Chapter 6

It had been now five years and Rin was 19 years old a more natural age to actually start having children. Sesshomaru was out in the sparring ring watching his son practice using a sword with his own trainer. Since Saskai was 3 Sesshomaru wanted him to start learning combat at an early age. Now at the age of 5 he was starting to get a lot better at it even though he was still a young pup.

Saskai’s silver hair was already down to his waist it had grown rather quickly over the years. Rin had to put it up in a ponytail so it wouldn’t get in his way when he was training. Saskai was now showing one pink line on either side of his face like Sesshomaru’s. However he had only one on each side when his father had two.

When Saskai was still a baby Sesshomaru had gone to visit the ancient tree in his lands. He wanted to know why his son didn’t seem like a normal half-breed.

Flashback

“Uh Sesshomaru it has been awhile” the tree said to him, “I need to know something” Sesshomaru asked. “So you want to know why your son seems like more of a full blooded demon than a half-breed hmm”. “You should know the answer to that you are the tree who knows it all” Sesshomaru said. “True, very well I will tell you, the reason why your son seems more on a demon than a half-breed is because you had marked your mate when she was still pregnant with him and as your blood mixed in with hers it also helped your baby” the old tree told him.

“That’s impossible” Sesshomaru replied. “Not really though it is not like this can always happen, it didn’t happen to your younger brother Inuyasha, but it seems that since you made your mate a half-breed that part of Rin had been able to make your son a demon however even though he has pointy ears he still has a bit of human blood in him and the only way you can tell he is not all demon it because of his eyes” the old tree told him.

End of flashback

“Father, father” he soon snapped back to reality at hearing his young son calling out to him. “Father Hitaso said I can finish now” Saskai ran over to Sesshomaru, “very well go clean up we will be eating soon” he told his son. “Yes father” and Saskai ran back into the castle to get ready for lunch. “I have to say milord your son is improving rather quickly I know that he will become a great swordsman once he is older” Hitaso told him. “That is what I hope” and Sesshomaru to walked back into the castle.

Saskai was running through the hall when he bumped into someone and fell on the floor. “Ow” he rubbed his bottom. “I’m real sorry about that” he apologised, Saskai looked up and the person he had bumped into was Shurai. “Watch were you going next time you disgusting half-breed” Saskai just looked at her.

“Hmph I don’t know how lord Sesshomaru could choose such a ugly lowlife human and then have a half-breed as a son I will never know” she said. She then walked straight past him. Saskai just sat their he felt like crying after Shurai had said that about his mother and him. He wasn’t going to his father told him that a son of a great lord shall never cry for that shows him that he is weak.

“I will not cry I promised father that I will not cry” he said to himself he stood up and this time walked to his room. He was passing the library when he could smell his mother’s scent. The door was only half opened to he peeked around it and saw his mother reading a novel. Saskai leaned to close to the door that it squeaked a little. “Hmm is someone their” she called out, Saskai walked out into the clearing so she could see him.

“Saskai have you finished your sparing lesson already” Rin asked her son. “Yes mother” he said in a quiet voice. Rin could tell their was something wrong “darling is something the matter” she asked him. Saskai looked at her, Rin had become such a beautiful woman. Her lovely brown hair went down to her waist her dazzling brown eyes shone in the sunlight and her beautiful smile could make anyone happy. Saskai really loved his mother and he didn’t know why Shurai would say such things about her. Rin was such a gentle and loving person, he had decided that he would always protect his mother.

“Saskai” he looked up and his mother was right in front of him. She bent down so they where eye level with each other. “Sweetheart is something worrying you” she asked him with a concerned look on her face. “Mother I promise that I will always protect you” he just told her. “Well what brought this on” Rin asked him. “I just want to mother because I love you” and he then hugged her. “I wont let anything bad happen to you I promise” he said why still hugging her. “That makes me very happy to hear and I love you to” she replied.

They where all at the dinning eating until Jaken had walked in. “Milord I have word that lord Chensu and his wife lady Olisa will be coming here in seven days with their son” Jaken told him. “I know Jaken I was the one who invited them to come here” Sesshomaru told him. “Mi milord how could you not tell me your trusting servant” he said a tear coming down his eye. “Its ok master Jaken father probably forgot to tell you” Saskai told him from where he was sitting. Jaken just looked at the young boy and then left the dinning room.

“My I had no idea that you had asked lord Chensu and his wife over why such an arrangement it is not like you to invite guests” Rin said. “I think it is time for our son to meet there’s and besides there are a few things I would like to talk to Chensu about” Sesshomaru told her. “Father are you saying I might be able to have a friend” Saskai asked. Sesshomaru looked at his son and saw that same happy smile Rin always has. “If that is what you want” he then stood up and left the dinning room. Rin looked at Saskai and by the look on his face she knew he was rather excited.

It was night time and Rin had just put Saskai to bed and was heading back to her room which she shared with Sesshomaru. She walked in and her mate was already in bed reading a scroll “darling don’t you think it is a good idea to stop reading those scrolls for the day” she asked him. She got out of her kimono, Sesshomaru looked at her naked form in front of him why Rin was getting her robe. Just looking at her was making him get all heated up, Rin was just about to do her sash up when she felt to strong arms wrap around her waist.

Sesshomaru’s hand went under her robe and grasped one of her breasts making her moan. He then started to kiss her on her neck. Before things went further Sesshomaru picked Rin up in a bridal style and took her to their bed. “Sesshomaru I don’t want to wake Saskai up” Rin told him “then you will have to try not to scream” Sesshomaru replied.

