A new spell, a new hope, a new danger?
Chapter 5- A new spell, a new hope, a new danger?
“When one is forced into mating a demon one becomes desperate to undo the ‘undo-able’ and this, my dear, is what will do just that. It is a potion made by one who did not want to be mated. Have the girl drink it and all mating marks will be undone. But the Demon Lord will know when the connection has been severed and he will be able to remake the marks and when that happens the marks will be permit so this potion can be used only once to get rid of Lord Sesshomaru marks.” Crooned the old witch. In her old rustic hand held a small purple bottle filled with what will be the most sought after thing in the eyes of four demons.
“Hmmm… no worries, it will be just me and her. He will never be able to get to her after I get my hands on her…” a twisted smile came over Naraku’s perfect face. ‘Oh yes my dear miko… after I’m done with you, you’ll never want any other man to touch you.’ A small chuckle slipped out from his dark smile. “Why thank you very much my dearest witch… it seems you still have some use in you, but to make sure no one else can get this lovely potion well you must know.” And with a long swing of his hand he cut off her head. Blood dripping from his hand he brought it to his lips adding a dark red stain to them.
“Hmmm… now moving on to getting my lovely Kagome.”
“I know Sesshomaru, but I must first finish my mission.” Kagome stated. She let go of him but had to look up into his deep golden eyes. ‘I have to do this! I will not let him change me into his personal slave!’
“There was no talk of this when we made are agreement. It seems you are going back on your word so it must imply that you want me to kill the half-breed.” Anger and rage were boiling up in Sesshomaru but to others he seemed calm and relaxed as if he was talking about the weather.
“No no! Its not that I’m going back on my word it’s just that this mission comes first! No wait I mean… it’s just… the sacred jewel broke because of me! I have to fix it and to help Inuyasha defeat Naraku!” She had to put her foot down on this one. It was her mistake and yet it was the only real reason she was here. If that never happened she may have never come back to this world, never have fallen in love or had made such good friends! In her deep blue eyes she pleaded with him. “I will become your mate but please let me finish this! Please! We have come so far, I can’t stop now! I cannot leave them to finish this without me ple…!”
He hushed her with a kiss.
Just a simple kiss.
Her lips felt so soft, he did not deepen the kiss he just put his arm around her shoulders and drew her close.
Kagome instinctively shut her eyes, her sense of touch heighten. His lips were hard but smooth and it was a tender kiss made greater by his arm moving around her, protecting her. Without knowing it she moved her arms around his neck, filling her small hands with his soft sliver hair.
The pair was oblivious to the other three members moving a sleeping half-demon to the other side of the camping ground. The three did not want to disturb the couple since they did not want the powerful demon lord to take there friend, sister, and most importantly, mother away.
When the couple moved away from each other to get some air they opened their eyes to look into the others. Blue met gold with a new passion. Sesshomaru’s deep voice came out soft and low for only her to hear, “I will be staying with you then but in-return I ask of only some simple rules. One- you will keep your distances from Inuyasha and any other males. The fox kit is the only exception. And number two- we will need to have time alone together each day, to better know one other… do you agree?”
“Those seem reasonable enough, but before I agree to yours will you agree to mine? One- you will co-operate with Inuyasha. Two- I am a healer, therefore when someone needs healing I WILL heal them. I will try to stay away from males the best I can but I cannot make any promises. And Three- I will need some alone time too! You know with Sango and Shippo bathing. I don’t need to be watched over at all times, I’ve stayed alive this long without you so I think I deserve a little more credit.” Stern blue eyes looked deep into his. ‘Please agree! Please agree! Please agree!’ She didn’t think she could sound so stern to him!
“Done.” And he sealed it with another kiss.
“Th-thank you.” Was all she could say after his second kiss.
~Some where east of the groups current location~
“Hey Ginta! Hakkaku! It’s been a while since I’ve seen Kagome what do think about taking a break and catch up with her?” Smirked a devilishly handsome wolf-demon.
“Sure boss!”
“Whatever you say!”
“Good, pack up we leave at dawn.”
“Kagura, in three days time everything is to be ready. I expect her to be here by then, with NO harm done to her. Understand?” Purred a voice from the darkness.
“Yes master Naraku, everything will go just as you planed.”
“It better or you will suffer my dear.”
“Understood master.” The deep hatred she had for him grew; it grew so much she even began to hate the miko Kagome! If Kagome made this sick man happy then Kagura hated it, yet, she couldn’t fully hate her that much because when that girl comes here HIS attention will be solely on the miko so maybe… ‘Just maybe I can find a way to be free… poor girl; she doesn’t know what she’s in for.’ With that in mind the wind witch took her leave of her master’s chambers to begin the plan that would further more change the life of Kagome Higurashi.
~back to the group~ ~w0w we are jumping everywhere this chapter! ~
“Alright guys!” Beamed a happy Kagome, “It has been a long day, and I think we may have missed lunch so lets have a feast tonight for dinner!”
“Yum, sounds good to me!” Sango smiled, “Shippo you get the fire started I’ll go do some hunting!”
“Slayer, I will do the hunting you may help Kagome.” Came Sesshomaru’s voice.
“Um… ok?” And in a flash he was gone.
“Please don’t mind him Sango, lets just let him do as he pleases for now ok? Trust me it will get better I promise!” Pleaded Kagome, ‘I hope it gets better…’ a lingering doubt stuck in her mind.
Shippo added, “Yea, don’t worry about it Sango. He just has that air about him to take charge but… Inuyasha not going to like that…” he mumbled the last part with a large sigh at the end. ‘This will be interesting or just more fighting.’
“Well, it’s not something we have to worry about now so let us enjoy the peace we have until then?” Miroku chimed in.
a/n- well I hope you guys like what’s going on! Just as a warning, everything written here is done at 2 in the morning! So please forgive any mistakes I make! I try to check all my work before I post it but what happens is that I miss it and only find it after I post it. I do go back and re-read my chapters so that I can find out if what I typed made any sense when I’ve gotten a good night of rest. So with the more reviews I get the more I feel I need to update faster! ~hint hint~ Wink wink~
