Chapter 5
"Typical." Inutaisha muttered. "He always takes her side." She had came to a small pond and sat beside it. Her fingers gently flicked at the water. "No one ever takes my side." Inutaisha grumbled then looked ahead. She sniffed the air and caught a familiar scent. 'Sessha.' Inutaisha thought. 'What is she doing here?'
Inutaisha stood up slowly and turned around to face her sister. "What are you doing here?" Inutaisha asked her sister while putting her hand on Tetsuseiga.
"I came here to talk with you." Sessha said to her younger sister.
"That's a surprise." Inutaisha commented sarcastically.
"Who were you talking about?" Sessha asked.
"None of your business." Inutaisha replied then turned around to leave.
"Don't you turn your back on me." Sessha told her sister in an angry tone.
"I don't want to talk with you now." Inutaisha said then walked towards the path. She was quickly blocked by her sister.
"You are not leaving until we talk." She said as she glared into Inutaisha's eyes.
Inutaisha glared back. "I do not want to fight with you. I don't want to talk either. Leave me the hell alone." Inutaisha said then pushed past her sister one more time.
"That's not the Inutaisha I know. Usually you would love a fight. What's the matter with you?" Sessha asked her again.
Inutaisha quickly turned around and unsheathed Tetsuseiga. "You want to fight. That's fine. I am willing to kick your ass." Inutaisha said then raised Tetsuseiga high in the air and screamed, "Wind Scar!"
Meanwhile, Kagoru watched the forest as he and the others waited near the well. He observed as a wave of energy that could only be recognized as the wind scar came towards them. "Tell me that wasn't what I think it was." Mirra said as she stood up quickly.
"The wind scar." Inuyasha muttered as he bounded for the forest.
"Inuyasha wait up!" Kagome cried out after him.
"Sorry Kagome, I have to make sure she isn't in trouble." Inuyasha yelled back
It was too late however, because he had already ran into the forest seeking his counterpart. Inuyasha ran until he caught Inutaisha's scent. Inuyasha carefully sneaked until he found a small clearing. There he found Inutaisha fighting with a woman that looked familiarly like Sesshoumaru. 'That must be Sesshoumaru's counterpart!' Inuyasha thought to himself.
"If you are after Tetsuseiga you better turn your ass around and leave. I am not giving you Tetsuseiga." Inutaisha told her sister. She did not know that Inuyasha was there.
"I don't care for the Tetsuseiga. I was wanting to get some information about your enemy. I see you are quite inhospitable now. I will come back later." Sessha said then left as quickly as she came.
Inutaisha fell to her knees then sheithed Tetsuseiga. "Damn. Damn Sessha. Damn Kagoru. Damn everyone." Inutaisha said as she dug the earth up with her nails.
"Inutaisha. Are you alright?" Inuyasha asked.
"Yes. I am fine." Inutaisha said as she stood back up. "Just tired."
"No you are not. I'm your counterpart. I can feel it." Inuyasha told her as he kneeled beside her.
"I don't understand." Inutaisha commented, her breath hitched then a tear rolled down her cheek. "Why can't he understand that I am trying to defend myself. I don't like to fight, it's just that I can't stand being insulted." A tinge of sadness entered her voice.
Inuyasha took this as a sign of oncoming tears and gently turned her and hugged her. "I know how you feel. It's okay." For a few minutes, Inutaisha let herself sob saldly on Inuyasha's shoulder. She then pulled herself together and stopped crying.
"I'm sorry. I shouldn't be so weak." Inutaisha said.
"You are far from weak Inutaisha. Let me talk with Kagoru for a while before you come back." Inuyasha told her then stood up.
"Alright." Inutaisha said after wiping her eyes.
Inuyasha left her quickly to find Kagoru. He knew it was important to talk to him before the two could have a chance to argue.