He dropped her on their big king side bed because Rin’s sash hadn’t been tied up both sides of her robe flopped to the side revealing her naked form. Sesshomaru stood their taking in her arousing scent and the smooth look of her pink skin. He undid his sash and let his robe dropped to the floor. When ever Rin would see Sesshomaru naked it would always get her heated up. He got on top of her and pulled her robe all the way of and flew it to the floor.

He looked at her and brushed some of her locks out of the way and kissed her on her forehead. “I you” was all he said, he brought the covers over them and then held Rin in his embrace.

About four days later Rin kept waking up and having to go to the bathroom because she was going to be sick again. It had started two days ago, she also couldn’t barley eat anything if she did she was just throw it up again. Sesshomaru had decided to get a doctor to check on her and see if she was alright.

The doctor came and once he was finished he walked out of the room and needed to talk to Sesshomaru. “Is she alright” he asked the doctor “oh she is fine she just has a bit of morning sickness but that is natural since she is pregnant, congratulations milord” and the doctor walked of. Rin was pregnant he couldn’t believe it so he was going to be a father again, he walked into the room and could see a smile on Rin’s face. ‘So the doctor must have already told her’ he thought to himself. He walked over to her “are you feeling better” he asked her, Rin looked up at him.

“Much now that I know what’s wrong, can you believe it my love we are going to be having another baby” Rin said. Sesshomaru grabbed Rin’s hand “yes its wonderful” he replied. Saskai then barged into the room and jumped on his parents bed. “So its true am I going to be having either a brother or sister” he asked them. “Yes Saskai it is true” Sesshomaru told him, “yippee I’m gonna be a big brother I’m gonna be big brother” he was jumping on the bed. Of course it wasn’t very good for Rin.

“Saskai can you please not do that I feel like I’m going to be sick” Rin told him. Saskai stopped jumping “sorry mother” he said with a sad look on his face. Rin brought her hand up to his cheek “its alright” Rin told him. “Hey mother do you think I will be a good big brother” he asked her. “I think you are going to be a great big brother” she replied. That brought a big smile on his face he then jumped down “yeah I’m gone be the best big brother in the world” and he ran out of the room. Sesshomaru and Rin could hear him singing “I’m gonna be a big brother” all the way down the hall.

News got around fast about Rin becoming pregnant again and this time everyone was wondering what it will be. Some said it would be another boy and yet others thought it would be a girl this time. Mika was very happy when she heard the news about how their was going to be a new baby in the castle.

Saskai was so excited that he couldn’t wait until he knew if it was either a boy or a girl. Mika had asked him what he hoped it would be but he didn’t care either way. He would love and protect his new sibling once it was born.

The day had come when lord Chensu and his wife along with their only son was coming to the western lands to visit. Rin had already met lord Chensu and his wife lady Olisa and thought they where very nice. Both her and Chensu’s wife got along rather well, lady Olisa didn’t really care that Sesshomaru had chosen a human as his mate. She was a very kind and gentle demon and she never had a grudge against humans. Lady Olisa’s older brother had fallen in love with a human woman and she supported the both her brother and his human lover.

The first time Rin had ever met them was when Rin had gone over to the eastern lands with Sesshomaru about a year after Saskai was born but they did not bring him at that time. She had met their only son Riku he looked to be around the age of a five year old in human years. Of course demons grow at a slower pace than humans do. When Rin met him he seemed to be a rather rough boy but he was a demon after all.

Sesshomaru had given Rin a brand new kimono for her to wear for lord Chensu’s and his families arrival. She looked very beautiful and her hair was up with golden clips in it. Saskai couldn’t wait until he would meet lord Chensu’s son.

“Milord they have arrived” Jaken had walked into Sesshomaru’s study “were is Rin and Saskai” he asked them. “Oh they are waiting for you in the hall way” Jaken told him.

“Well the castle hasn’t changed” Chensu said to his wife why their where waiting for Sesshomaru and his families appearance. “Father did we really have to come here” their son Riku asked them. “Yes I would not pass up an invitation to see my dear friend and besides you can meet their son Saskai” he told his son. Over the last few years Riku looked like a five year which would be good for Saskai.

They then saw Jaken walk out “sorry for the wait but if you will follow me to the lounge room” he told them. Chensu and his family followed Jaken until they came to two big wooden doors. Their was a demon guard on either side of the door and they pushed the big wooden doors open. Sesshomaru was sitting on one of the long lounge chair, Rin was on his left and Saskai was on his right. The lounge room was huge, it had paintings of all his ancestors on the wall and lovely big antiques.

He stood up and walked over to Chensu. “Welcome to my home” he greeted him “well its about time you invited me here” Chensu smiled.

They walked over to the lounge chairs and sat down, lord Chensu and his wife and son sat down on another long lounge chair so they where facing Sesshomaru, Rin and Saskai. “So that must be your son, my Sesshomaru I have to say he looks just like you when you where a pup” Chensu said starting a conversation. “It is true many have said that” Sesshomaru replied “Saskai”, “yes father” he asked. “Introduce yourself” he told his son “uh yes of course” Saskai replied.

He walked up to lord Chensu and his family “hello my name is Saskai I am very honoured to meet you” Saskai said why bowing his head. “What a polite young child you have lord Sesshomaru” lady Olisa said with a gentle smile on her face. “Well its nice to meet you I am lord Chensu and this is my mate lady Olisa and our son Riku” Chensu told him. “Riku say hello to Saskai” he told his son. “Yeah okay” Riku stood up and stood in front of Saskai he was just a little bit taller than Saskai was.

“I’m Riku” he put his hand out, Saskai looked at his hand and then at the taller boy in front of him. A smile came up on his face “I’m Saskai” and he shook Riku’s hand. “I know that we will be the best of friends forever” Saskai said “yeah what ever” Riku replied.
