtenly.” with that the waiter took off .

“Good the sooner I leave the better off I am.” Several minutes later the waiter brought back the check. Sesshomaru looked at it 65.36 he handed the waiter a hundred dollar bill and told him to keep the change. As he was leaving he bumped into someone causing them to fall down. He turned around and saw that it was a woman. When she lifted her face he stepped back in shock. “Kagome!” “I’m sorry do I know you?” she said as she straightened her skirt. He held out his hand to help her up, she took it and then when she was face to face with him she took a step back.” “Sess.. Sessho… Sesshomaru?” she gasped “I know your name you know mine, but how is that?” “Dreams.. And.. And the picture!” she exclaimed. “The picture and you… you’re real. I’m not crazy.”

“ The picture?” Kagome was in her own world. “ The picture, mom will never believe me, I’m not crazy, I’m not!” Neither one of them saw Inuyasha walking up. “Kagome I was wondering where you went to.” He looked over at her she was rambling about some picture then he looked over at Sesshomaru and smiled. “ I see that you’ve meet my fiancé Mr. Tashio.” “Yes and she is quite beautiful.” he said as he grabbed her hand and kissed it. That pulled her out of her little world. “Thank you.” she said with her cheeks all flushed. “I’m so sorry for knocking you down I wasn’t looking where I was going.
If you two will excuse me, I hope the rest of your day is wonderful.” he turned and walked out the door, he looked back

"Just one more look might help me get through tonight.” He noticed she was looking right back and he saw that she was still blushing. He walked away with a smile on his face.
