Disclaimer: I don't own them although I wish I did, Nor do I get the priveledge to earn any money(although it would help with all these damn payments!) the only ones I own are the ones that I create... Makes me want to cry!
Chapter 6
Dreams and Memories
All she had to do was reach that damned well again! Why couldn’t she get to it? Suddenly everything just stopped mattering, everything was ok. NO! her inner-voice screamed IT ISN’T OKAY! She wandered around the newly built well house, trying to open the well but the damned thing wouldn’t open. Holy Sutra’s were placed all over the lid. Suddenly she sensed a presence that was asking her to come join it. Wait not one but two energies but only one was aware she was there anymore. Her body long gone. As she entered the host body she became confused…
Kagome awoke with a start. Looking around she noticed everyone was asleep. As she lay on her back she contemplated how her life had gone. Ever since before she could remember she had a friend named Sasuna. She couldn’t remember what she had looked like but she knew she had been Beautiful.
Frustrated Kagome threw aside her blankets and got up. Taking a moment to gather her thoughts, she took off towards the river.
Sesshoumaru stood and went to follow Kagome but held back without knowing why. ‘She can handle herself she doesn’t need you to run after her.’
*I know this but I worry. Her dreams were troubled.*
‘I know that as well. But if she had wanted you to go with her she would have awoken you.’
*Fine I will just wait for her to return.*
Kagome sat down by the rivers edge staring at the cloudless sky. When her neck started to ache from being in the same position for so long she looked down into the water at her feet.
*Sasuna your back*
*Yes but I never left you I was always there.*
*I thought you had gone because I could no longer see you. It hurt when you stopped visiting.*
*Kagome don’t you realize yet what happened all those years ago?*
*No what happened?*
~~~~~~~~~meanwhile back at camp~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“I am telling you that we must go after her!”
“Inuyasha be quiet! If she wanted you or anyone of us around she would have requested one go with her. However, as it stands she didn’t so we wait.”
“Sango you agree with me right?”
“Actually Inuyasha I agree with Sesshoumaru. She would have woken one of us up to go with her if she felt the need for it.”
“GRRRRRRRR”
”Growling will get you no help from anyone here Inuyasha! We wait just as Sesshoumaru said. She will be back. We all know she will!”
“Shut up Monk! No one was asking you anyways!”
Sesshoumaru started to pace around the clearing. *Why would she have left with no one with her?*
‘Sasuna used to do the same thing you know.’
*Yes but there is no connection between the two.*
“Everyone just sit tight and grab something to eat we wait on Kagome to return.”

*Kagome, you called out to me while still in the womb of your mother. My body had long been turned to dust from time and that fire. You, however, were aware of my wandering spirit. You invited me into you. A demon spirit, that was desperate to get to the one she loved, yet you risked your pure energy to try to help. You are not the reincarnation of Kikyo. You never were. Your power is from your own essence. Kikyo’s spirit was within you to shield your strength from you. So you would not harm yourself on accident. She was the guardian. She willingly chose that position. Knowing that one day she would be let go to reveal your true essence but now is not that time. Now we must try to get you to remember everything from your past that you forgot.”
“Sasuna? Why? Why were you dead? Why did you die? And you never got to tell him you loved him did you?”
“No but my time is past, now is your time. Sesshoumaru will understand in due time. As it stands you are the successor to my powers. Look once more to the water.”
Kagome looked into the water and noticed a small diamond on her forehead, and twin stripes of pink going across her cheeks. She was shocked she had never seen them before.
“Where did those come from?”
“My powers are being transferred to you. Soon I will only have enough left to teach you with and then I will return to your subconscious where we will have arguments over whether or not Fluffy deserves to play a little.”
“But until then?”
“Until then I will remain in this solid form.”
“Sasuna I missed you so much.”
“I missed you too Kagome. Although I was never gone and we had a lot of arguments. Kagome I was your inner voice.”
“Ok I guess we should go and, well, introduce you to the others. And in one case re-introduce.”
Getting up from the river bank Kagome and Sasuna walked back to the campsite ready for the worst. Or so they thought…
