*Huff huff huff… *

“Guys can you wait up for me? I got short legs for crying out loud!” Kagome said as she nearly collapsed at the weight of the backpack on her back. She bent forward and put her hands on her knees.

“You okay Gome?” Inuyasha asked.

“Huff… bite me…huff.” Kagome responded.

Inuyasha looked at her and scrunched up his face in discuss. “No I don’t think so… I’m saving my biting for Kiky.” he responded as his face took on a dreamy look.

Kagome raised her eyebrows; which was mirrored by Sesshomaru.

“Mutt… what the heck are you talking about?” Sesshomaru asked looking a little bit ill.

“Huh… what? Oh… nothing at all. Come on Gome move your arse already. Who cares if you got chubby baby legs? Get a move on it will ya? I wanna visit Kiky before sundown.” Inuyasha said as he started walking away from the others… right into a river.

“Ahhhh!” he screamed as he swam doggy style to the other side.

Sesshomaru hid his smile and chuckle behind his hand, but Kagome caught it and laughed till she fell over on her back and found she couldn’t get up again.

“Help! Help! I can’t get up!” she yelled as she moved around trying to get up.

Sesshomaru doubled over in laughter that couldn’t be contained any longer. His brother swam like a puppy and his newest ‘friend’ fell over and couldn’t get up again. *Wow not the brightest folks in the world huh?* he thought to himself as he decided to leave Kagome to her own devises.

“Help me Sesshy!” Kagome yelled.

Sesshomaru looked back with a growl and jumped over the river to where Inuyasha was huffing and puffing in the mud.

“Awww come on guys help me get up!” Kagome yelled and started to cry as no help came.

Inu Tashio was debating on showing himself to them long enough to help the poor girl that had fallen over. At the moment when he would have came out of his hiding spot he spotted a tornado, which had to be one of the wolves heading in their direction.

Kagome saw the tornado headed right for her and tired once again to move as she screamed out loud for all she was worth.

Suddenly the tornado stopped and a boy was standing there smiling like he had just found the best toy ever.

“Hiya! I’m Kouga… Who are you sweetie? You need help? Here let me get this for you.” the boy said as soon as Kagome calmed down and raised her eyebrows at the new boy.

Kouga helped her up and took her pack and put it on his own back. He looked at her expectantly and she realized that during the interaction he had asked her something.

“Oh hi… My name is Kagome. It’s nice to….” she didn’t get to finish her sentence as Kouga got really close to her and hugged her close.

“It’s nice to meet you Kagome… Lovely name. I haven’t seen you around before. You new around these parts? Are you hungry? Want to take a break from your walk?” Kouga asked her in such a rush that Kagome was just begging for someone to rescue her from this boy.

“Umm… thank you?” she responded.

“Hey wolfie! She’s not alone you know?” said Inuyasha from across the river.

“Oh mutt I didn’t see you. I mean you are covered in your own poop so that would explain it.” Kouga said while smiling.

Kagome laughed in spite of herself and tried to cover it with a cough. She looked away blushing.

“Come on Kagome… Let’s go play!” said Kouga as he pulled her in another direction than the one the boys and her had been traveling in.

“Umm… Kouga?” Kagome asked nervously.

“Yeah hun?” Kouga stopped and looked at her with shining eyes.

“I’m on a journey and have to travel with my other friends for the time being. I’ll have to play with you another time.” she said as she wrestled her hand away from him and started back to the river.

“Well let me help you cross the river then.” Kouga said near tears.

He picked her up and jumped over the river. He handed her pack to her and left the group as tears went down his cheeks. Kagome felt bad so she ran up to him and without saying a word she gave him a peck on the cheek. Which left him stupefied and smiling like an idiot.

The journey continued on with a gripping Inuyasha and a dominate Sesshomaru. As well as a laughing Inu Tashio.

Inu Tashio nearly fell out of the tree he was sitting in from the exchange that happened between the girl and the wolf boy. He knew that the wolf boy was none other than Kouga the Prince of the East Wolf Tribe.

He had a lot to learn about girls though. He just couldn’t stop laughing at what happened. He was kinda upset by the names he called his son Inuyasha though. He briefly thought about throwing a few rocks at the boy, but then felt it was better not to. After all that was child abuse… right?
